And this does have the possibility of causing a problem. Like I said, most Jewish people I know would scoff at this saying in the Talmud, but this current administration in Israel is killing Muslims, many if not most of whom are innocent, at an alarming clip.
And while I think the average American Jewish person would scoff at that saying, I think they are so blind in their support of Israel that they do not get the hypocrisy of stating they do not believe in that phrase and supporting the current position this Israeli administration and so many Israelis hold.
I get that Hamas killed and raped and tortured many innocent Jews, but can Trump make the case that killing so many innocent Muslims is not the answer for the vengeance they seek? Is that going to piss off the Jewish people in America? Can American Jews get that being against killing innocent Muslims does not make one antisemitic?
I do not know MDS. I have seen how adamant the American Jews are with their support of Israel. It does have the potential to break the Republican party in two. Trump has to be careful. One of the dumbest things I have seen foreign policy wise was when Carter said he supported the Shah when it was obvious his days were numbered.
The usual line about I support Israel has the potential to backfire like saying we support the Shah did. Israel is the aggressor here, and I do not want the USA supporting the aggressor in any war.
