Hope the pleasure to perpare is almost as fun, as to enjoy it then.

Renting a boat sounds like a nice idea. If I would already have my sailor's patent I would offer you my services as captain

Personaly I would then combine it with an excursion to a smaller, inhabbited island for "bbq and nude beach party" with some nice girls. Heard once about some smaller, nice island in the area of Pattaya where you could do such a thing.

Just also an idea in the area of "non- sex" but certainly memorizable:

If you stay in Bangkok, reserve a table for the Sky Restaurant (Baiyoke II Tower on the 79th floor).

Awfull expensive restaurant. For Thailand. Still very reasonable for quality, exclusivity and location compared to European/US prices of comparable restaurants (approx. 150. 250 USD/person. Or open end, depending on your budget).

Imagine to have dinner outside, on the 79th floor of the highest tower in Bangkok, with luxury food, clear fresh air (very rare in Bangkok) and a stunning sight over the city. Afterwards you can have exclusive fun on the bar/disco on top (even higher, as the Sky Restaurant).

JUST NICE!

Also a great chance to take vacation pictures and have some stories for back home. Just in case it's needed.

But don't forget the other kind of fun.

Appreciate also your telling me to focus on BKK (rather than Pattaya). Any specific ideas for bang up night and unique night in BKK? Has anyone tried G-clubs? Anything special we could do there?

I'm presently thinking about two nights - one as a private party on boat or large hotel suite, and another perhaps at a G-club or renting out a gogo just for ourselves (and perhaps a few of you guys, if you'd be interested in joining). Still just kicking all this around, so appreciate and/all creative ideas.

PS - not meaning to offend anyone by "flaunting" our budget. We simply would like to know about some "high-roller" options. Frankly I also very much enjoy Thailand's many cheaper options, and do those 95%+ of the time. Anyway, no offense intended to anyone - I do realize this is a lot of money to spend on a night of fun in Thailand, but for perspective keep in mind that it's a drop in the bucket compared to a first class plane ticket (nearly $20k USD each person) from USA to Thailand.[/QUOTE]

I share 1Ball's amazement. I purchased my first house -- a brand new 3 bedroom bungalow -- for sustantially less than $20K in 1969. So now I suppose that kind of dough can be pissed away in a few hours for an airline ticket.

A simple Expedia search will confirm ($15k to $20k from East Coast US cities). It it was it is. I have friends who fly private - that's about $300k USD. It's all relative - what's a lot to me might be a little to some of you, and visa-versa.

Anyway, again, I'm asking for people to have fun with some creative ideas here - if they wish. I understand there are different budgets, and 95%+ of this forum is devoted to budget stuff (almost to the point of exclusion), so this a request for something different. If you aren't interested then simply skip it - I'm not forcing or even asking anyone to cough up his own money.

I found some websites that offer party hosting and look interesting. Also have gotten a few creative suggestions both publicly and by PM. I'll compile and post a summary later.

In the meantime, keep the good ideas flowing!

Unfortunately, my plan pretty much went bust the moment I started to put my strategy together. In a nutshell, here is what I was planning to do.

I've noticed in my brief travels around town that many streets are not marked in some way, making it a bit difficult to find, even if you have a map. So, I thought it might be a good idea to find these areas and take pictures where these roads/streets intersect, being sure to include some type of identifying landmark in the pictures so that they would be more identifiable when someone, particularly a newbie, was out and about trying to find these streets that aren't marked.

Fortunately, I realized that such a service does, in fact, exist; Pattaya Photo Guide.

So, it seems it would certainly be redundant to go out and compile in photo form what already exists in web form. The only downside I find to Pattaya Photo Guide is that I haven't been able to print any photos from the site to possibly carry with me when I'm looking for a street. If anyone knows how I might be able to go about doing it I would certainly appreciate the information.

If you want a classy dinner in Bangkok the best choice is the restaurant "Scirocco" on the 85th floor of the State Tower.

Great food and incomparable view.

Bayoke 2 is not bad but Scirocco is another story.

never done any human hunting but i remember the first time i ever went to pattaya about 12 years ago we took a speedboat to larn and had great fun blasting chickens with automatics. not sure if they still do this anymore.

not everyones cup of tea i guess but was a great laugh at the time.

Well, it was much of the same when I awoke this morning, chest congestion, sore throat, and a runny nose. I’m not sure when this is all going to break but I hope soon as I’m really starting to get a bit antsy sitting around this hotel most of the day.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I had hoped to get around and document some of the surrounding areas’ intersections to give, particularly the newbies, an idea of what to expect when they go out exploring or go in search of a bar, as well as give me something more meaningful to do during my down time, but that can actually be better accomplished using Pattaya Photo Guide. However, I did decide to go down to Soi Buakhao as it is often referred to as such, but seems to be marked as Soi 22 where it intersects with South Pattaya Thai Rd.
Soi Buakhao begins as a winding road on its southern end and becomes straighter as you proceed in a northerly direction. I decided to ride down the length of the road and take pictures along the way. Here is a series of shots that I took. What I did was to stop at each bend in the road and shot just after the completion of the bend to give the reader a view of what was going on “just around the corner”, and then took a few shots of the straight-a-ways. Hope you enjoy.

Bonzo1: WOW, thats some serious play money... good for you guys.

First a word of caution. That is some serious money to be throwing around in such a short time, please be carefull. That kind of money is going to draw attention, if not by other mongers, by the girls themselves. Plus there is the RUssian mafia and the dam Nigerians that have started to migrat to Bkk. It can be just as dangerous there, as it can be in Los Angeles.

I have two ideas. The first is you can hire 250 hot girls, get a film crew and tape a porn of M&M does 250 Thai chicks. :)

The second one is I would rent 1 or 2 buses, load them up with the girls and your friends... drive south (partying) from Bkk and get some nice hotel away from the city. Stay there for a night partying like there is no tomorrow... You can still get a sailboat and cruise to an island and be back to Bkk on day 3. If you guys are looking for a charity case, I'd be happy to join in :). What ever you do.. enjoy! M&M out
