Motorcycle rentals in Cartagena
I have rented motorcycles in Sosua before and thought I'd report back on this topic. There is this rental place in Sosua on the street leading past new garden and Rocky's.
They rent small bikes (150cc) , scooters, Harleys or similar cruisers, Jap sport bikes and even ATVs I think. The rental experience is great with no cheating etc. Which is quite exceptional for DR. My complaint is that rates are too high and they do not give you much gas when you start off your rental. Helmet is included in price of rental.
The Jap bikes rent out fast and I believe they rent out for $100 a day. The local bikes rent out for $60 or so. I rented one of these for 2 days. Kinda lame given that I ride a 1200cc back home. But seemed underpowered as I rode this to BB / Costambar. But locals seem fine with these small bikes.
I noticed a group of black dudes. 4 or 5 of them riding fast Jap rentals from same place and riding at 60 or 90 mph. Yeah the bikes can do it but there are potholes and other hazards out there so be careful. Those 1000cc on a Suzuki GSXR are going to kill you. You don't want to crash in DR on vacation.
For those thinking about renting I recommend really thinking hard about risks when crashing. If you hit something you will pay gringo rates and locals will always win. The police and hospital are quite likely during your stay here especially if you have not driven in third world countries before.
If you like motorcycles, then the best riding in the world is in Colombia. I ride all over the world and live in Cartagena and it is as good as it gets. You can rent bikes starting at $150 a week. For more information, just drop me a note.
I've been away for the past 15 months
Hi guys,
After falling for my trips to Sosua and going 6 times in 3 years, I have been away and trying to keep up with these posts. As many guys don't enjoy clubs like Classico, I always enjoy going there and finding a chica for the night at a reasonable price. Is Classico still open? Are there any nightclubs to visit to pick up chicas?
What has changed over the past year or more? I'd love to get a synopsis from the regulars who I've learned so much from online here.

Guys are looking for numbers
Nobody goes to sosua looking for love. There are so many girls it is very hard to focus on one. As soon as you get one you like another shows up that you have to have. It is rare that guys even wife up for day any more. I have had no problem finding very attractive girls in Sosua. There is a huge amount of competition nd the girls bring their A game. Most of the guys I see in Sosua are bright guys out having some fun. Sure there are exceptions. Do not knock Sosua it serves a great purpose that is an awesome bargain. Where can you go for 500 dollars and bang 19 year old pretty girls for 30 bucks a pop.
I understand what you are saying but, for the whacked ass fuckers that are going to Sosua looking for love, the girl that the NJ cop wanted to get dow with was a cold *****. The fact that she cared about herself and took care of her body made her different than the other Sosua bitches. None of these new bitches hit the gym and make themselves look desirable. The chick the cop grabbed was totally different than your average Sosua puta. These herbs that go to Sosua now would be trying to marry her. You may discount her because you know her history but, the majority of the guys going to Sosua now are looking for love and they are whacked because they get no love in America.
