Go unleash The Thunder down under!
Bump.
Same here, traveling on a first time trip to Sosua in 2 weeks.
After reading the forum the last few weeks particularly this post, I'm having second thoughts. Having enjoyed Colombia, Peru, CR, PI, and Thailand am I wasting my time in Sosua? Does the GFE still exist or is it just a city with thugs, thieves, and mechanical LON all trying to make a fast buck?
I have a non refundable $1000 ticket but sounds like it may be more lucrative to cut my loses now rather than have a miserable vacation with the potential of extortion and jail time!
Thoughts and feedback greatly appreciated!
Remember there's a "storm rolling in" "thunder down under" in Sosuas forecast. Go have a great time, Wrx2005 said it best this is an " exception" and not the rule" yes heed the "warning signs" this board have to offer. Don't get paranoid have your wits about you, and go have fun" Judge Wed2005 has ruled! Case is closed! I will be in Sosua June 7-14th, so if you want to see me "get drunk be obnoxious, and video tape, my making it rain" cause I'm big balling" hit me up! (totally joking!). Oldkool, Hillbilly69, Mr Enternational, Mr Gogo come see me. Lmao!
I thought it was just me.
But man, I think some of us are over-reacting just a bit. If I am reading correctly a basketball team (from the ghetto of course) can attribute the rise in the value of the Brazilian real, and the thriving Brazilian economy to the trips they had to Brazil. And also I don't think the world is going to end because there are young black men over-tipping women somewhere. Well the only alternative I see now is that American Airlines and jetblue should put some kind of cap on how many of us black men should fly now.
