A regular 2-3 bedroom house in a decent neighbourhood is going to cost around 8,000-10,000 pesos a month. In a crappy neighbourhood I don't know, in one of the slums even less I would guess. Arroyo Hondo and I assume Gazcue are going to cost a lot more.

My error, she pays 2500 pesos per month. I actually asked her to write it down after she asked me how much I pay because I didn't understand what she was saying and I was surprised. I was thinking in pounds its about £50 so in dollars its about 70 dollars, still damn low in my books! I wouldn't know the area but its appox the same distance from Av Venuezela as it is to zona colonial but in the opposite direction. Nevertheless I couldn't care less what she pays but I find it hard to believe that most dominicans could afford to pay 550 euros per month rent. I did get the impression that kissing her in public was frowned upon, and got some looks from other girls, but it was fairly discrete in a dark part of the bar. Maybe she is a semi-pro playing me but she hasnt asked for anything yet. Or maybe she's just a poor working class girl looking for a better life for herself and her family, which doesn't classify someone as 'Trash' as far as I'm concerned.

There is nothing wrong with dating dominican girls as a gringo, but most girls of good families would not give a foreigner the time of a day unless properly introduced and formalities followed. Any woman that is worthwile wont hitch up with you in a week.

Writing this e-mail from Sosua. Yea I have seen many pros and semi-pros. Few locals just wanted to have fun and did not ask for cash....not yet at least lol.

I had been there many times before I showed up with my novia (and did the chica parade) and they knew me by name.
