OK I headed out last night and went to MC. It was indeed open and more crowded than I have ever seen. Must have been 20 plus customers in the place and probably 12-15 chicas. I don't think I have ever gone on a weekend before. I prefer the slower days where I may be the only customer.

Different. Casa Australia is the place off of Gomez behind hotel Principe and MC is off of 27 between defillo and Mendoza.

I have been to GBP on 27, so that is no problem.

I think I found MC on my map. Mendoza is between Churhill and Caceres. Enter Mendoza, go two blocks and make a right onto Hatuey and look for the house #504B. Correct?

Correct?[/QUOTE]That will get you to MC but the street changed names from hatuey to Francisco Prats Ramirez. As long as you go to 2nd block on Mendoza you will be fine.
I lost about 150 dollars, with a scam on the street, changing money with some guys in Park Independencia near Pacos restaurant. Guys offered 36 peso exchange, I was supposed to get 7200 pesos, for 200 dollars, I had the 7200 pesos, then the guy said let me check and he added a bunch of 50 pesos bill. When I walked away and later checked my money I only had 1800 pesos. Seems this is on ongoing scam in Santo Domingo, the guys are good at this fraud. I went to the police and then two different police stations. I hope they catch these scumbags. It is the last time I will change money in the street in Santo Domingo. I think I encountered one of these guys on my last trip in July on Ave. Independencia, near Pasteur, but I did not change money with him the last time.
Just a heads up, these guys will offer a super great exchange rate, but somehow they switch the money, not sure how they do it, but they fooled me.
Staying at the Palacio, very nice hotel, totally chica friendly, they ask for cedulas of chicas upon entering, and make a copy. Nice pool on the 4th floor. Some online girls visited me, good sex.
