considering most of america's land was either bought from somebody (russians, french, english) or taken (spanish, english, french) i wasn't phased by her exclamation. what struck me as odd was that a university educated person, and a bright girl actually, could be so certain that hearsay from her peers and most likely some ex-soviet types would be accurate.

Like Jake, I have found the occassional piece of heaven in an expatriate FSU girl, here at home or elsewhere in my travels.
