The terma business is lucrative, and getting involved in cocaine distribution in zona sul, particularly in the areas where Solarium, Centaurus, and Monte Carlo are located, is both dangerous and bad for business. The majority of the terma business comes from Brazilian businessmen who generally don't do a lot of blow.
However, when a gringo (or even a local) asks for blow, the girls and the wait staff will happily take your money and come back with a bag of baby milk formula, with the caveat that they can only deliver it in one of the rooms, obligating the buyer to a session with the girl. While the buyer is waiting in the room for the girl, the girl will change her clothes and then rub lidocaine / zylocaine on her tits. When she gets the room, she'll let the buyer have his line (generally taken off the girl's body somewhere) and then stick her tits in they guys face which will usually get sucked / licked. The resultant numbing of the guy's mouth will make him believe he's just had cocaine despite having snorted baby formula.
This scam occurs in Centaurus and Solarium; I don't know about Monte Carlo or 4 x4. Occasionally, you'll find a girl who has blow in her top. If she's up for using herself, then it's likely coke. As a general rule, if you want coke while in a termas, you're better off bringing your own. They don't get too fussed about what goes on the rooms as long as the girl's aren't hurt in any way.
In 4 x4 a lot of the girls do smoke a lot of weed, but they always put a towel under the door to prevent the smoke from drifting into the corridor.

Re blow I don't do it so I wouldn't know but have never been offered it there. Have been offered BBFS plenty of time for a tip or just given which is a much more powerful drug.

IMHO, and from my experience, for bars you will need to be fluent in Portuguese because of the noise. It won't be practical to keep using your translator app in there. Bars are too expensive for most locals anyway so you won't see girls just working in them. In places where girls speak good english and go out a lot (like ipanema), well, they are usually well-to-do and arent working girls.
There's lots of great fun to be had in Brazil. No need to go off the beaten path here, just stick to the tried and true. The best gems are placed exactly where they think you'll be looking.

IMHO is just the contrary. Mabs is "better" if you look for fuglies and "easier" if you want get ripped-off. Monger1988 asked for "more of the higher end type of semi pros, good quality but not to expensive". The Mabs girls are mostly low-end, hardcores, low quality and way too expensive.
Furthermore, the more you go off the beaten track the greater are the chances of finding the best gems, which definitely are not to be found where you think you'll be looking.

I may have just had some incredible and unusual luck (esp w / that one girl from Mabs). Ok. I do know one thing though. My Portuguese is not strong enough to support me outside of the copa / ipanema area. Outside of those areas is surrounded by favelas that can be pretty dangerous if you are armed with only a smartphone translator app. Even niteroi can be dangerous if you are not escorted, although maybe not too terrible during the afternoon by the fish market. And as much as I want to try a terma in niteroi (don't ask me why, I don't know why I'm curious either), I never did, because the standards are not the same as in the termas of copa, so why bother? The girls of quattro and monte carlo were gorgeous and engaging enough to keep my d.ick rock hard the whole time. . and dig this, I never even got around to centaurus!
The closest I ever came to doing what you suggested, is I walked into a lower end terma off of copa, closer to leme, it smelled like a sewer as I walked up the stairs, there were 3 ugly girls in there, no other customers, and this was on a Friday night. I said "forget it" and walked right out.

Thanks[/QUOTE]If you're looking for higher end, try Melt in Leblon after 11 or Mirroir on the Lagoon. Also the Shenanigans and the Blue Agave, both in Ipanema, have a few free lance girls kicking around from time to time, but quality can vary.
Mabs runs the gamut. You can find some gems, and also women who will haunt your dreams. The girls at Barbarellas are generally quite hot, but the price point is a bit higher (60 to get in, plus a 60 exit fee with girls usually settling for a price in the 300-400 BRL range regardless of what level they originally ask). At about 3, a lot of the Barbarella girls who either had no luck or are leaving motels head over to Mabs to there is an interesting late night run. There's also a place on the corner of Nossa senhora de copacanaba and Rua Duvivier that starts with a "K". Still no idea what it's called. It's hit and miss, but as it's fully indoors and has girls dancing so can feel a little more like a conventional club, except you're unlikely to go home alone unless you choose to do so.

The reason why the quality is so bad is because in my opinion there are not to many mongering tourist that visit Brazil like they were in the late 90's, early 2000's-2009 when help was around. So when there is hardly any work with few tourist, you will only get the really hardcore girls to come out. Brazil is very expensive right now for a 3rd World Country. I was there 3 weeks ago and the prices of food, lodging, etc. I felt like I was in Europe, Europe is expensive but at least your getting 1st world amenities.
I am surprise nobody has open a help like club in Copacabana. But we still have a long way to go. I still don't know why plane tickets cost almost $2,000 for a economy class when the Price of Gas and Oil is at the lowest levels.
