Re: Marriott or Waterfront?
Iīve done a couple of searches and read back 20 pages but still canīt decide between the Waterfront and Marriott. Want a decent gym and internet in the room as well as no girl in room problem or extra charge. Can anyone give me some advice?
I stayed at the Cebu City Waterfront (Lahug) a few months ago. Rooms were OK, but not great. They *did* have internet access, but you had to ask for it since it was not available in all rooms. Also had a good travel agent onsite that will book snorkeling trips, Bohol trips, and the like. It was moderately girl-friendly, but you should note that there is no way to take the girl in without her being seen by the staff. In Manila (Makati Shangrila, Peninsula, Dusit, and kind-of in the Mandarin Oriental), you can walk upstairs to the second floor and get on the elevator without being seen at all. But at the Waterfront, you are forbidden from getting on the elevators on the second floor, and security enforces it.
Is the Marriot in a similar location to the Waterfront? Can I get girls in without them being seen? How does the price compare? My consolidator can get the Waterfront for $93/night (breakfast and taxes included) but does not list the Marriot.
