Hi guys,

Just a quick report to contribute something back to this great forum. To the locals, apologies if I overpaid, but I couldn't find a decent price estimate in the last 10+ pages I read through. The discussions here were a bit too lively. Also apologies if this report is too basic as I'm new to the scene.

Hit Soi Cowboy today. Actually visited every single one of the clubs but most seemed rather dead or felt bad. In the end, enjoyed Shark and Bacarra (sp?) the most. Ok music, attractive women and no sleazy feel. Bacarra was actually too full, so couldn't get a decent seat. Looked like it had better selection but hard to tell, since I didn't stay long. Ended up spending most of the evening in Shark.

Girls dancing on the stage rotated every 20 minutes. Once off the stage, the girls would sometimes approach you to chat. Bought a couple of drinks for them (100-200 baht) and chatted. In the end, took one home. Total damage was 600 bar fine. 2,500 for the girl (ST). Girl was cute, decent BJ action and friendly, but I wouldn't say GFE. English wasn't so great, but we muddled through. Had an enjoyable experience and would repeat with her again, although there were quite a few others in Shark that I would want to try out before returning to her.

Both Bacarra and Shark had large enough selections to cater to a lot of different tastes. There were the smoldering sexy ones, girl next door, innocent doe-eyed ones, etc.

You will never beat the power of market forces, if the girl is a stunner then she names the price not you.

True, you can get below 4000LT but this is a normal price there. Not a 'rip off' unless you consider 4000 Baht a rip off in general.

Personally I had the best experience in BKK for 600 (which was. Well. The barfine) from Rainbow 4. However I am content with 4000 baht as a going price for a girl I really like. It just doesn't make much difference to me whether it's 2. 5K or 4K or even free. If it would, I would go to places that are cheaper and I would also negotiate (I usually don't or just pretend that I do not to look like an idiot).

It also depends on your personal attitude and values. I don't bother going to a cheaper pub or bar to have my drinks in London to save money. Simply because I never save mone on it. Not because I'm rich (I'm not really) but because it's not something I can be bothered to 'save' on. I just go to a pub I like regardless if beer is £2. 5 or £4 there. 3000 or 4000 baht is not a sum of money that is going to make any difference to my financial situation despite the fact that being in one of those 'expensive' locations brings satisfaction which is worth more than that to me. It's a rather simple math here. If I wanted 'cheaper' I probably wouldn't even bother going to Thailand and spending several thousands of £ but just get a few hookers here in London. It would be cheaper.

Some are proud of bargaining down to 500 Baht LT. Fine. Not for me though. To everyone their own I guess.

If the customers won't pay, the price will go down.

I have met girls that go to Spassos and ask for 3-5000 who then come into the Thermae or Gullivers and drop to 1. 5, I have met Rainbow go go girls who normally go 3-4000 who go for 1000 out on the street after work not having a customer. I recently met two lovelies in the BG who looked far upmarket and out of place, I asked them where they normally hung out and they told me Q Bar and Bed. I looked at them and point blank said,"wow, you must be taking quite a pay cut to come in here!" One laughed, and said yes, but that in those places there were too many guys trying to go for free, and too many ambiguities, whereas in the BG, it was plain and simple and everyone knew the score.

Actually, the rate of the girl has absolutely nothing to do with stunner (outside of the fact that a hottie can set a higher price because she probably has a lot more offers). It usually has far more to do with how many customers she has had that evening, how her finances are, how she likes you, how much time is left in the night, and a lot of other factors. One guy may pay 3000 for a girl whom another guy pays 1000 for. It actually is all up to the punter and what he is willing to pay, and frankly, too many guys I meet out there seem to think that the girl who is telling them an overinflated Bangkok price is the only one left in the universe. It also amazes me how many guys I see asking girls "how much?" In almost a decade here, I don't think I have done that once. I tell them, not the other way round.

My Bangkok trip was awesome. For all those looking for some action newly opened BOSSY near hotel skyotel in Batuna area is the best place. Its a disc with a entry charge of 300 batt with one drink. Worth it

Place is full of thai girls + some beautiful tashkent and ubeki girls. Low st and lt prices. Must visit place.

Shock 9 is a another disco but didn't do well to my expectations. Bar was nice same 300 batt with drink entry but all girls were not gud looking and even older in age. More of russians but old ones. Left ghe place in half hour and went back to bossy.) hehe hunting begins.

If the customers won't pay, the price will go down.[/QUOTE]The problem is that someone will always pay for quality, I met a guy last night who is staying at the Sheraton for 5000 baht a night, I asked him what he got that I didn't get in my 2000 baht hotel, he politely explained that money was not a problem and he lived in Dubai. This is the type of person you have to compete with.
