Eastern bunnies in Buzios.
Henry,
I checked my diary. I went to Buzios in April, in Eastern. Holidays attracts tourists to Buzios. Lots of tourists means lots of pro's.
I guess during the week there might be fewer pro's. I would recommend going there on a weekend or at a holiday.
The garotas were definitely all pro's, even though some wanted to give the impression of being semi-pro's.
I saw so many stunning girls in Buzios. It“s a shame that the pro's didn't hold the same standard. Many of the pro's acting like they were princesses even though some of them didn't measure up to the standard of, my so beloved, Vila Mimosa.
Other areas in Brasil - Maceio
Maceio is a smallish (1 million) town with a smaller town atmosphere (not like Rio, Sao Paolo or even Recife). Very good beachs in town but better beachs just south and north of town. I visited Praia Frances, and Praia Sao Miguel. The latter had a party boat called the Caio Mar. For $120 R basic price for 2 people we were given all the food, drinks, music and dancing for about 6 hours of fun and met some fun Brasileiros/as. Piscina something about 10 minutes from Ponta verde has sail rafts (Jangadas) that take you to a natural reef formation where you have fresh seafood cooked on another Jangada, drinks and especially the fresh fruits juices of the Nordeste (great stuff)l
Maceio downtown was interesting, bustling, apart from the city, and J Wadd mentioned at night there is a lot of GP activity (I stayed in the beach area Ponta Verde). A decent collection of GP's after 10:30 pm gather on the sidewalk in front of Lampiao's. Many were very passable, some downright cute. Shopping Iguatemi had a lot of normal Brasilian eye candy, and a lot of good shops if you want to shop, (not especially cheap, for cheap go to the downtown area). Overall, Maceio was a good place to visit...tranquil, safe, but could get a little boring if I had to live there.
