In December 2005 I was several times in CM2 (on X-mas eve everything was in white:), including the ladies).
I took several girls on different moments to my Hotel in Silom (5 minutes with a cab). Spend between 1.500 - and 3.000 depence on the lady.
I read some weeks ago that someone said the price in CM2 was around 5 - 6 K Bath. I can't believe there is such a price increase!
Does anyone know any airline that have cheap flights from Manila to Bangkok? All the major airlines are very expensive. I am also going to post this on the Manila site. By the Way, I did a search and did not find any information on this.

Thanks Bill - I saw a program that did a piece on this type of dining in Japan and was curious to see if it is available in BKK. I would love to see a pic of that food model Lilani.

I only know air asia fly to Clark and not Manila. But u need cheap flight right. Hope u find what you need.

I think you are right about where it is, but no dount he put the pictures in this thread to show what a no hands restaurant looks like inside.
Haven't seen any discussion of the after-effects of the military coup - in terms of safety, availability of TG's, etc. Implicit from the posts, I think that there has not been a major impact. Is that correct? I am thinking of stopping-over in BKK on my way to India. Would appreciate any input from other Mongers on whether BKK continues to be a safe place to travel. Thanks, and as usual, will contribute any unique experiences to the board.

Go to politics thread, i posted NYT article that basically said it was a 'non-event'. Absolutely no real impact on what interests us on this board :)
jayf1970, I just left BKK this morning. Was there 2 weeks ago for a few days, and arrived again 3 days ago.
My comment to your question insofar as normalcy of life in BKK:

As others have noted, there has been virtually no impact to daily life (or night life, for that matter) in Bangkok.
My routine hasn't changed a bit, and I have traveled out of country and back twice with no dramas whatsoever.

I've posted several times about this already on various threads in LOS concerning this same question. Only place the coup affected seems to be BKK and that was really a "non-event" as others had call this coup. For several days after the coup, BKK closed down some stores and offices and traffic was light but thats about it. Everything back to normal now so enjoy.

As not to confuse Csun any further:
Let me clarify.
1)AirAsia dont fly directly from BKK to Manila. You will need to actually book 2 flights from BKK on airasia to get to Manila.
2)BTW: Manila is Clark (its the airport outside of city)

Clark is the Old American Airbase in Angeles City about two hours outside of Manila. I imagine it's even longer now because of the increase in traffic.
