"Sosua has changed for the worst as these chicas know there value now."
The same chic I was baggin for free in 2006 is walking around D'Latin now like she is a star. I can't blame her because its the weekend millionaires in Sosua now that give her that premium value. Guys have basically taken a lot of these low budget hoes and elevated them to the status of queens. And that's not even counting all the Western Union novios sending them money so they won't have to sell pussy anymore, LOL.
I have to disagree bro. I've only seen one chica still tricking in Sosua since I started going in 2007, and she is looking bad. Back then most of the chicas came from the surrounding areas like Puerto Plata, Montellano, La Union and Santiago. Those girl have retired from the game and now the SD girls have taken over.
Also these new hardcore girls arent getting WU like the chicas before that offerd GFE. Who is going to WU a girl who fucks for 59 minutes and beats you back to the bar. The long term game plan is no longer in play. Quick fast money is the play now so WU is not as active as before.
The weekend warriors have always been coming to Sosua. The problem is the ex Brazil sport fuckers have brought their short time game to Sosua and the girls have made the transition. GFE is now out. TLN is now out. Romantic dates are out. WU is out. Its what the mongers have created.
What Sosua had over brazil was the Price, It was cheap. Now Sosua is getting expensive. JetBlue Prices are outrages. They want almost $800 to go to POP. I Remember in 2010, 2011 it was like $300-$400 Tops. Now theres even talk of increasing the tourist card from $10 to now $30 entry fee.
http://www.sosuanews.com/index.php?id=3361&article=1
And most of these chicas are asking for 3000-4000 pesos. For That price I can get me a dime brazilian chick from the 4x4 terma's that would fuck me silly and drain my balls, begging for more semen. Sosua has changed for the worst as these chicas know there value now.
I really hope they crack down on prostitution like the new mayor is stating so business like the hotels, restaurants, etc. And the chicas will starve so it will bring the Dominican government back to reality and prices will drop when no more gringos go to Sosua anymore.
Your numbers aren't accurate. Yes, the chicas in Sosua can and do ask for anything they think some fool might pay. But the short-term price is still generally 1500 pesos ($36.50) and overnight 3000 pesos ($73). OTOH, 4X4, which is the cheapest of the Level 1 Rio termas is well over $100 for a 40-minute season. Monte Carlo, Solarium, and 65 are close to $200.
Yes, Sosua prices have gone up, but prices in Rio have gone up much more (for Hotels, flights, Garotas, food, etc).
Rio is a fantastic place, arguably the best in the World. But a week there will easily cost the typical monger 3 times as much as a week in Sosua.

"They will not starve while there are generous-hearted ex-pats to slip them the odd 500 or 1000." This sounds much more realistic for Sosua.
Prices are usually higher in any tourist trap area, and they often are rationalized by tourists who think about the value of something in their home country, as opposed to the local economy they are visiting, or in other cases. - the tourists just don't mind paying a premium. From Passions to the Oxygen resort, etc. Some also have no choice but to pay a premium for whatever reason.
When one is able to get out of the tourist economy and into the local economy, they sometimes get a better sense of the "informed value" and become a more educated consumer.
Lastly, quantity does not equal quality or even guarantee more of it. However, everyone has different tastes so there is always something available for everyone.

Its point and click with no hassle of learning a languages, dealing with touts, or trouncing around in 3rd world streets.
There is no think in rationalized value. It is an actual economic value when compared to what they spend at home.

Back then the standard was 500 pesos ST/ 1000 toda la noche. Exchange was 15 DOP to the dollar so about $33. Then as now if you got into the campo well away from tourist areas and spoke some spanish less than half that would do the trick. As always living there and the prospect of a repeat relationship always lowers prices. Also prices always sticky to round numbers in pesos. It was 1000 for a long time until it shifted to 1500 DOP.
The quality of service is not directly related to price. Generally chicas don't respect guys for being real easy with money. It's sorta a prey signal that switches on their predatory instincts. Being kind or generous with a chica who deserves it is not the same as being seen as foolish with money.
i really hope they crack down on prostitution like the new mayor is stating so business like the hotels, restaurants, etc. and the chicas will starve so it will bring the dominican government back to reality and prices will drop when no more gringos go to sosua anymore.
sounds like you are hurting too in the current economic climate if you are hoping for people worse off than yourself to starve. (your theory, as i recall from a previous post, is that the vast majority of chicas in sosua work primarily to support local boyfriends and drug habits, not for food.)
why don't americans refuse to pay outrageous prices for fuel, so that the airlines will starve and ultimately opec and the oil majors will be forced back to reality and prices will drop when no more americans travel by air?
the fact of the matter is that the world economy is interdependent. the [CodeWord131], wet wipes, and baby food formulas that these chicas buy for their children are expensive and are made by us or multinational companies like proctor and gamble, kimberly clark, heinz, colgate palmolive, and nestle.
why don't dominicans refuse to buy these products so that these companies will starve and be forced back to reality? they can use old-style cloth [CodeWord131] and wash them by hand, breast feed, make purees from mangoes and lechosa, brush their teeth with baking powder and a piece of rag, and so on. in fact why don't americans do the same thing?
my view is that the range of prices that foreign men are prepared to pay for sex with dominicanas is always going to be related in some manner to the cost of living in the dr. perhaps a sex session is equal to the cost of a night in a hotel? or half a night? or two large cans of baby formula, or the cost of a bottle of cough medicine? what is fair exchange?
but also remember, as mr. enternational has pointed out, that there are plenty of better class dominican chicas willing to pay for a cabana and have sex for free just for the honor of bedding a gringo. perhaps if p4p is too high, one needs to look at cheaper alternatives.

Prices in Sosua
Beginning of the year 2013, price for short term was 1000-1500 pesos.
For the whole night, most of the girls agree for 2000 pesos. That's what you pay if you bargain a bit. And if you speak Spanish.
400 pesos was the price for a HJ, so with the 300 pesos for half an hour, it means 700 pesos.
There is a shop across the street from Rockys. The price is very good less then 10 bucks and he does a good job. Plus you can get a good pedicure and manicure as well. There is a massage parlor next door if you are in the mood. The shop is owned by two sisters in their 30s. Both are attractive and the only women in Sosua not selling their pussy. However there are girls getting their hair done all day. The owners were a lot a fun to flirt with. It is next door to Sosua suites.
Thanks OldKool, much appreciated! Is that massage place the orange building with all the girls outside? Is it any good?
Never tried any shacks in Sosua before

Wise post as ever from Marc Anthony. Volpone knows the score too.
Yes, it is interesting if you are out and about at 6:30 or 7:30 in the morning to see how many people are walking to work along the highway while it is still relatively cool.
Have been in Sosua recently and almost every day in the street I see chicas who are just the picture of 20-year-old health and beauty, with long shiny hair, smooth skin, perfectly even white teeth, athletic bodies, and, like all the girls, a gorgeous smile. I don't know why people don't write more about these things instead of keeping spreadsheets of what percentage of girls will fuck for less than 1000 pesos. Who cares? And who really cares about keeping prices low for future sex tourists? I call bs on this. (If it really worked, why don't people do something really useful like refusing to pay more than $3 per gallon for gasoline in the US?). All of these women are potentially available to men with nothing more than a decent income.
Every day I see chicas who have been domesticated and are in longer term relationships driving in cars, eating in restaurants, shopping in the supermarket with gringos, yet all we hear about is how nothing is available except hard core short term sex.
Actually everything is available, but what you see will depend on what you are looking for.
Sosua has it's little subculture of sextourism but the really mind blowing thing about the DR culturally is that when you get outside the tourist area bubble the whole society has a startlingly player friendly attitude. I don't mean the whole country is like Pedro Clisante in the evening. I mean even in little towns a hundred miles from Sosua middle aged gringos can flirt with hot 19 yr old shop counter chicas or chicas at bus stops and they flirt back. They don't flirt back as a humorous crazy thing to do, they flirt back as in here's their phone number to text so we can hook up after work.
Several times traveling in guaguas outside tourist areas hot chicas moved next to me approaching a stop and gave me a quick look that somehow communicated. Pretend to be my novio. OK? I put my arm around them and they molded to my body. At the stop some young guys packed in. After they got off, the chica smiled, said gracias, and moved over a bit. Simple little story. Just avoiding getting groped in a crowded guagua. The last time that happened I kept up enough of a conversation I got her to meet me later and ended up spending several nights with her. No negotiating. I gave her some small presents. When I gave her cash I always had to insist she take it when she tried to hand it back and specifiy it was for some thing we had talked about that she really needed so it didn't seem like a payment but a gift from a novio. You can cynically say that's just a pretense but it's a pretty universal thing to dress up naked economic transactions in social and courtship rituals. Most of the chicas I'm talking about would be insulted and act accordingly if a guy just blatantly offered them money for sex. Most would be very much happier if you took them to eat, bought them little gifts and did no more than kiss them on the first date. Most would go straight to your room and fuck like bunnies on the second date without ever discussing money. But expect a nice regalo. I think that's mainstream culturally normal typical except those from fairly well off families (say the bottom 60 or 70%).
Outside tourist areas it's not that chicas are especially interested in gringos, they would be just as interested in any male who seemed prosperous enough. Being an extranjero though is enough of a badge of prosperity. It's like just being who you obviously are is similar to driving around in a new BMW in richer countries. The broader culture in the DR is much more accepting of younger chica older guy hook-ups as a natural expected thing that has obvious reciprocal benefits.

Marrying a Dominicana
To those guys who go to the DR and think they will marry a young and beautiful Dominicana uncorrupted by western values think again. Take them out of the DR and it won't take long to adapt to your culture and values. You then have an under-educated bimbo who will serve as a trophy wife at the janitors reunion. It seem amusing to see them off to the hair dressers or nail salon as a distraction but it it is really an obsession. You are an ATM machine that fuels a lifestyle they could not otherwise have. Most Dominican men are dumb and lazy. The women are not much different. If you marry one make sure you are subscribed to the cable channel that has spanish novellas because that is where they take their intellectual enrichment from.
It all seems exotic and exciting to be a 50 yr old guy with a 20 yr old wife. Wait until you are married and you are consistently an hour late as she does hair, nails and changes clothes. In 5 yrs with all the plantins they eat she will gain weight quickly. If she has a kid and you take him / her out after age 10 you will have a lazy dumb fuckup to support. Why do I sound so negative. I did exactly that. The son is a 21 yr. Old deadbeat with an IQ in the 80's, she was petit when I got married she had the face of an angel and a body made for sin. Now it is an ok face and the body of a beer keg. After 10 years she still speaks pigeon english. Evening are spent in front of the TV watching brain numbing novellas. She is great at spending money but has no idea how to earn it.
Human nature is the same everywhere. She is selling her youth and you your wealth; it is just you don't know it. You won't be supporting only her. There will be weekly calls asking for money. My wife's mother just got a computer and the skype rings every half hour. Amazing how quickly they can adapt to new technology. You are living in cognitive dissonance if you believe you are getting a princess on a budget. In reality you are buying an American woman who is intellectually and economically inferior and starting from a lower level. Everybody says that it will be different for them. Trust me it won't be. I have to escape to my office to hit a book for intellectual stimulation. I won't find it with her and her son.
Do yourself a favor. Visit the DR and screw your brains out. Don't fall in love or buy into the kool aid that Dominican women are so much superior to American women. Life's too short. When you feel sorry for yourself that you are alone and unloved, and even if you aren't intellectual equals, you at least have someone to keep the bed warm at night. If you want a warm bed get a dog. Don't sell your freedom just to have another body in your house. There is nothing more lonely than being in a bad marriage. If you are a guy of 50, you are no doubt surrounded by friends who are dying and pussy whipped living in non fulfilling marriages. Sex satisfies your physical side but not your spiritual development. Satisfy your sexual side and ignore your spiritual development and you will quickly learn how unsatisfying life is.

Second, what spiritual development are you speaking of? That is a whole new can of worms and I would be interested to hear you out but the site administrator is hell bent on keeping us "straight". LOL.

Guys are going to pay what they are going to pay. More power to you all, LOL.
When I walk up into D'Latin and see chicas that spend money on cat suits, fake hair and Samsung Galaxy 4s and Iphones (while I'm rocking an Alcatel!) , that is enough economics for me. Same as me exchanging my money at Western Union and seeing the line of chicas collecting from the various novios.
For me, it's not about the exchange rate, geographical arbitrage, the price of pampers, who is president in the DR, who won what betting at the cock fight, the price of braces, what a strip club cost in Atlanta, etc.
My policy in 2013 is to not go higher than 1,000 pesos. Like someone else said, it's not about what they ask but what you pay. It's a free market, open to complete negotiation.
If they need a new Blackberry, they can find some other dude who is willing to pay more, and I may or may not catch them on the rebound. I'll be mr. tacaņo with the putas, but I won't be mr. gringo pendejo. On the other hand, I'm more than willing to buy a chica lunch that has a regular job in a hotel or give a generous tip to those in a restaurant. I'm generous when I see someone working hard and trying to make a decent way for themselves.

Great post
Decided to visit Sosua over the weekend and I was lucky to meet a great girl on the beach there, who I think I am going to marry!
She speaks excellent English.
She is from Santo Domingo and had only been in Sosua 2 days.
She says she loves me.
She never had a gringo boyfriend before.
So for all those Sosua bashers out there, you CAN find true love there!
She was a bit shy having her photo taken.
It seems like some (if not most) are missing the great "subtle" humor in your post.

I got a friend that met a chica in STI, who had a passport. He felt like he stroke gold because he found a chica that could come visit him in the USA, so he would have all the creature comforts of home with some fresh Dominican pussy. She was supposed to stay for a month, but he told me he had to get rid of her after only 10 days because he got bored with her. In the DR is one thing, but back home where he wasn't drunk all the time and doing normal stuff it didn't work. Now this was just him, but it could be different for other guys.
I've heard about several of the hardcore Sosua putas that were taken back to the USA by gringos. If I was inclined to import a DR chica, it wouldn't be a puta from Sosua. With all the beauty all over the island, why bring home a puta?
I agree about leaving them in their element. Your leverage is in the DR, and your options are much greater if you want some pussy on the side. And marriage ... why?
