This is not a criticism just an opinion. You cannot experience the beauty of Rio's women without spending a weekend day at the beach. You should also visit Rio's trendy "regular" clubs where hotties usually hang out at night as well. I have been to Miami many times. I am always surprised that walking around the city I don't see hotter women. Show up at the beach on a sunny weekend or go to one of the hot clubs in Miami and Miami Beach late at night and it's a different story. You wonder where the hotties are the rest of the time.

But, I found the branca pictured below in there, and she is one of the absolute best experiences I have ever had in Rio! So, it's always worth it to pop in there just to see what they have to offer. Your initial words might have given somebody the impression that you have to be a wealthy, Portuguese-speaking individual in order to have a good time in Brazil. I am neither, and I have a blast each time I go down there. If I can do that, then so too can any other middle class, Western guy like myself who doesn't have a strong grasp of the language (although my Spanish does help). That was my point. Places like MV30 and even t31 have all types of girls. MV more whites and morenas than blacks and t31 is a mixture of morenas, blacks and a few whites.

502 is the deadest place.

Even VM you can find plenty of morenas-Italian / spanish / portuguese looking girls.

I have. You don't have to speak portugues even there. Just learn 65 for 30 minutes and 130 for 1 hour. Keep time. They are used to gringos but absolutely you should do what makes you comfortable just know hat there are more options available. As usual its about hitting all the spots and doing a bit of recon untill you see sth you like. Sometimes I have to come back twice in a night to same spot as some come later etc.
Matter fact,even trash spots have occasional hot fairer skinned girls.I have seen them.
Next time I will take you around if we are there simultaneously.

Based on the below feedback on my trip report from The Cane and FuckAfMedDig, it appears that 502 may not have been the best place to start my aborted tour of the cheaper Centro termas: 502, MV30, and T31. I had originally considered visiting all three of those cheaper termas but shifted gears after my brief and unsatisfying visit to 502; instead of MV30 and T31, I ended up going to the most expensive termas in RJ (Solarium and Centaurus). I had decided to start a tour of the cheaper termas with 502 because my pre-trip research suggested to me that it might be one of the best cheaper termas; Bubba's guide described it as a Tier 1 termas at Tier 2 prices. Perhaps 502 has gone downhill since Bubba wrote his guide years ago, but I did not find any more recent information in my pre-trip research to contradict his characterization. I figured that, if I did not like 502, I would like T31 and MV30 even less, so I revised my strategy and went to the pricier termas instead.

The smaller amount of information that I found on the cheaper termas did not inspire my confidence either. It sounded to me like some of the cheaper termas involved some sort of trade-off on either talent or facilities and atmosphere. For example, it sounded like T31 had good talent but questionable facilities and atmosphere, whereas MV30 had better facilities and atmosphere but lukewarm talent. I figured that if there is less reporting on the cheaper termas, perhaps there were good reasons to avoid them.

If anyone has any more detailed input on the cheaper termas, it would be worth adding it to this thread in order to balance out the more extensive coverage of the top-tier termas. For example, if anyone else thinks that 502 is a dud, as The Cane and FuckAfMedDig suggested, then it would be worth noting that for the record, so that other first-time visitors can avoid it and not waste their time there, as I did.

502: there are some good looking women, every Monday, you don't pay for entrance. It is often dead in 502. You must be lucky to come across a good day in 502.

T31: there are some good looking women in t31, most women are dark-skinned and black.

My best place in Rio de Janeiro is 4 by 4. If you like women whiter better to go to high end termas or SP.

Shifting through shit for diamonds is okay for extended trips in Brazil but for a week or less I think going for the top tier is more than adequate. Full disclosure I have a pretty high income and I like 10's or at worst 9's. I like you did not like CTG and wished I would have chosen Brazil because I know the amount of 10's is unmatched.

It doesn't take anytime to find rough diamonds-matter fact in 2 hours we could hit 10 centro lower tier spots and I almost guarantee we would find at least 2 v hot girls. Hot or hotter than Tier 1 termas.

I would love to have the time and knowledge to hit the lower centro spots but for stays 7 days or shorter it is a waste of time. Consider your viewpoint, you are very familiar with the city which is the polar opposite of someone visiting for a short time. Believe me I want the negras and morenas but I did not have time to plan my travels or the language ability to communicate to a taxi driver.

I would suggest Solarium, if you want model-type whiter (r) women and upscale facilities and do not mind paying a premium. Centaurus. Not so much. The girls there are not hotter than any of the other termas. It is probably more expensive because it caters to gringos, many of the girls speak English, and Ipanema is expensive in general.

What did you dislike about CTG? Was it the (mis) behavior of the chicas there? If so, that raises another important point and another virtue of the termas business model. My experience at the RJ termas was the most drama-free week of mongering that I have ever had, with the possible exception of the MDE Mansion. None of the girls caused me any problems or otherwise misbehaved, e. G. None of them tried to swindle me, asked for money up front, changed the price after the fact, etc. That is one of the advantages of the controlled, fixed-price environment of the termas. Only the Mansion was as drama-free for me, as I believe that the smaller, more intimate environment, where everyone knows everyone else, created a "circle of trust" that encouraged people to be on their best behavior.

I don't speak Portuguese but Brazilian women especially those I have sessioned in Rio have given me better service than anywhere else in the world. I have rudimentary Spanish skills and have had my worst sessions in the DR. I have had better sessions in Colombia but not as good as in Brazil. It may be an individual thing, perhaps Dominican women prefer your look to mine.

I agree that the best gems in Centro you'll find in "lower spots", like privées ranging from R$20-100. In a very concentrated area you'll easily find 40 privées in 4-5 buildings. It's at those places you'll find the newbie diamonds.

I disagree about the recommendation that newbies and one week mongers should visit the privées. I hope they stay in their playground, the termas and Mab's. A bunch of loud, non-portuguese speaking gringos rumbling around in the privê-buildings knocking on wrong doors will just ruin the privê-scene. If the privées will continue to exist it's necessary that the customers knows how to behave and be discreet and not being an embarrassment. That could scare away the regular clients (the office-guys and other locals) or even cause the privê to be closed.
