One thing you should insist on if you do care somewhat about this girl / woman (assuming you do as you asked the question) is that you will only stump up for a house on land that is solely in her name. That stops the useless motorcycle riding ya ba freaks of brothers that will turf her out once the oldies die. Be prepared that you may well be older than her parents.

If you visit Isaan walk around a local mall, I once happened upon a local builder displaying homes, they were quite cheap for real houses that a farang would want to live in, most of us eschew the cinder block huts.

A lot of talk about prices going up and the girls asking for more money. Is there a difference in another part of the world? If so I would like to know where it is located.

I can't afford a Mercedes but I can still have a car to get me to where I want to go. So it just depends on the model of your choice as some are more expensive than others. Just don't buy the extended warranty and rust protection.

Moreover, there inflation that has happened over the year is very similar to the CPI anyway (as is documented ad nauseam here by people trying to make the opposite argument, spuriously). Not to mention that there is a much bigger market with much more variety BECAUSE of the market's attracting a variety of players.

But all of this is moot anyway, because ISG represents only a tiny, puny, irrelevant portion of the overall punters playing and paying, and there's simply no chance to create an effective collusion among mongers. None at all. Therefore anyone posting to this effect is doing it for entirely other reasons than his own benefit, or even the oft-purported benefit of all mongers.

I think 90%+ members of this forum are sick to death of this discussion, and I wish the moderator would ban it. Information on pricing is of course extremely useful. Endless bitching about people overpaying or prices rising is just clutter and has been the direct cause of otherwise helpful members (IMHO such as myself) becoming very uninterested in participating in this forum. There is a futility in trying to impact prices. The market is simply TOO big. In Bangkok alone, it has to be at least 10, 000 plus transactions per night, probably alot more. However I do consider those that reside here as having far more knowlede than ocassional visitors. So I carefully read everything they write. What I find particularly fascinating about this market are several things. 1 the ambiguity factor of G club dancers 2. The ratios of a dollar spend here on "social matters" relative to other major cities in the world. For example, comparing to NYC, its seems the cost of living in Bangkok is approx is one third that of NYC. But more importantly the (dollar assisted) social scene for an average middle aged guy would be approximately 10 times more valuable for each dollar spend in Bangkok. Lets say someone could spend $ USA 60, 000 after tax cash per year in Bangkok which is virtual poverty in NYC. Lets say 20, 000 was for the social factors and 10, 000 was for housing. Excluding food, transportation and miscellaneous. That would mean 60, 000 in Bangkok could be equal to at least after tax 260, 000 in NYC and even even then, I can't even imagine one being to acquire in NYC in pay for play related terms even at after tax $260k in NYC what I believe could be done in Bangkok. The point is the ratio could be far higher than 10 to 1, it might be 20 to 1 in regards to the social factor, even if could find it in NYC. Tokyo probably similar too, not sure. These are the kind of questions experts might have valuable insights into.

Let me ask you this? What is the percentage wherever you come from that you would build a house for your girlfriend family. America the answer is no, England no too, Germany no too? Etc. Etc? As for Thailand what would be the percentage that she would ask a Thai man to build a house for her family? The big chance is that the Thai man would get some recycle material and nail and put up a tin can shack for them and that would be a upgrade. As for you when it comes to a house in this particular case just considering the request and not married is overpaying out of the gate. If you don't she will keep you in the pocket until somthing better comes along or build her the house?

I will be returning to BKK next week and will post on places where I found great new girls. Would be nice to have great girl mongering experience reports dominating this thread! Juist a comment from a previous contributor. It was mantioned that the girls going to the disco's are the left overs from nana and other places. I do believe that to be incorrect. The original commenter was referring to go go's like Rainbow 4 and bar fines, then someone else mixed this in with discos like Insomnia. Climax and Bossy.
