If you must wake up in the U.S., its great to open your eyes and see that "Cube" has posted some pictures. Before I click on them, I can be guaranteed that they are of very high quality. God I would hate to travel with this guy, Our taste is so similar that I feel I have been to these places!

Yeah, I read about this yesterday on MSNBC dot com. Sounds like it wasn't a random act of violence, although it usually isn't. It says here the guy charged $600 a day for his private tour, yet had "financial problems". I guess the moral of the story is, if you're going to run a business in South America, pay back your creditors in a timely fashion.

Man who ran site touting ‘sexy, exotic’ Latin women gunned down in street
BOGOTA, Colombia - An American entrepreneur who introduced foreign men to “young, sexy, exotic and beautiful Latin Women” via the Internet was killed in the western city of Cali by gunmen on a motorcycle, police said Saturday.
Robert Marshall Vignola, 50, of Hamden, Conn., claimed he created the Web site [url]www.latinwomenconnection.com[/url]. The Cali, Colombia-based company, in business since 1999, claimed it “has assisted hundreds of clients in the search for the Latin Woman of their dreams.”
In addition to offering contact with women pictured in bikinis for $20 each, the Web site promoted vacation packages to Cali including a “private tour” accompanied by Vignola for $600 per day plus airfare.
The site also sold a book penned by Vignola entitled “Secrets of Romancing Latin Women.” It describes Latin females as “the type of women that make a man’s heart race, blood boil and libido accelerate into overdrive.”
Vignola was shot and killed Thursday night by two men on a motorcycle while driving to Cali’s airport, police said. His 33-year-old Colombian wife, Beatriz Ramos, was hospitalized with bullet wounds in the shoulder.
Police rule out robbery
Cali’s police chief, Gen. Alberto Moore, told The Associated Press on Saturday that authorities did not know why he was killed but had ruled out robbery.
Cali, home to Colombia’s dominant cocaine cartel in the 1990s, remains among the country’s most violent cities.
In addition to the “matrimonial service,” Vignola had a casino in Cali that went bankrupt, leaving him with considerable debts, Moore said. “So it’s said that possibly people could have been demanding money, and he didn’t pay and so they took this reprisal.”
Moore said Vignola had financial problems in the United States but said he had no details.
Relatives of Vignola in Connecticut, where according to his personal Web site he practiced law and offered assistance in obtaining mortgages, would not comment.
“We’re in mourning right now so please don’t bother us,” said a man who answered the phone at Vignola’s father’s home.
A friend of Vignola in Cali who spoke on condition he not be identified said Vignola only visited the city three or four times a year.
Vignola’s personal testimonial on the Web, which describes him as its “former owner and original founder,” recounts how he met his wife in Colombia after deciding he had “almost no chance of finding the woman of my dreams here in the United States.”

I don't know Cali, but are there really that many gringos and other English-speaking sex tourists going there? Would naming a casa in Cali on ISG cause their business to increase by even 5%? I don't mean any disrespect Cubanut, you're one of the best contributors on this site. I don't tend to hang around fellow mongers when traveling, but outside of Laguito in Cartagena I haven't run across loads of sex tourists in Colombia.

I fully understand Cubanut. I would do the same. Why ? well definately because a lot do not know how to deal with real life in third world countries. Many gringos like to wave too much with the green bills. This creates problems for a lot of conscious travelers.
When you look (as for an example) to Cartagena. Prices overthere are completely messed up by tourists and crazy guys wasting big bucks on everything including whoes. That's why a regular fuck now costs about 5 - 6 times the price of a regular same fuck in another city in Colombia (not including the capital). Make your conclusions and deal with the fact you just dont pay prices different from real colombian men, living there and doing the same as you do on holiday in their country.
Use your brains and not your wallet. Then... ISG will be a better place for everyone. And people like Cubanut wont hesitate to tell where and how much.
There is no way I'm going to slam Cubanut, because he's added so much to this forum. But I've got news for you, ISG is a good place because people share information.
It's interesting you bring up Cartagena because (a) it's the only place in Colombia that I'm familiar with where extranjeros have had a significant effect on the price of poontang, and (b) it's the Europeans, like you, that are just as or more responsible for the high prices than gringos. Look at the Italians paying 400,000 pesos in LDV. You've got strong euros and you're spreading them around. I don't think you guys can rightfully blame pussy inflation entirely on us. In most of the places I visit, it's really not the fault of the Europeans or the gringos though. It's the locals, in Colombia the businessmen who are prospering under Uribe. Add to that inflation in Colombia and a weak dollar, and in USD terms, yes, poontang is more expensive.
Many Colombians, not just the hookers, are doing better than they were 5 or 10 years ago. That's a good thing, even if it does mean you're going to have to pay 10 euros more for a piece of ass.

even though I generally feel gringoization of almost anything is BAD, the FACTS are that there are not all that many gringos in Cali, even in the north side zone around Sexta where they tend to stay.
I personally like almost NOTHING about the casas, they are low end brothels with high turnover, the big difference being that you will often find girls who look like you´d never find them in a brothel. But here the brothels are full of them. I´d love the places if I were 18 again, and it´s worth noting the large majority of the clientele in these places is probably 18-25 and they are Colombians. I have also noted before that the ambiance isn´t helpful and doesn´t tend to encourage good "performance" either, actually quite the contrary I think.
So comments like "gringos have ruined Cali casas and now all the blowjobs are covered" etc are frankly ERRONEOUS. The vast majority of the clientele is local, even in the gringo north side zones around Sexta. Even in the most popular gringo viisted casa, Clinica de Amor, the time I stuck my head in there, around 4 pm last week, there was maybe ONE gringo/extranjero in the place and the rest were Colombians. Even a place like Escoces, doesn´t see as many gringos as one might think, though it does see a lot of extranjeros.
the so called Piscina casa I was told by a taxista attracts a very bad element, and actually In have been told about a multitude of other casa and take out discotheques, etc etc that exist but have probably almost never seen a gringo, due to where there are located and due to the fact, you´d better have a local friend accompanying you if you go there.

Yes, gringos are clowns and fools and usually destroy price structures, etc but they are not in any way shape or form driving the Cali casa market (which I am no fan of btw) nor are they responsible for the preponderance of covered BJs (one would think lots of govt public health warnings combined with dealing with yards of dick daily might drive a girl to consider it)
if anyone wants to post or withhold info, that´s their individual decision which I respect.
btw, I´ve been here several weeks and have yet to speak to a gringo (mostly by choice, but I also haven´t seen many, they all tend to be centered around the Don Jaime). The beautiful thing about Cali is you can completely fucking avoid them if you want to even in the Versalles zona.

ANY paying, and in good standing, rule abiding member of ISG, Has the right to share or withold ANY and all infomation on mongering to his/her disgretion. I agree with Cubanut 100%. If I was blessed to be in the same postion I would not share information. It is only human to want to boast & brag. However, when you share information it tends to multiply. It's great in marketing, but in travel it is troublesome.
I travel to get away. Away from New Jersey...away from the USA... Away from everything... That is what the core of a vacation is all about. Those of us that have truly traveled know this. I'm young and very new to this. However, I remember the SouthBeach (Miami), the DR and Ibiza of the of the 90's... I was there well before the cameras of E! & Travel Channel Cable shows. And now I refuse to return, because some assclown couldn't keep his f**king mouth shut. Now my utopias have been ruined by the tourist monster.
I love my new utopia too much. Excuse me for being a bit jealous and protective. But I'm sorry, I am keeping the little I know about Colombia to myself for awhile. I guess I am still an idealist and a romantic at heart.

If anyone has a great experience anywhere, but would rather not share it, I totally understand. Matter of fact, I have many such places. But why mention them? Simply say you went to Cali and had a good time. NO reason for (na-na-na-na-na). Just my thoughts. You can always PM a select few the info if you so desire.
