Flying to Rio tomorrow and am very excited to return to the land of so much joy. I've been reading through the board and think I have a pretty good handle on the Termas and beach activity. Price-wise, Indo takes the cake for value for money, but you'll have to put up with a lot of bullshit (ridiculous traffic, drug-addicted girls, clingy girls, etc). All of this applies to Thailand on a lesser scale. In Brazil, I've found the girls to be less mercenary and more interested in the fun of it all (I'm sure I've still got rose-colored glasses on, though). Price is higher, as it is for pretty much everything here.

To sum up this amazingly pointless post, I'll just say that both Thailand and Brazil (and Indonesia, if you can handle it) are well worth visiting for our particular hobby. As I've read through this board, I know that there is a pining for the 'good old days' -- same in both of the other locations -- but it's a pretty amazing thing that we are able to indulge these fantasies at all in this day and age. I luckily have a bit of spending cash and no familial attachments of any kind, so my preference for Asia is probably due to me landing there first ten years ago at the ripe old age of 23. If it had happened differently, I can definitely see myself falling in love with this culture (and the deliciousness of the local fauna).
