For me at 6'2, the Filipinos are much to small for me and the slant eyes, well, not my instinctive / native look. Facial looks comparing Medellin to Sosua. Keeping in mind all these Latin girls have these great 3-the bodies. Great skin and hair. Also plenty of common Black and Spanish blood. Problem. The number of girls in Medillin was very low in comparison. Like not even one tenth. Got to search thru these small brothels. True a few strip bars have some, and a few in the malls, but very few on the street and not really approachable as they commute with work anyway. In Medellin a really pretty face? A head turning face. True I'm very picky, but very surprising to me, I saw none. Wanted to. Head turning bodies and good overall package yes, but really pretty, no. Here in Sosua, with the tremendous numbers, I see cover girl faces everyday. Hard core? Not sure I know what that is anyway. Can't expect a girl to treat you like a novio on the first encounter can we? Some are really friendly and personable though. I will say this about Medellin, and I did have a good time there. The girls are very nice. Sosua is jut so mind boggling and I just beginning to scratch the surface potential. Like working on true, real young 10's. I think they take some time. Need to live here. They don't just jump here. Not for me anyway. Not if they are only 18-20yrs. And these incredible bar maids! Just mind boggling.
We are not the average mongers. I like this so much I practice my skills spanish, dancing and just loving the culture. I have a few girls I stay in touch with. This is one of the things that spices my life up. Sosua provides a very good time for me but 3 days is all I can usually handle at one time. I mix sport fucking with regular girls I know. They are very different activities but are both great fun.
Sorry if I was unclear. I did not mean to imply that all the girls you find in Sosua are trash. My friends find many nice girls there, as did I when I used to visit there regularly.
What I meant was that it is usually very obvious which ones are trash (by their appearance and behaviour) and with whom you stand a much greater risk of poor performance or worse problems.
And you can improve your odds by mongering outside Sosua. I understand that guys don't want to waste their limited vacation time, but not even the horniest can fuck non-stop for 24 hours per day. An hour or two spent travelling to Montellano, Puerto Plata and other nearby spots for nominal amounts is a cheap way to have a more interesting vacation.

I don't think so.
I was in Sosua at that time. And believe me, if two Haitianas were killed (one stabbed, the other with a broken neck) that would not have escaped my attention.
Now, there was a pretty ugly fight between two Haitianas that week that started at DLatin, and then, following a break-up, resumed again at Bar Central.
I did not witness it, but one of the fighting parties is a female acquaintance of mine.
I can assure you that rumors of bleeding to death and broken necks are vastly exaggerated. Jeezzz.
You don't have to believe me. Talk to the local bar owners / management. Thats who confirmed it for me, after my friend, who was with me that night and witnessed the whole event, told me that the girl who was stabbed repeatedly, died.
Two trucks of armed / helmeted National police surrounded D'Latins and swarmed the place, last night around 11:30. The bar was just beginning to fill up. Maybe 200 people or so. All men were directed to one side of the bar, all women to the other. The Police checked all the ladies IDs and detained those who did not have them. They were looking for minors. I do not know if they found any, but some people were escorted out and detained. Men were randomly searched. Those who copped attitudes, were hassled and had to show their IDs. The place was on lock-down for about 30 minutes. It was not a pleasant experience.
While hanging at Rockys the other day, I witnessed a situation. The guys from Daniel Car rental brought one of their customers to Rocky to get the customer to pay them for a scooter he had rented from them. Apparentely he had made friends with some local dominican. Was letting this local hang with him. At some point he allowed the local to get close enough to trust to "borrow" the bike to allegedly go get some marijuana.
Once the local took off he hasnt been found again. Daniels car rental want $2800 to settle the matter. Hold on it gets worse. The dude was out one night and managed to have his wallet stolen. His credit card was in there. Apparently since that incident Rick and others have been lending him money. So the dude was flat broke, and in a mess over this scooter.
It gets worse. He gave the rental guys his passport when he got the rental. I have never gave up my passport over a car rental. I think that mistake is what makes me think the dude is getting scammed. Once he is squeezed for whatever cent they can get, I'll bet money the local and the bike will reappear as if nothing happened.
This is the 1st time seeing Rick in action trying to help the guy. The rental guys wanted to come into Rockys to make sure the guy didn't get out of sight. But Rick denied them entry into the restaurant where the guy was sitting. After a while the policia national came, and then Rick allowed the rentals in so all parties could discuss the matter.
The result was the police would get a document drafted so they can arrest the guy. Figuring the police were handling the matter, the rental guys left, and the guy got out of sight to avoid an arrest. Even the next day Rick was still advising this guy on some options he could take. One of them was seeking alternative travel documents or even turning himself in so the situation doesn't escalate if he is detained at whatever airport he chooses to leave from. I would think someone trying to exit the country without their original passport would draw a red flag and possibly an investigation?
I think I met this guy and if it is the same guy, I saw him allowing some Dominican male take him to the beach to figure out how to rent chairs. Unfortuately he did no research and was told about the place by someone. Although nice enough was fairly naive and within 5 minutes of talking with him I knew he had no idea what he was doing. I am surprised about the marijuana if that part is true because of what he told me he did for a living. He told me about loosing his wallet and that Rick was helping him, which is more impressive because he isnt a regular. I explained that he should come down with at least 3 cards and keep them in at least 2 different spots or in the safe. He had no business renting much less driving there. How many mistakes did he make? Thank god he has Rick because he is going to need him. I have seen Ricks customer service several times and its a good reason many mongers stay with him because even us experienced mongers arent immune to a problem.
On another note, I hang with many expats and heard nothing about a stabbing. There may have been a broken neck somewhere I don't know.

If he manages to get out of there without losing his shirt, he'll never step foot on the island again.

It has been reported that Passions was shut down last night by tourism board. Guy on the ground saw the sign on the door. If this is true ,rubber is meeting the road. I don't use Passions but many guys swear by the place. It seems to be very well run and an institution in Sosua. If there I more info chime in. Cube Dave is slitting his wrist as we speak.

Best to plan out in advance and grab a room in the new wing

After he lost his wallet and another dude from North Carolina lent him $100 USD, I still saw the dude out drinking and not watching his back. I'm not surprised that something like this could happen to him.
Apparently the attorney general is interested in pursuing organized pimping and recruitment of chicas which might conceivably make places like Passions and CMP a target. Now I am not saying I have any special information, and maybe I am quite mistaken, but it would seem logical.
Sosua mayor Ileana Newman acknowledges prostitution's alarming jump in recent years, noting that those women have taken over its main street, Pedro Clisante, to offer their craft round the clock.

They also definitely don't want commercialized sex establishments, pornography, or sex shows of the type that you would find in Amsterdam, for example. To my mind Sosua is also relatively restrained compared to what it would be like in any US resort where prostitution was legal. I also get the impression that they are not too keen on guys who come down in large groups, sometimes promenading in what Dominicans would regard as inappropriate clothing for street wear.

Admittedly the beach is nice, but it's an island for crying out loud. You can't help but trip over a beach at every turn.
Help me out expats; am I missing something here? What is in Sosua that these "Tour Operators" are trying to bring tourist to Sosua for?

You should remind them that this isn't Europe!
