People are not taking time outs from discussions here in Bangkok / Thailand. They usually occupy the Rajprasong intersection and stage a demonstration for approximately 65 days. After my ST, I went to Insomnia to test the disco nightlife. Comparing with previous experience, it seems to be better than Climax. It's Tuesday and full enough for a weekday, and plenty of girls. And you don't have to stand a live band as in Climax. Standard repetitive disco music, nor good nor bad.

It's quite fun and lively. However, it is like the antithesis of Gogo bars. In Gogo bars, it's mainly about older men picking up young girls. In Insomnia, it's mainly about young men picking up older girls. It's probably cheap (from the profile of the men there, I would say max. 1500 LT) , but as I am an older guy I prefer young girls, so I just had a few beers and left.

Since the socialists in here insist in keeping the political discussion going. They at least owe it to others in here to stop distorting reality. Participating hospitals may only transfer or discharge patients needing emergency treatment under their own informed consent, after stabilization, or when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better equipped to administer the treatment. The level of treatment beyond that point can depend upon a variety of factors, including the type of insurance, but in the USA many will by default qualify under medicaid and various other programs including various private charities, but in any case the USA still generally provides care comparable or better than most other countries in the world. While we may have a european-socialist US President. Who is now running a media-supported hate campaign against hardworking and successful people. Who is willing to bad mouth and distort facts about america every chance he gets. It doesn't mean what he is saying is true. Even illegal immigrants in most cases generally receive a very high level of care in the USA, unlike nearly any other country.

As later documented by Governor William Bradford when the Pilgrims arrived in America, at Plymouth in 1620, they tried socialism the first several years, and the result was starvation and famine. When they changed the rules to allow producers to keep a portion of their goods to make profits, production quickly rose and things greatly improved for everyone. Same thing in China several decades back when they moved from the communist / socialist model and introduced elements of capitalism. Allowing farmers to keep half their crops for personal profits, a huge increae in production, benefitting all and helping increase the standard of living.

Socialism is great in theory, however its success when it has has occured has been mostly in group-centric homogeneous cultures that keep outsiders out and limit benefits to these same parties (e. G. Japan) , yet in most countries has not worked well in practice as it tends to demotivate and disincentivize societies most productive and skilled individuals, instead encourgaging dependency and lack of effort. Socialism does one thing very well and that is: divide up all the poverty it creates.

By the way Thailand which of course still has many problems, is very close to pure capitalism, however if you believe socialism would have produced better results, then you better tell us how adjoining and nearby socialist-centric countries have done better.

Can we please stop discussing socialized medicine and maybe get back on topic.
