Thais seem to care more about showing off, comparing, and loosing face than making the common sense right decision.
I hope that helps with your confusion?
LBM
We're talking about young women in their late teens / early twenties. It doesn't matter what country they're from, women of this age generally don't make wise financial decisions. They live for the day.
Thais seem to care more about showing off, comparing, and loosing face than making the common sense right decision.
GD right they just want to show off. A friend of mine wanted me to bring her some Nuvo vodka. I had never heard of the stuff but a friend of hers had some once. It is in some pink bottle and she said it costs like 1000 baht. She said she would give me the money for it but I refused telling her that she didn't need that shit and she just wanted to show off for friends. Then the next thing I knew she would be calling saying she didn't have money for lunch. I'm one guy who does not mind telling them about themselves.
Sugar: ja want nuvo for my birthday.
MrE: you do not need that shit. You always want something you do not need.
Sugar: just some gift for friend. Even I travel I have bring some gift for friend.
MrE: but you always want gift pang. Everybody not rich same you.
Sugar: just you care that pang. Ok I you tell some friend do for you. So he can say pang to you what you feel. You care only your self.
MrE: I work for myself. When people work they can buy what they want.
Sugar: that thing not like 3000.
Me: I do not care if it is 1000. That is shit you do not need. You only want to show your friends.
Sugar: what shit if Thailand have I didt tell you to bring me. I can get my own.
MrE: yes you buy then next time you say you do not have money for food. That is stupid.
Sugar: ok stop talk that. Whatever you do.
MrE: only because you want to buy bullshit you do not need to show friends. You do not like me to say what is true.
Sugar: stop. It not true.
MrE: well why you need?
Sugar: just I want if you can bring it ok. I tell you buy me then I give you back money. I not tell give me free.
MrE: no. Then next time you do not have money for food. Learn to use money smart.
Sugar: I know much money for gift. But I tell buy for me I pay you back. I know what I do. I don't want talk again. I tell someone who can do for me

Mr. E,
Your conversation brings back some very bad memories for me. Now I handle situations like this differently. For those who don't know what is going on within the conversation let me break it down to you.
As the conversation progress Mr. E, press the issue about buying something she can't afford since she can't even buy food because she wants to show-off. She starts to get defensive and tries to justify it by saying she will pay him back when in fact one has to say how since she can't even save any money to buy food. This is a very common line use by Thais but when you think about it how are they going to pay you back. And if you question them as Mr. E, does they get more defensive and their tone start to rise because now they are loosing face. See, they like to ask for money but don't like to be question as to why and certainly don't like to be lecture which is basically criticizing them which isn't done in their culture. The word " Bullshit " use your smart was basically saying she has no head which translate that she is stupid.
In the end, it is like a test you buy for me, when questioned by like Mr. E, they loose face so it goes to I'll pay you back, you press on then they don't want to hear it or be lecture and they start to get heated. As she end ' I tell someone who can do for me " certainly this will be another Farang because certainly a Thai man isn't going to do it nor would they have such a conversation. Also, there is another lesson that there is a different standard for us Farang!

LittleBigMan,
Thanks for breaking it down, in giving your extended explanation as to why you feel a thai bargirl does not deserve to have something she wants for herself, a cellphone, while you go to the third world to get something you cannot afford to get in your home country, and along with it a little big feeling of power. Tremendous exhibit of self-awareness on your part.
How you got that message I have no idea? Anyone can have anything including a phone no matter where they live in the West or the East if they can truly afford it! What we are talking about particular in the East is if you are living as a pauper and you just finished spreading your legs and have cash 2500 baht and walk down Sukhumvit and run into a storefront selling phones. She see a knockoff and decides to buy it 2500 baht, now she goes back to her apartment and runs into the manager the manager reminds her that she is behind rent. She gets a call from her mother in Isaan that she needs money to feed her child and that her father is sick and dying?
We are talking about priorities and when we talk about Thais they seem to have priorities backward. Don't save, live for today like tomorrow will never come to collect and spend. I assume in general that the majority of women spreading their legs in Thailand don't make that much and renting a room for 1500 baht and 2 or more girls sharing should be buying a IPHONE, and of course it is their choice being in the West or East!
Now I know a girl that use to work at D. D. And she made a month somewhere around 75, 000/100, 000 baht, she had a 15, 000 baht phone, purchase a small house for a family and takes care of business like buying more land and saving for the day she retires. In her case along with any women P4P or not I couldn't give a flying F-k since they can afford to buy one! Thais seem to care more about showing off, comparing, and loosing face than making the common sense right decision.
I hope that helps with your confusion?
LBM
You are right on with this. I have visited some of the places these girls live. My last trip the girl took me to her "apt". She paid 500 B a month and said "expensive". The place was a total rat infested box of a shit hole and her kid was sleeping on a concrete floor. No kitchen and they shared a bathroom with others in the building.
But, she had a nice phone and said her phone bill is 3500 B a month.

Star of Light Visit
(first of all, I apologize to all of you my friends as this is my first report in the forum and I am an amateur report writer)
I arrived in Bangkok today and finally got the chance to visit SOL at around 5:30 PM today. 4,5 girls sitting outside. Walked to the door, smiled and greeted the girls and they gave me their smiles back. I immediately chose the girl closest to the entrance door. Unlike the other girls, she was very young, had a really cute 8 face and an above-average 6, 7 body. Took her hands and we went into the bar. One girl watching the door from the other side opened the door for us and we went in. Unfortunately, no other customers there. Man! I am here to exhibit and have BBBJ and sex in public (I. E. In presence of more than just WGs).
I sat on the second sofa and asked her to order herself a drink of her choice. She ordered and brought herself a Cola, sat beside me, and we chatted a little. Her name was 'Pia' (if I heard it correctly) and she was really sweet and friendly. Eventually she asked me if I wanted BJ and I answered yes! I was hoping to have a public boom-boom but decided to have it on a more suitable time when there are others in the bar. She asked me to drop my pants off which I took off with my T-shirt in a blink of an eye and got fully naked. Also asked her to take all her clothes off which she almost obliged as she did not took off her short skirt but instead folded it upper around her waist. Then she started the BBBJ. Excellent technique with deepthroating and even gagging in a few occasions and I could have complete access to her beautiful assets including her nice tits, pussy, and even her anus for a little probe during the session. She even started to finger my anus gently and professionally in order to stimulate me more!
This is where I saw a scene that reminded me of a previous report regarding racism in SOL: The bartender walked past us with her hand on her face and nose like she tries to avoid something smelly. Trust me guys! I was not smelling. I was freshly showered and had applied a generous load of my "DSquared2 Wood" perfume just a few minutes before as I myself more self-conscious about sweating and body odor. And in fact. 6 feet 3 inches tall with an athletic hairless body, I am not bad-looking. Just not a western-looking guy (dark eyes, dark hair, not-so-light skin due to long-time exposure to sunlight, more Spanish / Latin type). So, the behavior immediately reminded my the report and the bell started to ring in my mind but just ignored what I saw and focused on the marvelous service I was receiving. The other fact that made me more suspicious of their racist behavior was that no other girl came in from outside in order to offer me a second mouth joining in.
Eventually, After about 20 minutes of Pia trying hard to make me cum, I finally came in her mouth. We cleaned up for a while and then I went to the bartender to pay my bills. Again, she played the hand-on-nose looking-at-me-like-something-disgusting trick which I ignored again. The cost was 800 THB (700 for BBJ + 100 for lady drink). I gave a 200 THB tip to Pia, thanked her, hugged and kissed her on the chick and went out. But this time even the girl standing beside the door guarding and watching outside put her hand on her nose as I was approaching her and said something which sounded to me like a rude complement about me as I got out of the door.
Well! That was It! I am not sure whether I have been another victim of racism at SOL or not but I will definitely go there again in the next 4 days in order to become sure. BTW, As loong as I can receive services like the one I received today from Pia and I have the chance to fuck in public, I do not care how these girls behave for now.

LBM
It is ALL about face here. Does not matter where you live. It is about what you present. Yes, the priorities are very different from ours. Most things are different from the way we do things, but somehow they manage to survive and in some cases thrive here. It is amazing to me that it all seems to somehow work. You would think the economy would fall flat on its face, but it does not. Yes, they are different, but so are many places in the world.
There is an interdependence on family and friends that we do not have and I must admit cannot relate to. I am baffled by it almost daily. Again, my comment was meant almost tongue and cheek.
I think he's simply saying watch out for working girls who like to live beyond their means. They might be inclined to play you for a sucker.
But is this any different than most people in the West? Most live way beyond their means, run up huge bills on cars, houses, and credit cards, and if they lose their jobs, they are in big trouble. Seems that is one of the causes of the turmoil we have experienced over the last 4 1/2 years!

Or the girls are more classically oriented. Try "Old Spice Classic Scent" next time. Guaranteed to work: if your grandfather didn't use it, you wouldn't exist.

I was there last month for a pit stop. Busy with my girl in the toilet. 20 min later another girl comes in, I tell her to join and finally blew my load in her mouth. When I paid, the gal outside was sleeping on the sofa, looking bored.
