2800 to 3000 is possible ONLY with certain people and you have to know who is desperate enough to "pay up". 2500 is much more easily obtainable, reasonable. The scammers at the airport who will come up to you asking "change/cambio/money" will quote you a price that will depend on how stupid you look and your Spanish skills.

I don´t think I look that stupid and my Spanish is decent and I was quoted 2400.

btw, take into account security issues when exchanging money. going somewhere with someone you don´t know to change even as little as 500 dollars.... that´s a lot of bolivares that someone might be interested in, not to mention the possibilility of giving you fake money. Familiar with the look and feel of local currency?

The Hilton is a nice hotel. Nice pool. Good restaurants. Well located. Only a fair Gym though. But, the last couple of times I have stayed and played there, they assessed me a $50 guest fee when an escort came to see me. Now, it might have been the hour (around 10 or 11 PM.) Earlier visits, I had no problem but also made my appointments at 7 or 8 PM. You might be able to avoid this in four ways:

1. Wait for her in the Bar.

2. I have been told that security only watchs the Hilton Honors tower (located directly behind the reception counter.) There is a second tower located near the sushi bar/internet cafe, that is unmonitored and also accessable from the pool/restaurant/bar level. I have even seen older (I mean older) pros hanging out in this area and near the small shopping area near here.

3. Have the bellman arrange something for you. He will certainly be taking a commission and will make things go smoothly.

4. I don't think you'll have problems if your catch comes from Bar Morrisson. Most of these girls are appropriately dressed and normally not "real young" (18, 19, 20 y/o). They look like they belong more in this hotel.

One other thing that used to happen. Near the elevators for the Honors Tower, there was a sitting area. At around 6 PM to 10 PM there used to be a small group of young girls that would sit there and eye unaccompanied men. I think they were working as well but I can't confirm. Most were very attractive. On my last two trips to this hotel, they were not there. But, maybe they might have returned. It's worth a 30 second look.

Good luck. Things should be a bargin right now in the $45 - $70/hour range. Doesn't sound like a bargin but for Caracas, it is. If you speak Spanish, fairly good looking, have the game, and hold a blue passport, try the clubs. There are enough non-pros looking to leave Venezuela, that you'll probably hook up in the discos for free. You'll need to work the work it a little harder than in Colombia or Brazil but it is acheivable if they think that you are being sincere.

Go to a Venezuelan love motel (the city is crawling with them) and in one of the best ones you will pay 3oK bolivares for pretty much the whole night. That's a little over 10 dollars.

On BJ´s comment about picking up nonpros in discos because they are dying to leave: I wouldn´t put my money on that bet and on you being successful with such a method, but I could be wrong. I´ve been wrong before.

P.S. I would recommend you get the fuck out of the Hilton and instead go to the JW Marriott in El Rosal. Much superior location and no guest fees that I know of (a friend stayed there and wasn't charged)

I'm not trying to justify my actions here or defend my position. I am passing on some infomation and impressions.

I don't stay in the Hilton any more, for just that reason. I have stayed in the CCCT, Eurobuilding/suites, and Taminaco without a problem. I would have normally paid the $50 fee except pussy was staring me in the face, I was horny, and didn't want to leave the hotel at 11 pm at night. Maybe it would have made more sense to go on to a "love motel" but call me lazy. I did it once before in Santo Domingo and generally hated the local.

An additional factor was the night this happened, I had the unlucky pleasure of sharing the Hotel with Chavez. (Lot's of security, why he spent the night in the hotel, I'll never know.) I thought it was an anomoly, so I gave them a second chance. When it happened twice, I changed hotels to the above.

As far as non-pro girls. I've done it, I've seen it, and it works. My comparison between Colombianas and Venezuelanas, my be personal experience but I feel the Colombianas want simply a good night out. I think they would also love to get to the promised land but Venezuelanas seem to have that as their prime agenda. Again, just personal feeling.

Was strolling around Sambil, the big mall here, and Wow! I forgot how beautiful these women are.

Angelus is located in Chacaito near Sambil (the mall). All the taxis know it. Not far from the Euro Building. And of course, all mongers welcome.

I found a place also that´s fairly close to Sambil that is open 24 hours a day for chica service. It´s called Hotel Rosalida ... on Avenida Cassanova. Basically a hotel that rents rooms for the hour ... chica included ... cost is 45,000 Bolivares.
Had 4 chicas sitting around when I arrived at about 2pm ... 2 rated as 6´s ... 1 was a 7 ... and of course I picked the lone 8.
Like a dumb shit, I left my digital camera in the room after the service and the chica came running out to return it to me ... I got lucky and I tipped her a $20 bill ... she saved me! I think the tip was more than the service cost.

If we meet at Angelus on the 25th ... most likely, we´ll be the only gringos there. I´ve been there a bunch and have never seen another gringo. Nice and friendly place though, full of hot chicas. Little expensive for Caracas but good place to make contacts for the next day or week or whatever. Think full service in-house is about $100 US ... a little steep for here. Take out service is way too much ... don´t know exactly how much just that it´s mucho.

the Rosalida is home to at least ONE "estudio" which is why you found what you found. But other than that, it is also just a normal love motel for normal couples who stream in and out of here. At 14K for a room it is about the cheapest in the area , yet CLEAN.

they advertise in ElUniversal under "estudio in Chacaito" since that is exactly where they are, just below the shopping center area. The name of the studio escapes me, but yes it is 45K for the hour. The girls were somewhat average looking if I recall.

Chacaito isnt exactly near Sambil but this depends on your sense of distance. Its walking distance if you like to walk.

2500 is a decent exchange price.

personally I absolutely despise Angelus. It is a clip joint and way too expensive for what they think they offer. Of course it is also quite popular and you will find visiting gringos here but mostly Venezuelan business types, etc. If you think a special dress and more "glam" including a whole lot of plastic tit is your style then more power to you, especially if you think its worth double or triple what you would pay anywhere else.

but I dont even think most of the girls are that attractive though yes there are some exceptional ones. What will always happen is some hag will attach herself to you and suck you for drinks and company etc. The waiters all want you to order a bottle of whiskey (very expensive) and other nonsense.

Morrisons has it own problems but I would take it over Angelus any day of the week.
Ditto for the other strip joints around town which I prefer over Angelus any day of the week (though strip joints are overpriced)

Aladin actually exists in several cities in Venezuela, and what it is is a very upscale Love Hotel. They have theme rooms, and suites, etc etc etc

the hotel does not provide girls. You bring your own. People that don`t bring their gf`s or wives, make arrangements with an agency beforehand, etc. or they have "regular" girls that they make arrangements with.
