Rio de Janeiro Reports

After arriving and getting settled in yesterday, it was around 10 pm. I was pretty exhausted and not really in the mood, but also didn't want to fall asleep too early. Thought I would stay up just long enough to scout Mabs for entertainment and to see if the revival mentioned here was real.

Since 10 pm is way too early for Mabs, walked over to Monte Carlo to hang out and pass some time. I found the girl quality to be somewhat improved from 8 months ago, but still nowhere near what I remember of Solarium. There also seemed to be a significant increase in clients and activity in general. Not sure whether that was a general indicator or just due to holiday activity (all of Av Atlantica is abuzz prepping for NYE).

Around 12:30 am began the walk over to Mabs on Av Atlantica. About halfway I encounter a random tout on the corner of Rua Duvivier handing out flyers and yelling about some "new" spot full of girls. I engage him in conversation and he claims that the place is chock full o' girls from 10 pm until 8 am, there are rooms available on premises, and that there is some R80 cover fee to get in which he, of course, can get a discount on. I wasn't really buying it, but then upon looking down the street I saw a bunch of balloons and a lot of activity so I agreed to at least take a walk with him to check it.

As we approached I thought this might be Kalabria reborn, but then remembered that Kalabria is a couple streets over. Upon arriving there were 3-4 decent girls standing outside smoking with a few random clients. There was a yahoo doorman who agreed to open the door so I could have a look with the restriction that I could not actually step in. He opened the door and I was immediately hit by a thick cloud of smoke which made me wonder why those few people bothered to go outside to smoke. I saw a small-to-medium size square room that was indeed replete with girls and very few clients. I'd say maybe 20-30 girls all of which appeared decent or better. In other words, in my quick scan the girls did not appear to be scary or hideous.

It left me with a few thoughts:

1. Why are they doing this shady / scammy cover fee nonsense if they have so many girls and so few clients?

2. Is this another temporary / seasonal pump & dump ala New Help from last year?

3. It was nice to see a place with that many girls at 12:30 am. If they really do show up at 10 pm it could be a valuable alternative to all the super late night stuff.

All-in-all, if you can tolerate the smoke cloud it is probably worth exploring further. Just beware of any shady tactics. Address on the flyer: Rua Duvivier, 18 B.

I then finished my walk down to Mabs, which was packed. Made a quick circle around it and saw that every single table was full and they were many standing around as well. There was definitely a vibe of high action, although again this could just be due to the holiday season. Unfortunately, the quality of the girls did not seem great as there was not a single one that caught my eye.

I know the owner and probably know the tout. There was no smoking inside before and the room was an oversized closet (still did a threesome there). Girls come and go, which is why you can't judge it in 15 minutes. Haven't been in awhile since the non-pro scene has become so active.

Started out yesterday evening hitting the Centro clubs near Uruguaiana.

A bit light on girls, got lucky though at a club across the street from Presidente Vargas, near the club at 210, on Leandro Martins.

A new girl, magrinha but with a nice round booty, Latin look.

Price was 70 R for 30 minutes, and got her number for a hook up on another day.

Ran by Vila Mimosa, of course lots of dudes on a Friday night getting shit faced walking around.

Saw some of the normal garotas there, but I wasn't feeling for them last night.

Was about to leave, when I ran into a girl I had met a couple years ago in a Centro club.

Ok face, but absolutely best ass with tan lines that I've ever seen.

I somehow found the energy to go the room w her.

Not much on the personality department, but damn her ass and skin tone more than make up for it, LOL.

On the way home, stopped by Mabs, about 130 am for a recon mission only.

A bunch of girls, nothing great, saw a couple cuties though.

Talked with a pretty magrinha I hadn't seen before, she was milling around outside the place.

An Italian dude was talking with her, and I was hoping he would split, and he did.

I immediately jumped in and spoke with her a bit, very cute, got digits for hook-up probably today.

I wouldn't base my Rio stay on MABs action, though I'm sure some guys do, however, a drop in visit is definitely worthwhile.

I wasn't a grandpa at the time LOL so I thought this is what the old guys must do, I preferred Help and other venues, casas and Termas were never really my thing. Unfortunately the mother of all places for freelancers Help closed in 2010 so those of us that like a more social scene and do the deed in our apartment have to resort to places like Mabs or Dolce Vita or escorts or trolling facebook or other social media and apps these days. Those old guys 60- 65 LOL may just be the type that like a different venue than hitting the bricks in centro and be kind one day you'll be one of them going up and down those stairs with sore legs.
