TioBob, just a small note regarding Hotel Pestana. I never stayed there, but this last trip me and my buddies went there several times in the evening/night. We went to their roof-top bar. Sometimes we went together with brazilian girls and sometimes not. Nobody ever stopped us asking if we stayed at the hotel. Just walking by the reception and straight to the elevators. That made me think how easy it must be for the hotel guests to bring in GPs.

With the decline in action and Copa at night, I am seriously thinking of staying in centro for the first time on my next vacation. As reported, Pestana has plenty of GPs.
Emporio always had GPs. In the old days many Emporio GPs continued the evening at Help. IMO the percentage of GPs at Emporio are higher than it used to be >10 years ago. The GPs I've seen at Emporio have just been average looking GPs.
