Looking up the law, there is a provision in there for civil forfeiture. Hell, you do not even have to be convicted of trafficking to have assets seized. If he said it's Thursday and you correctly told him it was Monday you would immediately be classified as a communist, a feminist and a threat to humanity. All I said on the subject is that nobody here has enough information about the case to determine guilt or innocence. As it stands from a mongers perspective, there is a real risk for him to get caught up in a completely consensual situation which morphs into something else. Why is it that we all travel abroad for this activity? The cost maybe a factor for some but certainly not for many others. In my case considering the short stints I go for, and travel inconvenience considered, I certainly do not go for $ costs being lower. It's 100% the other factors mentioned. It's obvious that the US with its unique set of circumstances has become a sexual wasteland. It's not an exaggeration. We all are living walking evidence of it. From a libertarian perspective, if no 3rd party is involved, and I buy a chica a ticket to come meet me in X or why city. She is free to board or not board that plane. If you have a car and transport a woman in said car across state lines, the feds can seize that car without even making an arrest. All they need is an accusation. As I said, his arrest had only a minimal effect on him. All charges were dropped along with all charges against the other 25 people arrested. Even before charges were dropped, he was only facing 2 misdemeanors.
