Switched to Electronic Cigarettes
Guys,
Davao City IS a Non Smoking City where the Law, unlike in Makati, is strictly enforced. I LOVE THIS!
In May 2013 the American Cardiologists Association released an announcement based on years of study. The Number 1 cause of Heart Disease in Non Smokers is breathing second hand smoke from asshole smokers. A month ago on satellite tv here in America I saw, for the 1st time ever, a commercial with a guy talking about how he has lung cancer, even though he did not work around asbestos or carcinogens causing lung caner. And he NEVER smoked a day in his life! At the end of the commercial a Statement came across the monitor stating that this man died of lung cancer at age 54. He never smoked a day in his life! He acquired lung cancer breathing second hand some in the workplace.
Witnin five (5) Years I predict there will be a Law passed in the USA prohibiting smoking in any public place, including parks and sidewalks or trains, taxis, etc. New Jersey has already passed a Bill prohibiting somking on ALL public beaches after a huge public outcry for this.
In May 2013 Davao City passed a Bill that prohibits smoking ANYWHERE inside a hotel! No smoking rooms or smoking floors! In the Marco Polo, to smoke, you must go to the outdoor smoking area off the Eagles Nest Bar in the Lobby. No more smoking by the pool or the bars / cafes around the 4th floor swimming pool. THIS IS FANTASTIC!
In Cebu City the Hotel I stay at prohibits smoking in the two restaurants or the Lobby. I always stay in a non smoking room. When I had the 19 year old, big titted kid with me, she would go out to the terrace are off the 3rd floor to smoke. We always dined at fine dining hotel in Cebu City, like at Crossroads. All of these Places prohibit smoking indoors.
I have no desire to suffer due to the addiction of some nicotine guy. Nor do I intend to have my children subjected to this.
Dragon Slayer.
I still have a nicotine addiction, but quit smoking tobacco cigarettes abot three years ago. Now, I use exclusively electronic cigarettes, which produces no smoke or smoke smell, simply vapor. I was in Davao last month, and was pleased to see the recent widespread acceptance of e-cigs. I always stay at the Marco Polo, and recently noticed that the smoking area was temporarily closed due to renovation. Thus, I was especially happy that, despite the smoking ban, I can continue to puff away on my e-cig anywhere with no issues.
