... Another thing Thailand is great but I'm getting sick of Thai food and Indonesian food is more interesting / tasty.
Quite right. Problem is, depending on the venue you're ten times as likely to get food poisoning (bacteria) in Indonesia. I stopped eating the delicious "masakan padang" (Padang cuisine) in Indonesia for every time I did so I had 50% chance of spending the night on the shitter. In Padang cuisine people eat with their hands. By the way, do hotels like Hyatt, Meridien, Shangri-La ... still offer superb buffets at give-away prices like they did in the first decade of the century?
This is bad news. Can other Jakarta veterans provide feedback?
Vendelo, you learned this from ONE girl? Or multiple girls told you this?
I am trying to understand the sample size of this information.
~BKK
In Jakarta the mamasan calls the shots. If the mamasan doesn't care about age gaps, chances are the girl doesn't care either.
Coincidentally, on my recent trip (see my two FRs), I asked one of my girls about indo girls' feeling about age difference. The response I received was not good for old guys. Indo girls are different than Thai girls. Thais don't care about age nor age gap. I've dated Thai girls 40 years younger than me. ...
Really? If only that were true. Living in TH I find Thai girls to care a hell of a lot about age gaps these days. Many girls on ThaiFriendly make in clear upfront they don't want older men (screenshot below). Note there's no reason why indonesian girls should be much different. However in many Indonesian venues girls may seldom be able to afford rejecting older customers. In our hobby this matters more than the frame of mind of today's teenage generation. And yes, this may be one more reason to ignore the online market when mongering in Indonesia.
