I’m going to be in BKK for a few days in late January before I head south to Pattaya for 2 weeks. I would like to find a place VERY close to Nana Plaza and besides Nana Hotel, can anyone recommend someplace else? As usual, my flight gets in at 11:30pm, so heading to Pattaya at midnight seems foolish or isn’t it? Either way, I figured I’d find a place for a few nights and then head south. And like everyone else, I want to find some company for night number 1 to keep me company and help me with the stress of the 28 hour flight. As far as heading to Pattaya at midnight or 1 am, would it be smart to go then versus during the day? The traffic is nonexistent then so it might be better then. What are your thoughts on this idea?

Yes, and never pay up front or take two. They are worthless when doubled up. Always keep control of the situation and keep them at arm's length. They are diabolical. Roll your trousers up (pockets in) and stash them under the fridge or between the mattresses. A duo will compete on who can to the least amount of work. I like it when the cell rings and they start crying about a relative that just died or got injured badly to soften you up for more money. I just laugh. Security will always side with you. If they don't perform you can just have them ejected, and if good stuff doesn't begin within 10 minutes of walking in the door it is ejection time. Cheaper to pay a security guard 500thb for the IMMEDIATE eject than the prices I see quoted by some of the recent posts here. The best and worst BKK knobbers I ever had were from the Beergarden FLs and it was all about who was in control. The nightime dudes behind the front desk at Nana and Grace will do their best to protect you as they did me many years ago when I started out. Also, you have limited time to play games, and a drawn out bad experience can ruin the evening. If you are staying at Nana the girls don't want to get in bad graces with staff there. If you are at the Grace, the girls will definately not try anything funky. The Arabs have been doing this very well, long before Europeans and Americans showed up. That is their little corner. NEVER strike a girl for any reason!

Check the hotel thread, there is a lot of discussion about this subject.
With the new airport you are a lot closer to Pattaya than before. I would say it's a toss up as to which is a better more: Pattaya or Bangkok.

I can recommend the Dynasty Inn Hotel. It cost 1280 Bhat per night and has quite good rooms and is silent. It's oposite Nana Hotel and girlfrienly.
About the idea to go to Pattaya right from the Airport. Well you can do, it will be not much traffic. I did it once and but it wasn't a pleasure. I was alert, because the taxi driver felt every ten seconds in a sleep and I had to shake his arm to wake him up. Not very relaxing.

By the way, some asked here for a place where to meet pretty girls in Bangkok. The Disco in Novotel is a good place to meet stunner. Best place to see pretty girls I saw until now in Bangkok. There are Thai, CIS and even some Black pros to find.

The construction is in the front area, the Hotel is still open just go to to the back area. They also offer their guest free transfer to Pattaya if you are going to stay at the Dynasty Inn or Resort in Pattaya.

There are streetwalkers in Chinatown! I had only read mention of them in a few old reports, but at first sight I was pleasantly surprised by the scene. There are quite a few girls, and by no means all are old and ugly. Most of the girls asked 300 or 400 baht to start, though the few really attractive ones stuck to 500. In November the weather is lovely and not at all hot in the provinces and Pattaya, but in Bangkok it is, as always, sickeningly hot.

Dynasty Inn is open. Just the entrance building is under construction. But they have a other lobby, at a small lane beside the construction side. The Hotel itself is not under construction and inside the Hotel you do not even hear the work outside.

Did you read the Forum before going to Bangkok? The normal rate for LT is 2000 baht, 2500 at most. Never agree to 5000! Even 4000.

Off to Bangkok next week and have never visited Nana's or Soi Cowboy. Can anyone recommend a place to sit and watch without being hassled too much? Would like to be able to sit, have a drink and people watch without being ripped off.

What I read between your lines is that you paid upfront. A big mistake. I would have given her 1000 and told her she can get the balance in the morning.

You should negotiate 1000 for the first shot, and 500 for each thereafter. You will be surprised how horny they get. If she is more of a bomb, offer 1000 for the second shot too.

Remember the definition of stunner: A 'stunner' is any woman who comes back with a price that has a cost vs percieved value for money ratio that leaves me stunned.
