Met a very nice street walker by nana. I had a very pleasant evening. The sweetest girl you could find. There are alot of girls by Nana Mall standing around waiting to be picked up.
Pay 1500 baht and she spend the whole night. Had braskfast this morning gave her money for cab fare. Overall a great evening.
I am having a great time in Bangkok.
By the way for those worry about the weather, after 3:00 PM the sun has come out and by the look of things it will stay out.
Yesterday no rain.
2 more days in Bangkok and then it off to Pattaya.

Maybe the phrase "The longer you stay in Thailand the less you are wanted by the Thai's" actually is true, I'm personally starting to think that it is.
There also seems to me to be a sort of us (farangs) versus them (thai's) attitude and some sort of underlying power struggle that exists between farangs and thai's that I frequently encounter while mongering here in the LoS.
YMMV

YMMV
Perhaps maybe between 'some' farangs and lower classed Thais. As in, newbie farang marries some taxi driver's wife. But even then, it seems in those situations, it's the two Thais who know what the situation is. Otherwise there isn't much of a struggle because the locals hold most of the cards otherwise. Foreigners have to pretty much have to jump through hoops when it comes to most legal and social issues in general. The only struggle I see are foreigners trying to come to terms with their place in the LOS after the 'honeymoon' is over.

Years!
Is 1500-2500 the going rate
And for how long.
If it is, it sound expencive.
Your report
You mentiond China town as being a hot spot for the action and you said you got a service for 500.
But you did not indicate time spent.
How much time did you get with the Girl for 500?
Are there any other areas of Bankok that are hop spots?
I know ElHombreContento mentioned Nana; what and where is this?
Thanks,
James

They only want the clueless tourists.
But the respectable Thais will start to want you more.

YMMV
I think this is somewhat true, but what has changed is the expat "sees the light." When you first come here you are overwhelmed by the "smiles" and the women. Live here a few years and you get an idea of what most Thais really think of you. Most would rather us just not be here.
Was at dinner with another long term expat and an expat that used to reside in Brazil and has lived here now for the last couple of years. He stated that one of the main differences between Brazil and Thailand was in Brazil he had quite a few local male friends once he learned Portuguese. In Thailand none, even though we all speak Thai. That is true for most expats. While I have locals that I work with the only Thais males that I would consider friends are those that spent a significant time in the West, and I don't mean just for university.
There is a huge cultural gap in the way the majority of Asian men handle things and the way Westerners do. Thought processes, actions, etc. It is a gap that is almost insurmountable.

If you have a bad attitude and treat people poorly, then you will attract bad treatment. Everywhere.
If you are a person with the ability to adapt and enjoy new environments, Thailand is as good, and actually, better, than most places in the world. Realistically, most Thai people are too involved in their own lives - (family, kids, religion, food, money, fun, etc.) - to have an opinion one way or another about "foreigners."
I've lived here awhile and can say that I prefer my life in Thailand much more than other places I've lived and visited. People are generally friendly, the food is good, transportation is good, and relationships (friends and lovers) are fulfilling. Nobody said it was going to be easy, though.
If anything, the worst of the Thai lot can be found is the places that tourist flock to. These people are trying to make a living, just like any other place in the world. I think, in general, the foreigners I observe in these places are a lot ruder than the Thais.
If you limit your life and time in Thailand to just "pussy," you will miss out on a lot that it has to offer. Just my opinion. :)

Dash Riprock, Goatscrot, Amjeck, Fon Tok,
All of you have very valid opinions no one is right and no one is wrong. I look at Fon Tok and Goatscrot comments and I believe both of your opinions are derived from your experience in different locations and I living here in Pattaya can relate much more to Goatscrot opinions but like always Fon Tok also has a good grasp of the Thai life.
Here is mines I don't expect anyone to agree with it and certainly don't expect me to debate what I have written. It is a general opinion I have derived from living it.
Without going into detail I came to reside in Thailand (Pattaya) for many reasons much different than many of you. I have met some very legit rich Thais but mostly rich not legit Thais. I live modestly here in Pattaya and although not a saint and not born yesterday I came here with a bright perpective and as at home treat everyone with respect the way I like to be treated. I didn't come here looking for trouble but for some reason trouble came looking for me. Maybe I'm cursed or its just the way I look or the way I come across to everyone which makes me a easy target?
I've had many tell me even priest, monks, and expats they have never heard anyone living here have so much bad luck. Through my experiences I have learned a lot about Thais and how they view farangs and me in Pattaya only! I was born and raised in the USA can pass for Thai, Japanese, Korean at the same time I have many advantages I also get discriminated by Thais just like you whites guys and get discriminated by white farangs living and visiting Pattaya. I live among the poor to middle class Thais although I don't have much I'm like a millionaire to those around me but I don't flash or throw it in front of others especially the Thais. I eat Thai and pretty much live a Thai life. I'm known to everyone as having a good heart and will feed any kid who comes into my home while their parents are working.
But in the end I've been taken advantage, ripped off, etc. At one point I slapped and pretty much was thinking payback to those regardless of who they were. I was told by one Thai " that you can't live safely in Thailand " I took that as a threat and struck before he could just like how a Thai would have responded. But what I expected even surprise me? I was taken aback that what I did was unacceptable but if I was Thai it would have been the normal or expected or I wasn't a man or I would have lost face. But because I was a outsider there was a different standard, a standard for a Thai and a standard for a foreigner.
Sorry have to end here but will return later to complete hopefully?

Spasso rates
I was at Spasso (Grand Hyatt) with a GF a couple of months ago and was impressed with the quality of the freelancers. I almost got in trouble with my girl.
Can anyone help with how much are these girls charging for ST and LT.
Thanks
There was some brouhaha some time back on these pages regarding the amount I paid. I paid 6000 for the first alnighter. 4000 for a short time girl the second time (2 hours) and 4000 for a girl who left for office after lunch with me on my next visit. If someone has better numbers, let us know so that we can benefit.
I talked to many girls and 4000 is the absolute minimum quoted for any girl that I liked.
This is my 2 cents as reply to above. If someone doesn't agree with what I paid, there's nothing to be done now!

That standard was I was suppose to let it go? I was told pretty much that the guy doesn't have the money and that he needs to feed his family. I was made to feel because I was a farang that if someone stole from me that it was okay for me to loose it. The Thais don't seem to understand or care that the money lost affected my family. In another situation I used the court system only to be told later by another lawyer as a Farang the system in these situation was useless, you should have stuck with previous choice and pay the mafia to knock him off.
Regardless, how much we tell Thais that we are not all loaded in cash and we are just like Thais, some have it, some don't and there are many in between. It doesn't sink in! They ask to borrow money and promise to pay back when they have no means to do so and when you question them they are offended and loose face. I certainly don't feel Thais hate me but the closes I could come is that they feel because we are here or live here they are entitled to cheat or ask us to pay more. Just this year I was at Royal Garden with my son and his friend they wanted to see the Wax museum. Jack Spirro, of Pirates of Carribean told the cashier to charge me Farang price. I told the guy " Ding Dong " I have live here for nearly 10 years at what point do you think I could pay Thai price " another fruit loop Thai shot back at me and said " if you have been here 10 years you should have a Thai driver license " I show him one and he didn't say a thing then I lecture all of them in front of everyone that I'm just like you! That when you bleed your blood is red so is mines.
I don't disagree that no race has a lock on rudeness and have seen many Farangs act poorly but I don't think this topic is about rudeness. While Thai men walk away from there responsibility to their kids because they can't control their little head but when a Farang does it is not acceptible. I have heard more than my share of Thai women sitting around in discussion as to how get a Farang and what you should expect from them. The first thing they seem to compare with each other is how much they are getting from the sucker. It's like a game or a badge of honor as to how much one gets they have a school of their own. They have a expectation that the man should take care of them if he is a Farang but that standard doesn't apply to a Thai.
For years I have been told that I need to be 100% Thai, This would never be asked of a white guy because his skin can't be changed but because I look like one of them they have no problem with the request. I have sat with so many Thai girls asking me how to get a Farang? What do they like? Teach me. I sit now and just smile like a Thai man smiling and drinking my Sansome. Saying anything or giving too much advice sooner or later they get upset or loose face. I'm Chinese and have been throughout China and never have ever experience so much loosing face from a culture like the Thais. When I first came on this board I was told by a long standing member who got kicked off that saying the culture is backwards is being kind.
As Fon Tok noted there are worst places and Thailand overall is pretty good but stay with just the pussy. But when you live here that is easier said than done the more you become entrence into the country it can sour you. I have been but the last few years I am trying to reinvent myself and I'm slowly transforming myself to many of the Thai ways and one of them is just smile and try not to let it get to me. Now I do as Thai men do let your little head do the leading. I use to feel guilty but now I have no problem fucking a Thai mans wife if she wants a shoulder to cry on because he is out being a butterfly. I have been in bars and after they hear my story have given me what I call simpity fucks while I'm getting sucked off I thinking only in Thailand LOS!
I have committed myself to never allowing this country and people to beat me down or take away my joy for life. I have allow those that have wrong me in the past to move on except for one and god help him and his family the day I find him. Meantime I am transforming and I'm becoming their worse nightmare. I'm a Farang that knows too much and look like them and that has many plus with Thai women but in the end I am no better or worse than you guys except this ATM has limitation. The women believe what they want and I always tell them the truth " I have no money to take care of you " they believe what they want but when I'm done I pay them and thank them. I walk away knowing that I still treat everyone the same with respect until they deserve otherwise. I have been jaded and I guard myself and say very little because my life is in Thailand.
They don't hate us but boy they sure think we owe them something that isn't expected from their own people?
Enjoy and thanks for allowing me to vent. LBM
