It took me several, perhaps many, trips to Pattaya before it clicked for me. For what it's worth I'm now actually living here (after probably 15-20 trips of varying success, at times even really hating the place and having similar feelings as you). I don't have any specific advice other than that I would say do try a few more tries, you might find a good experience or two changes things in your mind.

Also if you haven't already you may way to give Bangkok a try. That's actually how I got into enjoying Pattaya, was via Bangkok (spent over a year there during the course of a 5-yr span and ultimately did the same here, and now prefer to live here).

This ensures that they won't last long (or won't have many mongering options) - in fact we've already seen that over the past 10-20 years, Indians are largely discriminated against in Thailand, for these (good) reasons.

So I suggest we just move on.

I've been going through my photos while in Pattaya. Was feeling nostalgic and I noticed that almost every night I was there the same dancer would come up and flirt with me. I tipped her ONLY my last night and had a girl with me.

Which brings me to this, would you bar fine a dancer at a club like insomnia knowing they have insane prices, if memory serves me right 1500 bar fine and around 4000 LT. If you are about to pay 5500 for LT, you are not into the girl, you're into some fantasy and you need to wake up.

Try an experiment. Offer her 1500 LT if she will meet you after work. See how into you she is.

Day1. Arrive in Pattaya. Checkin at LK Resinnance on Soi Diana.

Seriously, it's one thing to give tips about prices but another thing entirely to try to police it. Pay 100,000 for all I care. Whatever floats your boat. It's a HUGE market and there will ALWAYS be people who pay more (and less) than you, no matter what you say or do. Personally if I can overpay to get better service I always will, and I have some girls on call 24/7 because they know I'll give them 3000 for ST no questions asked so they show up within an hour or two no matter the time of day or night (and they are smoking hot and let me creampie them which I like) - so that's worth it to me. And believe me I'm literally never thinking that some poor punter is going to be upset that I'm overpaying.

And I have those same girls on call who know I am going to give them 500ST. Not knocking you for giving them 3000, but Tell All's point is that it is not necessary. Try to show a guy how he save a baht and get chewed out.

If agoda is trying to charge me 4000 baht to stay at Sunshine Hotel on Soi 8 and someone says hey man, just email the hotel directly and you can get it for 2500 I would jump on that. MB[/QUOTE]You can read my trip report from a few weeks ago to get an idea on rates.

When I go back, I would be spending my afternoons on Soi 6 where the rates are cheaper, and where there are some very attractive ladies. (It would be a good place for three-ways and a place to hire girls to spend the entire day with you sight seeing and having dinner.) I would also spend the night time (after 10 pm) on Walking Street visiting some of the clubs. Afternoons and nighttimes are good to check for free lancers, which you can find standing around WS at night or Beach Road almost anytime from noon to sunrise. In Pattaya, I got some of my best performances from free lancers, but spend time taking to them first to get a feel for what kind of girls they are; be sure they leave their ID with the hotel staff (just in case they try to rip you off); and, of course, makes sure they are real girls. A couple of times I was nearly fooled!

As for what clubs to visit, I read reviews of various clubs here but still ended up visiting a bunch over the week I was there. You can read what I wrote about several, but you will still want to make your own selection. My main advice would be to make friends with the mamasan of any clubs you like. They can help in getting you the girl you want, especially if the girl is busy.

You think you need to pay 3000st to get what you want. I think you should give them 4000st. If the service is good at 3000, it will be exceptional at 4000. Hence your logic.
