Put this on your Christmas list!
This looks like it might be the perfect solution to carrying a digital camera into the termas. A digital camera flash drive:

US soldier (or contractor) in Afghanistan found out he needs a visa for Brazil.
Any visa service? Seems there is not even a Brazilian embassy in Afghanistan.
Will he have to send his passport to a Visa service? To a consulate? Which one? Then maybe he cannot travel to the US if he has no passport?
He will arrive in a few weeks and just found out he needs a visa.
Fraudulent credit card transactions
So I haven't been in Brazil since last October. This past Friday I tried to use my debit card for my daily mocha and it was declined. Immediately I thought that was strange so I went online and sure enough there were rental car purchases in Florianopolis, restaurants and hotels with unfamiliar Brazilian Portuguese names. Total damage was approximately $1, 200. So I call my bank and apparently they blocked the card bc there were several other attempts at other vendors where the card was declined. Fortunately I received a provincial debit to my account for all the funds after I went through the claims process.
Point of my report I believe someone posted a prior report warning about a scam with copying credit cards some time ago. I do remember at Meia Pattaca a waiter taking my card and not swiping it in front of me and returning with my bill. Very unusual practice.
Thought I'd share as this is still going on.

Song from the film "City Of Men"
I was watching the movie City of Men this weekend and I had a question about a song on the soundtrack. The scene where Acerola reluctantly attends the baile funk party at the favela that they ran to when theirs was captured. Does anyone know the name of the baile funk song that they were dancing to? I looked on Amazon for the soundtrack but all the songs from the movie are not listed.
Please help with this question
For parties and hot women, which is better Rio or Sao Pablo?
Thank you in advance
Non-pro Craziness on the Beach
Ok guys, I've been in Rio for a couple of weeks now. On my third day here I met this woman that a friend introduced me to. We met in the afternoon for coffee, and then we moved to the beach. Her parents live in Copa, so that is where we met. She is totally not a GDP (she works in one the best restaurants in Rio as a Chef) , and we had a great time. I usually hate Copa because of the way they treat gringos there. Anyway, after coffee we had a few drinks at a dive bar she knows. Then she wants to walk on the beach. By this time it is around 8:30 or 9:00 at night. The lights were on and bright, but it had been raining so there weren't too many people around. So we drop down in the sand and almost immediately she is unzipping my fly. Of course I am rock hard by this time and she flips me over and starts going down on me. She had a short summer dress on (halter top type) and she rolls me over on top of her (somehow her dress top came down and she was all legs in the air!). So proceeded to go to it right there on the beach (with a very short pause to condom up). It was so hot! Here's the best (worst) part; when we finished, we heard applause from nearby. Unbeknownst to us, a small crowd had gathered and they were totally just standing there watching. She seemed to love it (in fact, now that I am thinking about it I think this may be her thing).
Anyway, this could only happen in Rio. It was dangerous, but I ticked a good few boxes off my bucket list that night.
If anyone wants to get together I will be in Rio for a few more weeks.
