I read quite a few reports here from guys who did just fine in both places if they are a little higher rollers. Budget wise, I want more and am willing to pay for more. Flight from ATL to DR I got for $401. I have a bad spine, so sitting that long, even in the economy plus section, I would be a pretzel for 3 weeks. I'm heading to Pattaya next year after I get my bonus though, it's on my list. This year is DR + Bogota + Panama.

As far as girls in the room TLN. I plan on staying at the nicer properties when possible, (JW Marriott is the running favorite) I will keep pretty much everything in the front desk safe. I'm planning on coming with a busted up old cell phone that does the job, and then just keeping the cash I need for the day on me. I don't mind paying a guest fee, and I have no problem paying a chica fee to register them. What are they going to steal? An alarm clock? I don't see a chica trying to hustle down the elevator with a TV in a chain hotel.

Guys, I just re-read my post below and it seemed a bit harsh on Sosua. That wasn't my intention, I didn't mean to bash the place. My point was to help the poster adjust his expectations so he's not disappointed. Then if it's all he hoped for, he's pleasantly surprised. Thinking back, it was probably more like 14 or 15 years ago so Sosua might not have had any resemblance to today, or likely I missed something. Also, I was fresh off the plane and it was the first place I got to. I too ran into the situation someone described to that clown who planned on burning girls, when the agreed price gets raised afterwards. She didn't want to leave without a big hassle. I don't dig that so I'm sure that stuck with me. After that I spent the next month traveling by foot, rental motorbike, car and bus sightseeing and meeting some nice gals I had lined up off DC.

Anyhow, thanks to Oakie, Wrx, Mr Gogo and the other locals for all the great info. Looking forward to going back for a much longer stay soon as possible. I'll be sure to update. All the best to Yyz, let us know how it goes!

Right now its not much activity on the DR board because everyone is still on hold waiting for things to open back up. Its going to be some time and a few hiccups before we get back to anything that resembles the past.

I still worry for the DR because I have yet to see testing numbers. Positive cases are reported as about 6000 cases and about 250 deaths. How many have been tested? Lots of rumors and just yesterday in Puerto Plata a big ceremony on the malecon. Currently I think most guys here are in survival mode and not sex mode.

I think sex as we knew it will change drastically. Maybe expect masks during sex or girls scared to do oral raw. I call it "Scared fucking". I expect more guys will settle for main girls they are comfortable with vs multiple girls daily. Wouldn't it be funny to see Sosua girls with thermometers taking temperatures before sex? Won't get that bad I hope.

For travel I look at the Taiwan model as an example. Temperature checks at the airport on arrival. It's not a good idea to run your life based on third hand stories. If you tell me you got ripped off, and how, I may take that into consideration, but what some other guy / chica told you is a non starter for me.

In 10 years or so I've fucked over a 100 or so locals, found them to be more interested in getting paid for services rendered and looking for repeats, than looking to steal my stuff.
