Think this is to clean Taipei up a bit for its 10-10 birthday?

Tons of Taiwanese now residing in other countries are returning "home"...

Enough self gloating and chest thumping on my last report......

Now for something of substance. Made a run to SC on Sunday to see how things are shaping up. Got to the park and was surprised to see two police on scooters just leaving. A third was loitering about and left soon after. But I also saw lots of touts hanging around and got bold and approached the shack that used to house Hsiao Mi (look up our past posts to see where it it). Went in and had a great time with a girl called "An An", she looked like a Japanese girl with the most sexy eyes. Felt like I was doing a Japanese idol ;p
when I left I chatted with the tout and she told me if we see them around all is safe (which is ironic since there was a policeman standing less than 50 meters away and totally blind to what was going on).

After a quick lunch to catch my breath I went to the bridge to see what is happening there. Went to the shack closest to Huan He Rd and saw they were open. Saw that Yi-Yi was there so had a session with her. She even was surprised at how cautious I was after the raids. She told me that after about 1 week things have returned more or less to normal.

So it seems relatively ok to go back. Exercise the regular caution and play safe.

By the way I saw a suspicious looking couple sitting on their motorcycles and hanging out by the park the day i went. Seemed to be touts but did not approach me or anything, just parked there for the better part of an hour.

Just be careful out there.

You can watch the girls and if you want to chat with them or take them into a private session you have to buy points. Seems the police are really beefing up their presence in SC. Went there last night at about 10.00PM, prime mongering hour and there were tons on police on scooters running around (but they seemed to be stopping cars and checking if they have been driving drunk, but i counted at least 12 of them).

But at the park there was a police car parked there with its lights flashing and serving as an effective deterant to any wouldbe mongers. I saw at least 3 or 4 ppl hanging out with that "shit" look on their faces. I thought about going to see the bridge too but reasoned that it would be even worse their since it was the epicenter of last raids.

So it seems the police are maintaining their pressure on SC but only at specific times.

I went to the park this morning ~10:30 A.M. An officer stood watch on the northeast corner of the park, watching over the entire shack lane. It was the same as about three weeks ago around the same time in the morning.

Any others have successful experience in recent days?

There was an officer there too when I last went (successfully) at about noon on Sunday. If you see the touts standing outside, then it should be relatively safe. If not, then leave.

Nope. Went through around 11PM last night and got stopped for a breath test. They didn't ask where I was going or try and discourage me in any way but are certainly asserting their presence. Safe to say that SC is out for the next several weeks.

I think Exile's assesment is right. They are keeping the pressure on for a while so I guess all of us brothers need to find out where the next pot of gold is located. Lets do some legwork and see what we can dig up.

In the past few weeks, I have noticed that the police have become more visible in other areas of the city too, not just SC.

Seems there is a more aggressive police force out there recently. When my 18 year old regular came to see me last week she told me there were lots of police milling around the short stay hotel I used (on Lin Shen north). We were worried about being raided but after a little while we didnt care....

Lets be extra careful out there brothers.
