Now I'm sleeping alone because what you wrote is so true. They all have kids, they all want money, when they think they got you, they want more and more. So, I'm so now rather going on the hunt, I've chosen a different venue, I am the hunted. Just take an evening walk down the malecon in Puerto Plata, have a beer in any bar in Sosua. Let the chica do the hunting, I set the guidelines for price and time, but most of the time I go home alone. They are all the same. Let one get her foot in your door, and she is hard to get rid of because she's dragged her kid or kids along into the picture. Tough love.
October Trip (No United Flights)
Fellas, I was planning a trip in October, but for some reason United (my preferred airline) is not going to POP for the next two months. I called United to inquire but the only thing the agent could tell me was what I already knew, there's nothing showing until December 1st believe. Does anyone know anything about this and why they may do this? Please let me know. Thanks
Changing city of departure
I just did a search using Tripadvisor. I searched a flight from JFK to POP on 10/1 at $200 one way. Then I chose my return flight through SDQ, one way to JFK on 10/15. That price was $254. Combined those prices are cheaper or about the same as a roundtrip ticket to POP.
That works for me. And maybe anybody else who may have contacts they want to have a good time in the north coast, and then head to the south to do the same. I intend to enjoy Sosua for a week or so, and then take the bus to SD and over to Juan Dolio / San Pedro. After I'm done I'm already close to my departure airport. If I would have chose the same departure city as my arrival, I would be putting a burden on myself if I decided to still take that long bus ride to the south coast. This way, I only take the long bus ride only once.
