Most of the attention has been on the Punta Cana and growing Samana area, but areas from Las Terrenas to POP are a growing target, which may increase when those crew ships expose other folks to a different part of the DR. Also higher airplane prices to the DR may begin to affect some mongers' ability to go back and forth to Sosua as frequent from the USA.

Any time there is a fight, accident or any disturbance on the strip, the dominicans come running to see what is happening. There could be a shootout going on in El Flow and the dominicans will run straight into the bullets to see what is going on. I've personally seen a bunch of fights on the strip and the domincians surround the combatants like it was elementary school and there is a throw down by the jungle gym! LOL!

On may last trip a fight broke out all locals. The clubs all emptied to see the fight. I was surprised because I was heading in the opposite direction very fast.

Why in hell would he make something like that up?

Yes it is true that Dominicans will all run to see a fight or a dead body splattered all over the road but this was not a fight, it was domestic abuse and Dominicans as well as all of the other latin american countries believe that issues with a man and his women are none of their business. I have witnessed a similar situation and tried to intervene and I was pulled back by the woman's two best friends, ridiculous as it seems that is the way it is down there, anybody that has spent time with the locals in their neighborhoods knows this.

And as much as we might like to jump in and help the chica, anyone who did would probably end up worse for the wear or in jail and next day, she'd still be with 'her man' black eye and a smile on her face. There's a reason most law enforcement will tell you domestic violence cases are the worst ones; the victim is just as likely to jump in to protect the abuser, then rarely will testify against him.

I apologize for hurting your feelings Manizales. However, I don't remember calling Chris a liar or saying what he saw wasnt true. I said it was hard to believe because every single disturbance I have ever seen on the strip, from fist fights, gun play, hell, even basic arguements, there is always a large crowd.

I agree, Chris is a valuable member and he posts incredible, informative, information that all of us benefit from. Given that, I still believe this forum was designed for EVERYONE to share their experiences, even if they counter long standing members. In fact, I think the board benefits from people who can give different perspectives! Don't you agree?

Before the "flame war" start I want to thank "BOTH" Manizales911 and Bravo. And Big Ups to my brother SavePro 321. They reported that's so far so good" nothing "out of the ordinary" no gringos or brothers going to jail. We are all on "FULL ALERT" But its being reported, other than "motoconchos" drivers, getting hauled off for unregistered motos and no helmets, its " business as usual" hopefully its stays that way. I know, I know, BB discussions / questions belong to the Puerto Plata thread, however, I could not resist the title and my question does apply to Sosua. Initially, I was going to follow the newbie pilgrimage route via BB, FOD and eventually Sosua. However, after reading many of the reports from numerous DR threads, I am still not clear on why bother going to BB, FOD when Sosua offers Passions, CMP and street / beach sweetmeats with a wider variety of chicas. I booked a week at NG which also has girls stationed there, and I guess if I want to check out the spinners at FOD, as per most recent report, it does not seem that far away. What exactly does BB, FOD offer that a room at a Sosua hotel with trips to places I mentioned does not? Am I missing something?

Plus BB has one stop shopping for all your needs. With that said, I'm noticing a lot of newbies who go straight for the deep end. Maybe its part of the new world that people don't take baby strps anymore, they come out the womb running.

My first trip was to BB, and I was a wide-eyed puppy. To each his own, but some newbies to the DR are also seasoned mongers from Brazil, SEA etc. I was fresh and needed that break in that BB offered.

You can visit BB, FOD, and any others while you stay in Sosua.

Sosua is the place to be. I wouldn't depend on NG for your choices. NG doesn't always have a bunch of girls hanging there. It's hit or miss.

However, in the late afternoon around 5, girls start to pile into Rumbas, then later on at night it gets crazy crowded with chicas all over the place. If you were at BB or FOD your choices are limited to whats there. I spent 2 days at BB's in Jan 2012. I didn't touch any of the girls there. I ended up finding my own girls elsewhere and bringing them there. The girls looked bored and in some cases very plain. They didn't look like the stunners you see in the website. I stopped by FOD this past April. I wasnt impressed with the ones that were there either. But they sure looked nice on the website. Probably a whole new set of women in the day?

Sosua, has all of the talent you'll ever need. IMO. Stay in Sosua, and take day trips to BB & FOD and see what they have to offer.

i know a few guys (myself included in the dr) that thought a girls they banged was 18, she said she was and found out later she was 16 and had a friend's i'd. was told by another local monger to stay away. doh. approached her the following night and jokingly asked for the i'd and noticed the picture was not of her.

Good to see conversation about being carefull with the "16yrs. Olds. Doing it since their age 14." Unfortuanly when I write about it I get censored. How to figure. Anyway, I've just spoken to SD lawyer about; 'How to be careful with yrs. Olds and separatly, pot. The two big concerns on everyone's mind. If you will print the info I'll write it.
