Truthfully, I'm more of an early-riser than a night owl. Chances are, you'll see me jogging along Beach Road at the same time as you are stumbling out of a disco.
In that case I suggest you choose your hotel carefully as a lot of them are in noisy 'night owl' areas.
One of the hotels on Second Road Soi 13 would be a good choice. Or Second Road Soi 10 towards Beach Road (not too close to Second Road because there are beer bars there) but they are more expensive.
See the hotel thread for more info.
I've been reading this forum for the last few months, and I'm honestly impressed with the depth of information contained within this one forum.
After reading all of these forums, I still have a few questions.
1. In your opinion, what's the best BJ bar in Pattaya and why?
2. Where is the best place to relax and people watch during the daytime hours near WS?
3. What do most mongers do during the daytime?
4. What's the single piece of advice you would offer to a new monger coming to Pattaya for the first time? (try to limit this answer to a sentence or two. I know there's a ton of advice on this forum, but I'm hoping for experts single best piece).
I'll be in Pattaya on Jan. 29th. For a week. If anybody gets bored and wants a wingman, I'll be available to stumble from bar to bar in search of the best parts of life.
Thanks again to the members who've provided in-depth reports about pricing, locations, and experiences.
Re 1: Bliss Lounge on Third Road comes to mind but actually there is no best BJ bar IMHO. You just have to be lucky to get / choose the right girl who has some good skills. But generally speaking you won't get the BJ of the century in these places. They just go up and down your tool until you finish.
Re 2: Starbucks at the corner of Beach Road and Soi 13/1. And there are some terraces in front of Mike Shopping Mall, Thip Plaza and Central Festival.
Re 3: Nothing. Puke (in case of a hangover). Fuck their LT 'girl friend'. Read ISG to answer stupid questions from newbies (don't take that last one seriously).
Re 4: If you meet a nice girl who is to your liking then grab her. Don't think 'there must be a better one' or 'there must be a prettier one'. Before you know it you have spent the whole night looking for the 'perfect girl' and end up with nothing.

If only that does not include being the balcony (assisted) jumpers. Be wise & safe.

GoGos
Thanks for the insights and
There are like 60 go-go's on walking street, as far as I've heard. I think it would be cool to check out around half of those. Ambitious?
This forum has some great stories; I can't wait to add my own.
No, do a quick walk around inside before sitting down and that should reduce the list by 75%.

A funny question
I'm getting some good advice. I'll definitely make sure to get any big fake breasted women from the go-go's so I'm not surprised later.
I have a question. I've read contradicting reports on the location of a go-go where you can buy ping-pong balls that are worth baht to the girls. Is that really a place? If so, how much do the ping-pong balls cost? And finally, is it really as much fun as it sounds to throw them all over the place?
On a more serious note, how far is it from Walking Street to Soi 6 if you are walking? How long does it usually take to walk?
If I take a Baht Bus, what are landmarks I should look for to get off at Soi 6? I'll be staying at a hotel near Walking Street.
I wish when they get off the SongThaw knowing full well it is 10 baht and the damn songthaw is stopped and holding up traffic that Indians do not bargain the fare.
I like to bargain too but let's put it in perspective sometimes.
Sorry but you got it wrong. The real rate is 5 baht, that's what the Thai's pay. 10 baht is the falang rate. I have been known to be somewhat annoyed when I have to pay more than a Thai / Cambodian / Filipino / Indonesian for the same service / merchandise.

Soi MK go-go's
Went to Crystal and there is no less than three perfect 9's. One of them is number 300 I think, almost could not tell the Asian traits, she looked almost Latin, thin and great breast. In Queens a couple are doable, one has the best ass seen in years. Got the number of another short haired that was hanging out, but couldn't contact her yet. It's much more money with these girls but it may be needed, there is really no alternative. I have not taken this step yet.

30 minute walk from Walking Street to Soi 6 is my guess. If you take the baht bus you look for the street sign on the left that says Soi 6/1 then ring the bell. The next street is Soi 6. If you see McDonald's on the left you have gone too far.

I steer clear of the traditional blowjob bars. I don't find the girls attractive, and the business model is too clinical for me. I realize "go in, get off, and get going" aspect is part of the attraction for many guys. Just not my cup of tea. If I'm in the mood for a blowjob, I head for Soi 6. There are enough girls there I can usually find one I think is cute. I have the option of going straight upstairs, or sitting down for a drink and letting the girl "convince" me we should get down to business. I find the short time rooms on Soi 6 more comfortable than the spartan digs at the blowjob bars. And I can take a shower before and after, which I prefer. The only downside to getting my hummer on Soi 6 is that it's a few hundred baht more expensive than the blowjob bars. That's no big deal for me, but if you're a Cheap Charlie that may be a deal breaker.
Walking Street is not my favorite place to hang out during the day. I much prefer to kill time in the central part of Pattaya, at one of the many places along Soi Buakaow. But if I have to pick a place to chill out "near" Walking Street, I'd recommend the Pattaya Beer Garden.
With respect to whiling away the daylight hours, as the Thais like to say "up to you. " Seriously. No matter what you like to do on holiday you can probably do it in Pattaya (or nearby). I'm not one those ultra-active, wildly-adventurous guys who are always uploading GoPro videos to YouTube. So I'll leave it to others to weigh in on "extreme" leisure time activities. I prefer to soak up Pattaya's laid back beach vibe. Toward that end I recommend spending at least one afternoon on the sand under an umbrella. I also like the pub scene, especially the Butcher's Arms and the Swan. They have great breakfasts, comfortable dining rooms and free wi-fi so I can get a little work done. If you like to shop, especially for electronic gadgets, visit the legendary Tukcom, which is very close to Walking Street. Before you start your evening on the town, watch the sun set over the water from the rooftop bar at the Baraquda Hotel.
Finally, keep in mind that Pattaya's naughty boy scene is very different to what you are used to at home. It's orders of magnitude bigger and some parts of it (Soi 6 and the "hands on" go go clubs on Walking Street) are very much "in your face. " Almost everybody is a little overwhelmed at first. My single piece of advice is to relax, get outside your head and do as much as you feel comfortable with. Reading the traffic here is very helpful, but some guys start to think the "have" to do X, why and Z. Not so. It's your holiday. Do what you want to do.

I wish when they buy Thai T-shirts 3 for 99 baht do not bargain 4 for 99 baht in such a serious manner.
And especially bargaining for pussy not for yourself but for a group at 500 baht.
I like to bargain too but let's put it in perspective sometimes.
To Littlebigman.

It has been years now that the Thais are paying 10 baht. Years! When I first came here I pay 5 baht yes and like a Thai I'm paying 10 baht. Yes I believe there are circumstances where the driver (good ones) that except 5 baht like from old Thai ladies, handicap, etc..
In all the years I have lived here only once a driver ask me for more because he figure out I was a farang. I just looked at him and gave him the 10 baht and told him in Thai, thank you, and walked away.
... I have a question. I've read contradicting reports on the location of a go-go where you can buy ping-pong balls that are worth baht to the girls. Is that really a place? If so, how much do the ping-pong balls cost? And finally, is it really as much fun as it sounds to throw them all over the place? ...
It works like this: At most of the Go-go bars there are female hostesses walking around the bar carrying plastic buckets of ping pong balls and a paddle with a written notice on both sides about the price of the ping pong balls and what you do with them. They'll come up to you and show you the notice and bucket asking if you want to do it.
Suckers can buy a a few or usually a whole bucket of 50 balls for 1000 baht; that's 20 baht / ball. The girls will see this, form a group in front of you, start screaming and crying yaaaaay! And beckoning for you to throw the balls their way. You can throw a few at a time or just dump the whole bucket out and watch them scramble for the balls which are worth 20 baht apiece to them. The spectacle is over within seconds -- 1000 baht evaporates almost instantly -- as the girls are very quick and all the hostesses participate too.
If you are sitting downstairs in Baccara and look up to the stage upstairs you'll see girls wearing no panties squatting down on the glass floor to gather up as many balls as possible while showing the customers below their gaping naked pussies spread wide. Yes it's fun to watch but hardly worth the price of the entertainment unless you are the type who likes to literally throw his money away. Oh yeah, and did I mention that the girls will scramble for you but don't expect them to respect you for making fools of them for 20 baht. They would much rather you just hand them the cash as a tip.
