Help lovers?
That must be great news for the Help-lovers. They only have to get the gringos to go to what I guess is one of Rio's most known g*y-clubs, get the wh*res to go there as well and get rid of the community that used to frequent LeBoy.
I pass.
I guess some people are stuck being termas / prives lovers.
Some people like to be more social, hard for some.
Just going to a termas before 7 p then back to the room doesn't appeal to some.
Who cares if it was a gay club!

Recreio exploration
So I had day off on Monday and decided to grab an Uber over to some termas I had seen on the main highway in Recreio one time that I was going to a non-pro event way out west. This was some true exploration as the Uber ride alone was R80 going (surge pricing) and R50 coming back.
First stop.
Paris Cafe.
Www dot pariscafe dot com dot br.
Recreio dos Bandeirantes.
Pricing.
30 min R280 cabine.
40 m R360 room with shower.
60 m R480 full deluxe room.
This is a huge multi-level establishment. There is one main bar that is bigger than 4 x4's. The other floors are all rooms. I believe they open at 6 pm and close at 2 am or later. I got there around 8:30 pm and there were about 10 girls and 2 clients other than myself. I only found one of the girls interesting. Name was Viviane, older, jet black hair, fit & tanned samba dancer body. Had to go through a labyrinth of floors and even through a garage at one point to get to the room. She was enthusiastic and alot of fun. After coming back down chatted with her and a couple of the other girls and they all told me the same story: all of the Barra / Recreio spots are dead on Mondays and that other days are much more active. Story made sense to me considering the size of the establishment.
Additional Notes.
- This place turns into a swing club on either Friday or Saturday (or both) nights so beware.
- There is apparently no respect for the non-smoking laws here. About half of the few girls there were smoking directly under the non-smoking law signs. Other girls confirmed to me that on busy nights there are many smokers and the place is like a cloud. If you are a smoker, perhaps this is a positive for you. I am not, so I probably won't be back.
Second stop.
Deluxe Clube (although the sign on the building says Termas Ancora do Recreio).
Www dot deluxeclub dot com dot br.
Recreio dos Bandeirantes.
This is about 1 km down the road from Paris. Walked into the main area and there were two girls sitting at the bar chatting and literally no one else in the place. I was the only client. For those from the NY / NJ area, it was like hearing the record cut as you walk into one of those ghost-town South Jersey gogo spots. Chatted with these two girls for a bit and they gave me the same story about Mondays being dead. After a little while two more girls emerged from the bathroom, but none of the four were attractive. Drank one water and left. On my way out the receptionist girl hit me with the dead Mondays story as well, and went on to explain that the majority of the girls take Monday off and come out to work and stay in the area from Tuesday through Friday since it is so far away. She also gave me the names of a couple other spots in Barra, but said they would probably be dead as well.
Conclusion.
Hard to say due to the Monday thing. Paris seems like a fun place to roll out to with a group of buddies on a busy night. Note that both these places were street clothes (no robes).
Quick Zona Sul / Centro Update.
Solarium remains absolutely awesome and is currently the best T1 by far.
MC remains just meh.
4 x 4 is still kind of up & down. Was awesome on one Friday, then shitty on the very next Friday.
Aeroporto has been fun, but the girls can still be tricky. They are supposedly having some kinda lingerie party next Wed the 25th.

Good news
If it works, it's good for people like us who won't want to go. Because (a) it will black hole attract the gringos there instead of the spots we like, and (b) it means more GDPs may come to Rio / get back to work. Increase in supply is always good, for choice and prices.
I saw LE Boy closed around the Olympics. Funny someone would try this. I doubt under Crivella it could thrive, but I suppose it's a location where the neighbors already were used to noise and sex and will be less likely to complain.
Every time I drive by the still unfinished "museum" on Av. Atlantica I laugh.
I am with you on that. This is good news for me and the guys I sometimes travel with. The problem now is trying to renew the visa. From what I gather it is taking 6 to 8 weeks to get one and a lot of passport / visa online companies quit serving Brazil because so many people missed their flights and they lost bookoo bucks waiting for the visas to be issued. There is no set time frame that you can count on. I feel there will be a run on the Consulate for visas and that ain't good. I am the guy that requires a base of operations and Help was just that. Can't do the Termus thing all the time so we quit going. So this is good news.

If it works it's great. The old Discoteca Help became world famous for reasons. Rio was full of gringos, Help attracted lots of people, great location, TA on the outside and nobody could miss it.
I think the new club owner is just using the name "Help", to really become a new Help it takes much more. Lets hope for the best.

Some people like to monger daytime and spend the evenings/nights together with regular non-pro girls. Impossible mission for some.

Help
Great news on Help if true although what's the story with the new mayor of Rio. Thought he was going to clamp down on all the fun?

Even if it was church or a mosque who cares only the present is important the past must be forgotten.

Last night went out to Centro and VM.
What amazed me was that I popped in a little place near Avenida Presedente Vargas, which normally is filled with fatties, had 3 beautiful 18-20 year old magrinhas.
I was shocked, LOL.
Bought beers for everyone!
Sat and chatted with the 3 of them, selected my favorite and had a nice time in the back with her.
70 R for 30 minutes.
Went and had dinner nearby and returned for another round.
She was sweet, and very accommodating.
Thin but with a nice round bunda.
Afterwards I was beat but figured I'd make a recon run to VM just for grins.
Not a bad night there, and I met another sweet 19 year old mulata beauty.
65 R later and I'm back at it, LOL.
She may be the nicest girl, personality wise, I've ever met at VM.
Great night!
Yeah I got a 10 year visa in 2014 from the consulate in NYC in less than a week. From what I heard the New York consulate doesn't BS around.
Depending on the time of year, the appointment you have to set online to submit your paperwork can be pain in LA. Once you make it in you are in and out in less than 10 minutes and the visa takes at least a week to be ready, but you have to be careful with setting the appointment to turn it in. A little over a year ago a couple of buddies on mine attempted to get their visas about a month or so before their trip. When they went online to set the appointment (which is the only way in LA to do it), there were not any available dates that would have allowed them to make their trip. The first available date was past the date of the trip and again this was a month before the departure date. They ended up using an agency in order to get their visas in time before the trip. I never even considered an agency before because the consulate is very close, but that was the only way to go for them. The funny thing was that they went to the agency in person to drop off and pick up their visas, which was located right next door to the consulate.
The consulate in LA have become a lot more stricter than when I first did it 15 years ago. Back then I just turned my passport and paperwork in without appointment right before the consulate closed and it was ready the next day. The whole process was done 2 days before my first trip. Now that is unheard of in So Cal. When I did my last renewal a few years ago, I had to cancel my planned trip because the appointment dates and the turnaround time to get my visa was too long to make it on time for the trip. A few months later, I was able to plan accordingly and get my 10 year visa just in time for the rescheduled trip. So anyone in So Cal planning on returning if the new "Help" is successful, you have to start planning about 2 months or so in advance when it comes to getting a visa in So Cal, at least if you plan on getting it yourself or consider an agency even if you live close to the consulate.
By the way, I think it was about 4-5 years ago, another place on Princessa Isabella near Sensoo tried to call themselves the "New Help" (I remember taking a picture of the sign saying just that), but I guess it didn't help them at all, LOL. I don't even think it was open when I saw it at the time. I never checked it out though.
