I tried to get that rate from them directly for my 3 day stay and could not, so I booked it with Agoda - which basically IS giving that rate - plus, I got an added $25 discount using my Agoda rewards. But I had to pay up front. No big deal.

Spent 3 nights there in a deluxe suite for 2, 500 Baht per night. Good location, 5-10 mins to Nana, a bit further to Cowboy, not too far to Suk and the BTS. Can use a short cut through the Park Hotel to get to Soi 7. 7/11 just down the road and plenty of street food outside, plus Climax next door in the Ambassador.
Check-in seemed to be a major hassle though, I don't know why it took them so long to sort it out, and 1 of our 2 rooms wasn't ready (ok, no problem) but it took a couple of phone calls to the reception after the hour they told us it would take to be ready before we could get into it. Also the room smelt a bit musty, and if you forgot to shut one toilet door you would smash the other one into it when you opened it.
Good pool, huge safety box (enough for a laptop), room service not too expensive if you're being lazy and a good bed. Shower over bath only. Room was in Tower 2, ask for a room away from the Ambassador as their birds are quite noisy, I got one overlooking the pool.
100% GF, was with a long-term girl but they kept asking for her ID at nights until I waved them away. But at least the option is there if you want it.
Would I stay again? Maybe, if I could get the same rate. I'm still searching for my perfect hotel.

Roomus giganticus. Four minutes from BTS Asoke, an in house full sized Villa Market, a great bakery, and a big city class restaurant with free open menu breakfast. Guest friendly as well. Views? Possibly the best in town.

I am assuming you've stayed at the Column? When I walk over to Foodland (from Soi 19)(is that the market you meant vs Villa) for breakfast I walk by this place. I've read various reveiws, some good, some bad.
Overall how was this place for you?

Yep have stayed there twice this year. First time was the studio, second was a one bedroom. Studio huge, too much empty wood floor, the one bedroom was very good, especially for the location & price. YMMV.
Room: I just move the sofa and chairs so they are right in front of the gargantuan windows. Voila, all the ambiance you need (the view is the star here.) My girlie girls liked the place, but I thought it was a bit sterile so I got a ton of fresh flowers and dressed it up for the stay. Cool huh? (230 baht total.) Bed was a bit harder than my condo, but I don't give a shit, good for my back.
Free breakfast choices for me (there are many): steak & eggs (med-rare over-ez = perfect) and teriyaki salmon with scrambled, xlnt.
Pool is nothing to write home about, but it was clean, and the bar had decent margaritas for the late afternoon massage babies.
Twenty four hour Foodland downstairs (two minutes from room), BTS: four minutes, huge rooms, great price, GF.
The one thing I don't like is crossing Suk at night on the way back from Soi Cowboy, that sucks. But, WTF though it's only a five minute walk, things could be worse.
OK, OK, yeah I admit it, I got a thing for one of the receptionists there, she is sooo fucking hot. We good? ;)

I've booked into President Solitaire Premier Suite Club( Refurbished). Is GP Tower(Tower 2) better or PS?
The pros for PS are: fast check in; late checkout , free soft drinks/beer in the Happy hours, free Wifi but no broad band.
The Pros for GP are free broadband. Couple of hundred bahts more expensive

I have staying at the MS. Every trip to BKK.
The present trip, I booked a Single superior room at 1570baht /night including breakfast. The thing I like this MS. Most is the freindly attitude of the staff and the clean room. Just big enough.

I honestly don't know. I've never stayed there, but a few folks who's opinions I trust said that they liked it for value and location. I like the fact that it's GF, and I like the location near Asoke, and I like the price. If it's not the greatest, I can surely survive it for 3 days. My other choices were the Dawin and the Majestic Suites. Or I could have paid double and stayed at the Plaza Athenee or the Majestic Grande. I have no need for that for the 3 days I'll be in Bangkok.
I'm certainly not looking for a place that costs $80-90 a night all in. There are tons of them. I was looking for a decent place for under $60, and it was really between the 3 I mentioned: SilQ, Dawin, and Majestic Suites. I am more than familiar with the Majestic Suites. I wanted something closer to Asoke/Cowboy for a change of pace, and maybe a bit nicer if possible, but not for $80+ a night. In a bit more than 3 weeks, I'll certainly know the answer as to how the SilQ stacks up - but the price and location were certainly right, and it's GF. That puts it above the minimum requirement.
The MS. Hotel is just in a prime location for all entertainments activities.
For somereasons, I still like to stay close to NEP and the Nana BTS.
Certainly, there is Nothing wrong to choose a hotel adjacent to Asoke
Station. But, the MS. Price is hard to Beat. $50usd. Totally GF.
Please is anybody familiar with Royal Asia Paradise hotel on soi8 of Shukumvit Rd, is it GF? and accessible to Soi Cowboy? Would appreciate this information.

I have stayed at the MS many times. I was looking for a change of pace, as far as location and I paid the same price for the SilQ (actually even less with my Agoda points discount applied), which, I had heard to be even nicer than the MS.
I totally understand the desire change for a new thing. I almost change a new hotel for this trip. However, in the end, I decided to come back M. S. And like the Old saying " Why fix when things working". And for sure it works out for me.
