Hi all,

I know my question is out of the ISG topic. But, i really wonder what is the situation in Jakarta now? I have a business trip in wednesday and really wonder should i proceed with my business plan or cancel it.

Can anyone just kindly let me know the situation in Jakarta mainly about the flood situation?

Just to update.. My meeting in JKT has been postponed as the situation is quite bad. Certain areas are fine but it may be impossible to get around the city due to the floods and conjestion.

Will be going there in March instead. Hope you guys take care as the water situation may be contaminated.

My office told me to stay away for a while as phone and internet not working properly and depending on location, still flooded. If you're on business, talk to your other party and see what they say.

Yes, when you go to Europe and have a heart attack upon seeing the rates (250 euro for one hour!), it definitely makes JKT shine, inflation and all.

I hope it will be OK tonight, as I have booked 2 girls from Top Gun. My Head Office wants me to get out, so I have to find excuses.

If you want my opinion: postpone the trip to next week or 2.

Hey, don't come to Jakarta! It's an absolute shit-hole. Even if it wasn't flooded at the moment, you should never step near the place. The traffic is atrocious, the pollution is choking, things don't work, corruption is rampant, the weather just makes you sweat. And as for touristy things like culture, beaches, shopping, historic architecture, forget it......

Everyone agrees that Jakarta has nothing going for it as a city. Everyone....including Dewi, Sri, Anna, Diah, Dian, Ida, Ade, Liah, Alin, Ririn, Atun, Rita, Dera and all the other gorgeous women listed in my handphone.....Ah it's hard work keeping them all entertained when there's nothing to do here....

Historic architecture? What about the old harpies at the Bali Hai bar, the famous BJ bar at Blok M?

I specifically remember seeing one working lady at Bali Hai who had to be at least 50, maybe older. Now that's historic!

On a serious note, many of our favorite ladies are not working this week, as they've either been flooded out of their rooms, or can't get to work because the road from their neighorhood is still flooded.

One of my Marabaya Spa 6th floor favorites, Vicki, sent me an sms today explaining that she hasn't made it to work since last Thursday, but that she'd be at "the office" (her phrase, not mine) tomorrow and was hoping that I'd stop by for a session with her :)

They're mostly chickadees I've connected with through pay websites and chatsites. I am currently in Angeles City and considering a side trip to Bali via Jakarta. Can someone please advise the best way (and cost) of getting to Bali from the airport in Jakarta? And will it be a problem getting to Bali due to the recent floods?
