Visa.

I tried several times to obtain the evisa but could not figure out how to pay. So arrived at CGK with no evisa and expected to wait one hour in the VOA line. It took about 8 minutes and I had my visa. Don't forget to follow up by scanning the QR code. You'll know what I mean when you arrive.

Grab / Taxi.

I read a recent post about finding Grab past the "Bluebird stand. " I had no idea what is Bluebird so I found a taxi stand outside. 360,000 to my hotel in Central. Not a bad price. I then realized I was at the Bluebird stand LOL.

Hotel.

I checked into the Luminor Pecengognongogngognognnananan about 2 hours from deplaning. I saw a massage services sign in the lobby. Checked into my room and showered and then called for massage.

15 min later, knocking on my door. I expected a granny but was surprised to find a pretty 30's lady. I could tell her ass was about 10 pounds heavy. The massage was very good. Then she offered an HJ. I overpaid because I let the little head do the thinking.

Emporium.

After my massage I went to Emporium. It is literally next door to Luminor. I was introduced to David and he had me take a seat and sat with me to discuss what I liked. When it comes to Hotel Classic or the massage places and the like, is it possible to pay for all the services by card or better yet a mobile wallet app? Minus tips of course being in cash.

Considering the low amounts you can withdraw per transaction, I want to minimize my trips to the ATM.

Classic, Emporium, KC, MTR, 1001, Malio all takes cards. I remember seeing card options in other places like Kimochi, Groovy, Orchid too but I wouldn't use my card in Kota Indah or similar type places. You are better off using Visa instead MC / Amex. Go with Google Pay if you have that option. Unfortunately no Apple Pay available in Indonesia yet.

Don't just handout the card to hostess / receptionist. Ask to hand over the machine itself so that you can do the swipe or insert.

I suspect it might even allow a larger withdrawal if you have any HSBC affiliated account. It's about 10 minute walk from HI hotel.

The photo below is from the listing just inside the hotel lobby. I suspect most guys don't have any reason to venture to that back entrance unless they stay at the hotel. I popped the pic at 1 pm on an early Aug weekday and everything was absolutely empty. All the guards were saying come back after 2. There were a few hungry looking mongers seated about in different lobby spots, but cafes weren't even open yet.

The second pic below was a very small sign on the reception desk laying out Classic Spa prices.

The night I arrive I was surprised to see so many midnight arriving flights. I wasnt even sure anything would be open at that time, but much of the airport operated as usual after midnight. The eVOA was horribly long when I saw it. Glad you didn't need to wait.

Yeah the Bluebird stand is the Bluebird taxi. Its the first thing you see out of the exit. I think they use meters, 360 k seems a bit expensive. Its only around 200 k to HI with toll, give or take 20 k, and even though Luminor is a little farther than HI, it should only be an extra 30-40 k. So maybe its worth walking an extra minute down to Grab to get a lower price, but I'm not sure about that.

Mamasan may prefer cash in Terminal but if you say you are out of cash and want to pay by card they will take you to the cashier to do that. In Classic Spa, Emporium etc the entire bill is settled at the end with your card or cash. Girls prefer tips in cash but will take them any which way. I've used my CC regularly and had no issues.
