There are just as many married Thai woman on the dating sites, as single girls.

The sucessful Thai man in his 30's or 40's goes for the hot piece of ass. A lazy princess, probably from upper middle class Thai parents. Perhaps, she is college educated but has never worked. Her day is filled with eating, shopping and wasting time. Fast forward a few years, by this time he has gone on to a keeping wife (gik) or whatever. However, this is Thailand. She does not divorce him, she gets even.

Her parents have money, her husband gives her money. She does not need money. She wants a fling with a falang. In time she may tell this falang the truth, maybe he will be ok with the situation or maybe they will both move on.

Now if you are living in a one room shithole on lower Sukhumvit, you don't have much chance of picking up one of these woman. However, if you have a pretty nice place these dating sites are gold mines. If you don't have a sofa, in a different room from your bed, the game is over.

It's interesting that BG7 hasn't changed much through the years. It's been around since the 1980s, maybe even earlier than that. When the founder passed away, his family tried to "reform" BG7 for a short while, but I guess they have given up on that idea.

I think the TRUE key to success in online dating is to be patient (obviously that only really works if you live here).

A German guy I know taught me this and I consider him to be the supreme master of online dating.

It is definitely true that you can laid on the first date but if you play the long game you will, within about 4 to 6 weeks become absolutely inundated with girls, literally one every day is very achievable.

His advice to me was to never aim for sex on the first date and to completely delete that thought from your mind. His approach was to build a massive portfolio of women that had become curious about him and that he would aim to sleep with on the second date after some sms back and forth after first meeting.

This guy had spreadsheets to keep track. He even had predesignated meeting points where he could view the meeting point from a location where he couldn't be seen and if the girl didn't look like her pictures he would just leave.

Make sure you have a meeting place close to where you work or live and don't go to the meeting point until they turn up because they will ALWAYS be late and you will waste hours of your life that way. Make them wait instead.

Never meet for Dinner or Lunch as it is too big of a commitment from both sides and expenses will soon add up. Starbucks gets expensive if you are meeting 2 or 3 girls per day so aim for those really nice Thai style coffee shops that most areas have.

Just some thoughts in case you are thinking about getting into the online dating scene.

I met my wife online and can confirm that it definitely does not hold any stigma at all in Thailand or Asia in general. She is a lovely girl, works in finance and her family do ok for themselves and there are no "support" requests for her or her family and never will be. For all intents and purposes it is just a completely normal relationship. There are PLENTY of nice girls online that make good marriage material.

I will say though that it helps if you have a lot of experience in Thailand and know the signs to look for in terms of not so good marriage material vs marriage material.

I think it must be way easier to pick up civilian (non P4P) ladies in LOS than places like the USA & UK.

If I were to write a book on online dating, what you quoted above from your friend would be on my list of things Not to do.

Huge portfolio? Spreadsheet? Rely on Pictures and hide like a 15 year old to see who the girl is? Not for me. That is a total waste of time.

You need to research properly, talk only with the girls YOU are interested in, Always CAM before any meeting to avoid surprises and always bring the conversation to Naughty stuff (yes, there is a way to bring it up as not to offend the lady). With all that, you get laid on the first date. Hell, I never meet a girl in a public place, she comes to my room on the first date.

I guess different people have different ways.

The amount of time needed to cam is extremely time consuming.

If you knew anything at all you would know that THE prime time for online dating is afternoon's between 3pm and 5pm when women are bored at work and they are not going to Cam at work.

Ignore the "work" crowd and you are missing out on about 50% to 60% of girls online...
