I suggest you don't buy, at least for a long while. You can rent pretty much anything. There really isn't much benefit for you to buy real estate.

I am a long time travelor to Cebu. I agree with the below comments, but for the "Viking and upstairs BG." Many of my friends were disappointed with the out the door 1700bf. Although they argue it includes the "tip" most, if not all, my friends complained of poor service. I have learned you provide a tip after services have been rendered, and based on the quality of the service.

As for the BG, terrible experience there last time I was in Cebu (April). When I turned down the possiblity of a bf and told them I was leaveing the mamsan became extremely angry. She actually started ragging I must be gay, asked me if I wanted to barfine the bartender (a male).

I simply walked out, did not even finish my drink.

As to Paseo thanks for the reminder I heard about this new night life area but passed because it was too new then; I will check it out upon my return.

There are so many interesting places to hang out in Cebu, you can change up your routine daily for a month and everything is under a 100 peso taxi ride from Fuente where there is an absolute abundance of hotels and better valued pension houses within a half mile radius. Just pull out a map head to an area get off the taxi when you see high density of ladies and go for a stroll.

Stroll usually equals 3 blocks in two directions and another taxi between visiting a cafe or eatery and a mall and chatting up a few ladies. I am amazed how most ladies even the ladies at the Waterfront Hotel who when we chat bring up the topic of your love life, so don't worry it will come up or hints in discussion soon enough.

Get a cell. Bring your calling cards, and go for a stroll. But as previously stated downtown during the day is an absolute buffet of ladies, who are not pretending to be shopping just looking for a warm hearted kano. Well warm blooded and breathing for sure, so far.

I agree with you. the new all incl rates are all over the place. i think sisters is the most reasonable at 2000. blackhole was 2650, lonestar 2800 and dimples 2600 i think.
the most reasonable and realistic i found this trip was tinas darkened bar at 700 plus girls tip. with the all new incl I found most girls want to leave after the deed is done.
I have had better experiences in the past with the old payy the bf/pay the girl. i think the clubs might be ripping off the girls too as the dimples told me she only gets 500p. but i found a real rough in the needlestack at blackhole and she is just so horny. but i feel the rates are outragoues as i treat the girls fairly nice.
i return to manila today.

My post made it clear that Cebu isn't up to par with Angeles or LA Cafe, Edsa for that matter. I don't like my words being repeated in your post as the amount of posts on this board is small enough and your point relative to my entire post is moot.

I spoke of my experience in Viking or BG or Silverdollar or other bars as a patron drinking a few San Mig's with my curious gf feeling the vibe of the place, noticing the ladies and playing some pool. I found the ladies at Viking to be very respectfull not pushing drinks nor trying to get a barfine whilst I was with my lady. Some other bars I won't mention here because imop it just isn't worth bashing anyone bar.

I was in Vikings three to four times because it was busy with expats, the vibe was good and the lineup was fine, the pool tables suck. Saying that I felt a better vibe and ambiance from SilverDollar althought the ladies were not as fine I went there more often. Ambiance for a person with time matters most.

Most agree Cebu in general sucks when it comes to value for your money for GRO's. For those on a limited time who want to get best bang for their buck with GRO's I would skip Cebu. I didn't explore the many massage parlors, the limited street action etc. But the P4P scene is lacking overall. This view is expressed in detail with an expert in the field at whorist.com I am not an expert by no means.

Did see Tina's downtown near McSherry's but didn't stop in. Might do next time. I was only there at night twice whilst visiting some fellow Canucks whom I bumped into at Vikings. Their base of operations however was near Tina's.

I did do a memory trip around the block Mercedes alas a big change in price, in 2001 at 299p and visited that barber shop across the street. Gonzo. To tell you the truth, this sleazy area overall didn't seem like a total security risk to me if one is with a buddy. I think it is a good place for cheap charlies seeking lower priced ladies. Just not my cup of tea.

On a different note, I am recommending Friendster as a great place to meet the many normal ladies that are to be found in abundance anywhere in the Phil. I understand that there are five million Pinoys online there. I also recommend FH but having several pics to look at is a better view of their figure than their best face pic they display. However I see a problem if they find out all your friends on friendster and start contacting them so I will close my friendster account shortly upon my arrival which also remains a secret as does which pension house I stay at. Thats another disadvantage of being a player and owning real estate / condo in the Phil. Harder to move around if need be.

I have already lined up a bakers dozen and I will be well stocked with fine ladies for the next eight months as soon as the Canadian winter sets in and I return to Cebu. My entire stable of four gf's came entirely from FH and this came from a larger selection of ladies which one interviews between ladies.

If you have the time, the game and enough residual income Cebu is hard to beat all things considered, minus the GRO's. If GRO's are your game, time is limited head straight to Angeles until your back up sperm accumalation problem has been dealt with.

But don't get me wrong, I probably could have saved money if I stayed in Angeles with GRO's relative to the cost of keeping a GF, but I like that headspace.

CEBU has a fine stable of women. One can find a decent GF for a month or longer in a great physical environment with adequate infrastructure to keep one in creature comforts any day of the week for quite a few years to come. Amen.

Be VERY worried about any RE transaction. I ran a biz there for 3 years. #1 prob was the lease I signed. In the US I would have sued landlord. Not an option for me with him (i'm back in usa). He's got me by the balls. Real Estate is soooo different there. Throw away ideas of property/lease/renting/buying in the US.

You would think that a good attorney could watch out for you and make sure the contract is fair for both sides.

Think hard before you buy:
Do you really want to be in ONE PLACE: flexibility, neighbor problems, earthquakes?
Do you want to invest in Philippine Peso?
In Phils. services and maintenance of a condo can deteriorate.
Can you sell the condo in the future when and if you want to get your money back?

Why not invest you money somewhere and use income to pay rent? That way you can always access your money when you want to.

Perhaps you misunderstood the purpose of my post, i.e., to alert other mongers of some "bumps in the road" - one of the essential functions of this board.

I must admit I have been in 95% of the GRO bars on Mango and Fuente area, some 30 seconds with a quick retreat, and Lone Star should be up there on ones list. I enjoyed my time there. The place is popular meaning busier than the majority of bars, and agree that the ladies are naughty. They enjoy dancing with the customers and dirty dancing at best. They are for sure hard core, right up there with Silver Dollar and deserve special recognition when one considers that they have a large stable.

Alas the pizza was over rated. For those looking for a decent pie, I found Don Henrico's and Tequila Joes in Ayala to be much better.

Btw, the bump sounded more like a migraine but I would not doubt for a second your experience and yes that's what its all about here, but overall Viking and BG are running a successful business. But there is little doubt that the GRO's in Cebu can't be making money like their associates in Angeles and maybe it is the lack of sex that makes them cranky - lol.

When I went there last year, I was sorely disappointed. No renovation. The women didn't look appealing at all, and to top it off they got cranky when I said I'd prefer to drink alone. I had swollen tonsils and could barely talk.

Most of the customers wire Pinoy.

Of course things do change quickly in the bar business. Let's hope for the best.

Like life you get out what you put in and what is 5-10 bucks for a nights work. You will never ever be able to make me beleave that a gal that stays all night is not worth a tip! Like my favorite shirt states, "if you think 50 pesos is a lot of money you stayed here too long"

Less than 40 dollars for a bf and some guys are upset? Take all those big spenders to manila and try and get a bf for 1700 p. Could be they should get some street action and go to mercury drug the next day for some zithromax at $10 plus dollars USA Per pill.That is always a good cure for the KREPUT BLUES.


Try some of the other bars around the area could be you hit the rong place at the rong time.Also when you travel in packs they think they can make the whole group stupid for cash.
