There are many aspects of "appearance" with clothes being only one of those. And I know what part of the world we're talking about. In fact, you see for 5 years I lived in it. And it's not a matter of "liking it" or not. The point is that there's no need to get hung up on clothes. So, if somebody wants to be a "Don Juan John", then go ahead and knock yourself out! But what I know to be fact is that you don't have to go there if you don't want to. As long as you're dressed appropriately for whatever establishment you're in (could be very casual), you can have the hottest tute in the cat house (of course with the right amount of money, personality, and so on). That's the point.

I've posted about dress and personal hygiene a number of times on the Bangkok threads. I primarily do my mongering on extended business trips. I rarely wear a suit and tie but generally dress more professionally. I can say with certainty the way one dresses effects how everyone treats you, and that goes for the people working in the hotels, shops and sex workers. However that is in Bangkok. Pattaya is a casual beach town. Casual attire such as shorts and sport shirts are appropriate there. Dirty, tattered clothing is another matter, as is poor hygiene. It's simple common sense.

It's true, you don't HAVE to dress up to pickup hookers. Money is all you need.
But if you want to give AND receive some respect then you dress nicely (and you behave nicely, smell good etcetera etcetera). That doesn't mean you have to wear a tuxedo of course. Closed shoes, long pants and a nice (t-) shirt will do most of the time.

" My one word reply: OK. "But I go back to Surin tomorrow. Can you give me for buy ticket Teerak." (This is the first time that I can remember that she has ever called me teerak.) She called later and said that she only came to Pattaya to see me. I had to laugh. Bih, you didn't even know I was home when you told me you were coming. You sent me a message saying you were going to Pattaya to see a friend. (Or was I supposed to act like I did not remember that?)

That night I saw her come into 808 while I was sitting by the door with my friends. We greeted each other and she went her way with her friend - and a sexy friend it was (no loss of face Uncle V - They know you are in Pattaya to find chicks the same way that you found them.)

Two days later she sent me a message saying that she had made it home and to let her know when she could come back and visit me again.

In the day time I'm wearing shorts, t-shirt and sandals (without socks). First of all because of the weather and second because I usually don't pick up hookers in the day time. Although there are exceptions and I don't change clothes then, LOL.

In the evening when I go out hunting I change to closed shoes, long pants and a t-shirt. But all casual, nothing really fancy and certainly no hip brands. I don't know anything about fashion and I hate shopping for clothes!

Almost all of the WG's and freelancers pay a lot of attention to their appearance: clothes, shoes, make up, hair etc. (with the exception maybe of a part of the beer bar population and street walkers). I just don't want to look like a fool to them and all the people who see us when I pick them up and take them to my hotel. And I don't want them to feel embarrassed.

Just look around you when you are in Pattaya, Bangkok, Angeles or any other monger destination and see how silly it is when a lovely looking girl is accompanied by a shabby looking man. These girls must feel very unrespected (if that's an English word).

We paid all of our attention when we went to work to earn the money that they want from us.

Sure. The fact that you are well groomed and dressed nicely will smooth over the embarassment already present from the entire town knowing that she is a prostitute and you are her trick. And most certainly in Pattaya. And also when there's a huge age difference.

But it's all about keeping up appearances. The least you can do IMO is make it look less embarrassing for her and for yourself.

I do agree, anywhere in the world, even in grocery stores or just walking and even at work, a well mannered, nicely dressed person does get more respect without doing anything extra. I don't like to wear cheap clothes etc. And dress in designer clothes as we live one life, just live it beautifully than looking like a tramp. I respect everyone anywhere in the world I may be and it does not cost me anything to be nice and pleasant. I have also found that hookers also may give freebies and a better sex session with a pleasantly smelling and a well dressed respectful person. What I was saying was that anyone can get game if they have the money but the quality may be lower and maybe not a good a sex session as the girl may want to get away from a smelly person. I am not a judge of others and I just take care of myself. Enjoy mongering.
