happened with me twice on this trip, once while walikng towards my hotel in pattaya, when one who was riding his scooter stopped and asked me if I wanted a massgae, however his voice was cracking and he was way too tall and preety to be a woman, I told him sorry but I had a friend waiting for me in walikg street and began to walk away.

I always stay at the Majestic suites while I am in Bkk. Its just around the corner from Nana Plaza and the Nana hotel.
The rooms are rather small, but nice and clean. THe service from the hotel is outstanding. The food in their restaurant is actually on the better side, and its just about 1500 bath for a double superior room. Be aware you have to book in advance. They are always full.

Yes the 2 majestics are the ebst deals.
If you are on a budget, go to Majestic suites, it's 1350 B for a superior room, directly booked through their website. No pool, no view, but friendly service, GF, and everything available, safe, internet etc..
If you can spend a bit more, Majestic Grande is better, book through asiarooms, it's cheaper than directly with the hotel
