I've stayed there several time and the hotel is 100% girl friendly. That said, there is not much action in the general vicinity except you can get a massage with HE at the massage joint in the building across the street.

Just back in town, went to the Village. Everything is gone, no more pink lights, no more girls parading in mini-skirts.

No Soapie or Red Rope at HeTing as far as I know. At least, that's what I expect, I never let a girl do her "routine" but take charge. The apparatus for a soapie or any attachements on the ceiling for red rope aren't there, so I guess it's not part of the normal service. But hey. I had a quick look over them and the inventory still seemed the be inside everywhere, so it's just a temporary "refurbishment". Judy's at the begin of the street (oposate of the Kerry center) is still open. Didn't have the energy to go inside tho, the girl in G18 drained me completelly.

The rooms themselves are very clean and everything looks well maintained. The staff are friendly and very welcoming, despite our language difficulties. The manager whom assisted me was Lei Zhou. He's probably around 5'10" and wears glasses. Very polite and tries to make you feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend the place if you are going for something more relaxing than just a quick pop. With the way the whole thing is laid out, it's obvious they trying to really give you a relaxing, stress free experience.

Most likely the establishement works on offering one girl at a time.
Happens in many places, especially if they feel there is a newby in front of them. Makes life easier (for all of them!)
If you did not like her, they bring another one and this can go on for 3-4 times.
As you accepted her, that was sufficient for them.
Next time try to motion for another one.

We walked through a door in the rear wall of the downstairs lobby and up the stairs which were only lit by his flashlight (btw they all looked really rubbish). We ended up in the lobby and I was treated normally from there on (had to wait for my girl for 20mins but service again was OK)... pretty strange!

As debated here before I do no think LE is learning much from our reports.
They definetely know more than what we know.
All these places, btw, do not have clear signs where a foreigners can pick up they are MP's (99% of the cases), but the outdoor signs do tell a lot to chinese.
They might be disappointed there are a lot of talks about these establishements in a foreigner community (ISG) and that does not look nice to the eyes of the politicians running the country, since they have the perception we (foreigners = tourists) see Shangai (etc) just as a mongering location = a brothel city.
In a few words: no good for the image.
I was once summoned by a policeman in the outskirts of Dubai since i was taking a picture of a camel (with garbage around)
I could care the less for the garbage as my picture was of the head of the camel. None the less, the policeman threaten me to take my camera as I was taking picture "no good for the image of the country".
Something similar is on the mongering side.
Rather than not talking about lcoations, the best is to keep a low profile and not shouting it loud:) but still talk about.
So all will be happy:we get the info and the police will not get reports (from newspapers, tv reports, maybe very normal citizenships being asked by visiting friends) that everybody talks of Shangai as a mongering city.

Next time I'll try to ask for another girl and if they say they don't have anymore I'll either wait or just tell them I don't want a massage. I am not used to the way things are done in China (people trying to scam you etc.)

I think the main thing authorities fear is excess attention and the Maoming syndrome. Those of you who remember the days of Maoming lu recall it was the place that had some kind of debauchery going on ANY night of the week, and no matter what you were into, you could find or at least seek it there. Tongren lu tried but never quite succeeded in creating that kind of atmosphere. Great for us mongerers, but a nightmare for those concerned with the 'face' and image of the city.

B2, for example, was shut and shut hard because of its very public location and the sheer number of foreigners that would frequent it. It was shut so hard that I believe there's an English training center in its place now. I do believe if the establishments don't overstep their presence and of course pay their dues, they tend to be left alone and function within the greater community.

A village I've mongered through a few times has LE on patrol throughout the night, with their high beams and everything. The area is crawling with BBS's, KTV's, and it's very obvious, but it's in the interest of the LE to keep it contained there and ensure operations are running trouble free so as not to disturb "citizens". Surely, there must be financial rewards to the (I'm)proper authorities to ensure it all runs harmoniously. When Obama visited, or on similar occasions, they perform little fire drills in certain areas, and I think this year will be fairly lean for public mongering, considering the expo hype.

I'm personally reluctant to give too much detail on locations of spots simply because it would be a shame for them to attract too much attention too soon, and mobs of laowai would certainly change the dynamics.

On a sidenote but related, I once talked to a BBS girl regarding this issue, and at first she was like, "nope, nothing to worry about unless you're in pudong or jing'an", but then added that there are some places where the owner will set up customers in order for them to get fined, after which the local LE and the owner split the profits. Sounded a bit like an urban myth, but considering I was a bit stoned, naked inside a BBS, I thought it'd be better to just collect my things and leave. This was not helped by her urging me to stay. It was highly unusual considering usually BBS attendants tend to be happy to see you leave ASAP, and are not too chatty and friendly. As I was walking out of the place, I saw flashing lights RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DOOR! My heart stopped and all I could do was reach for my phone and keep walking. Another car passed by, and seemed to pay no attention whatsoever. It certainly put me off from mongering for a while.

yesterday visited g18 at around 19.00 hours. the sauna setups in shanghai are realy a treat to the ones i visited in other places: the rooms, the girls, the presentation, however i do miss the real sauna facilities: i do like to rest a bit and enjoy the relaxation before the action.

there was no outside lightening at golden 18, but there is a sign outside (unlit) over the doorway. as said before there's a bank with 3 atm booths right next to it. inside is a guy standing behind a small speech-type counter that's dressed more or less like an oldfashined doorman (long coat) that lead me upon entering to the elevator and pressed the 5th floor for me.

there's a shared dressing room, shower was not offered to me, get help getting undressed, put on a pair of sauna clothies and then you are brought through a door to a fishbowl area.

the hostess asured me the girls couldn't see the customer. somehow i doubt that, but anyway, a selection of 15 girls to pick. only one stood out for me and it was a good choise. off to the room: nice big room with a large shower area (soapie inflatable air-matrass apparatus available, aswell as a queening chair: a chair you can sit on and the girl can lie below you to do some rimming), a big round waterbed, mirror on the ceiling, big lcd tv with porn. nice touch: between the bed and the tv they've placed a fish-bowl type of thing in the floor, that way you can see the reflection of the tv in that fishbowl when you lie on your back and look into the ceiling mirror. no side mirrors like in heting, nor anything like red ropes for those interested.

on my way to tongren road, when i was passing the shanghai nr.1 restaurant, some guys came out (two guys holding one very very very drunk person) and brought him to a ready standing le car and nicelly put him in the seat next to the driver. the 2 escorts went into the back seat. the car then drove in the direction of wulumuqi road and took a right turn... thinking about my experience the day before, i walked a bit back and looked around the corner and lo-and-behold... the drunk "guest" was dropped off, with his escorts, at g18... i love this country ;-)



today i went to heting again at 19.00 hour. the place was packed full with punters, altho there was only one car parked outside. i was given a 5-person room because all the 2-, 3- and 4-person rooms were all taken.

the square bath in the shower area does have bubbles by the way. still what i've seen from shanghai sauna's so far the sauna areas are a bit underdone.

i wanted a 3-some, so i picked number 156 again (made a phone reservation) and told her to make a selection of a 2nd girl. hint: never do that, better yet, just forget about 3-somes all thogether. it is some fun, but also a turn-off, for me at least, because the intimacy i like to create just doesn't work. got 3 pops: bbbj cim and one in each girl.

Hey Laowei. Thanks for the great reports. I want to say 2 things about your most recent.

1. The girls at G18 CAN see you through the fishbowl. When I was last there, I selected my choice, and the other girls all started giggling. When I asked why, she told me that she was the smallest girl there and I'm over 6'2". (I chose her for the great rack and smile. Not her small stature).

Went to (the New) Manhatten at 23. 30 hour yesterday. I was into some non-Chinese girl for a change. The place was full. A cover band was playing, loud. The girl-guy ratio was about 4:1 and as far as I could see most of the girls were working girls. I entered, ordered a coca cola (40 rmb) and went to the side to look at the crowd. When you come in you will see flocks of girls standing at the sides, don't hestitate to walk around and have a good look at them.

I could have seen the disaster comming, but somehow was clouded, she was small, cute, nice face, nice body. And cold as a rock. No kissing, no DATY, no BBJ nor CBJ. The whole experience left me with a bad taste and for the time being I won't be interested in Vietnamese girls again. But I am aware that it's my own fault: lessons learned, move on.

Today my last day in Shanghai, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't a wasted night with a bad experience. I'm always in for an experiment, but never on the last night. So I made a phone reservation at G18 for number 33 for 23. 00 hour. I made the call in the afternoon, after 13. 00 hour. Tip: There's two phone numbers on the Namecard of G18. The 1st number is answered by someone who doesn't speak english, the 2nd number is answered by someone who does. So if you're not speaking Chinese and want to call a place and have a namecard with more numbers, don't hestitate to call the other numbers aswell to see if they're picked up by someone who can speak english.

The Lobby of G18 was lit this time (the outside neon was still unlit) and I was swiftly sent upstairs. At the reception I told the clerc I wanted lady number 33 and they nodded. 2 other punters were undressing the dressing area and 2 other were dressing. Undressed, sauna pj's on and brought to the fishbowl area: curtain was closed and number 33 was standing ready for me (next to the hostess)

We went into a different room this time: again with waterbed, shower area with soapie matress, ceiling mirror, LCD TV with porn, but now with side mirrors. When leaving I checked a few other rooms and they're all slightly different, however, I nowhere saw Red Rope attachements (again for those interested)

Number 33 is, for me at least, a very very good provider. A bit kinky, lots and lots of DFK, BBBJ CIM and best of all: She deep throats. Thanks to the previous night I was able to squeeze out 6 pops this time around.
