I am coming to Thailand come hell or high water. LOL. But it won't be till the end of November. Can anybody tell me if yellow or red shirst are sort of taboo? A Thai friend was teasing me about it, but I am not sure they were teasing.

You come to Thailand to help the suffering Thais to deal with the flood crisis. Whether they are red shirts of yellow shirts does not really matter. You could help to build sand bags, organize food and water supply chains and take care of people who are living within the flood for weeks now. Sick people, hungry people, with rashes and wounds at their legs because they permanently walk through polluted and partly toxic water.

As for a quick feedback, I visited the usual places, some Cowboy and Nana gogo bars. Soi 7 (Beer Garden, New Wave) and soi 5 (Gulliver) hang outs and Climax and Liquid (Nana) discos. As they say in LOS all same same really, not much changed since Dec / Jan when I was there. Prices have gone up slightly (Climax entry now 250B from 200B).

Billboard gogo in Nana is worth a visit, it brings out the perv in you sitting next to that jacuzzi with those young looking girls naked and they have a fairly descend dance show on the other stage.

The Strap's (I think it's called) is a small Thai run gogo (as far as I could say) in Nana, it has 100B Singha and fairly attentive and friendly dancers. A bit low key and as yet fun place. (Later on one of the young ones from Billboard jacuzzi turned up with a friend and started dancing there!)

Also went to Nataree soapie for the 2nd time, report in the massage section.

Had a bad experience at Hillary Bar at soi 4 (where they have live music on the Nana Plaza side of the street). Just walked in to find a place to sit or stand as the place was full and some security moron jumped in my face and waved a menu, before I or my friend could say we are looking for a place to sit, he said if you don't drink get out, shouted loudly get out now with hands waving and looking very angry. He literally through us out of the place. Let's just say I won't be returning to that shit-hole, if it doesn't welcome it's customers and treat them like that, I recommend you do the same. In the short time I was there I noticed most of the girls in the place were old hags who won't get a look in in the discos anyway, so not a big a loss, I'll spend my money somewhere else where my business is welcome.

I think all in all I only took a few new girls to my hotel, I have some regulars, I hardly go hunting on a few days trip in BKK, I should plan a longer trip! LOL. Did the usual touristy things with my friend who was visiting first time, by the way he mostly went to normal massage places for P4P and seemed to be happy with his choices. One new place I went was Sky Bayoke (sp?) hotel. Now charging 250B for a visit to their revolving top 84th floor. You get a free drink and can stay there as long as you want (I read it used to be 120B!). I guess you can get a good view of the floods there now! (but it's a nice way to see Bangkok city and it's various areas). You can walk to Pantip Plaza from there through a very cheap clothes market.

I also used the Air Link train this time. 35B plus 60B taxi to Suk. I used it again to go back. Saying Makassan station to the taxi drivers instead of the airport makes them go green with envy, that alone was worth it. LOL.
