I ended up with a girl that the Chinese mamsan there on that recommended who turned out to be a poor service provider. Similarly, the mamasan Leddy at Alexis who has recommendations are quite reliable was not there at the Alexis yesterday. As a result I have ended up with a different girl each time and not repeated though may be this is a good thing despite the one or two bum experiences . Is it that the papasans and mamsans move with their flock between these better MP-bordellos and rotate the same stock? I suspect this though I don't know if this is the correct position. But the senior members would be in a better position to comment.

Anyway as far Ninariya is concerned I think she is worth a repeat. Looks -7, GFE-9, body-9, service -10. I ended by giving her a 200k tip for the excellent performance so that the total damage was 1050 k incl. soft drink. I also must say that the Alexis rooms are much better for mongering with their large bed,pillows, couch, red curtains, low lights, and proper toilet facilities and most of all for mirrors that allow you to see yourself in action and add to the experience.

I am pleased to say that the previously reported problems at Atrium seem to have gone away; at least they certainly had last Sunday evening. I went there with my friend, a fellow regular contributor, and we immediately saw the first clue which was local guys obviously hunting and hanging around the escalators at the end with the kids playground. Within less than an hour we had counted 10 girls who were obviously "looking". The standard however, was somewhat below the usual Atrium standard which is mediocre at best.

We did however make contact with one girl waiting around the cinema who was the best of the lot. Just to confirm previous reports, I arrived at the airport 40 minutes before my friend who was coming from elsewhere. I spotted two girls together and easily got chatting and arranged to see them later. Both were very good and one very much "my type", the other my friend's type. Owing to logistical reasons we never got to see them but they are "on the list". Given time, I remain convinced you can always get girls in there - ideally mid/late evening when international flights come in.

There are certainly girls there; I have met them before. If you are interested in meeting girls there you can also consider the Transit Hotel (try searching for my previous reports) but of course they are definitely "working". The boyfriends being waited for may be real or virtual; either way, the girls can be picked up. As always, it's best to just walk up to them and start chatting, you'll never get a serious rebuff.

I assume you are talking about women who are still married rather than divorcees? There are lot of still-married women who chat on YM (see report on that) and I think they would be good options from the perspective of reliability. I'm only guessing, but having chatted with quite a few of them (on YM), I get that impression as they are quite prescriptive about where and when they would be prepared to meet. Reliability, as we all know, is one of the few virtues which most Jakarta girls are not over-endowed with.

I've only been with one in the past who lied about her age and size; in fact I would put her in the TG category. After mongering in Jakarta since 2004, Kartika Spa remains my favorite place, because of the fairly consistent level of good service and the combination of the soapy massage plus FS - full service is always on the menu here!

Now that two of my regulars are gone (Cynthia died in November, Ira went back to her kampung permanently to stay with her son), I’ve started to take a look at the other ladies available, and have had several 1-girl and 2-girl combination sessions with new talent recently. Here’s what I’ve found:

- first, while there are always at least 30 ladies on duty, at least half of them would be rejected by most (if not all) of the mongers reading ISG, for being too fat, ugly, old, etc. (a couple of the larger girls are downright scary-looking). However, most of the remaining girls are ok, with a couple of real gems hiding amongst them:

- best overall choice is Irma (same name as my recent find at Maribaya, but a different girl), who’s 19 years old (maybe 18?), pretty face, medium height, nice soft late-teen body, fun to be with, has been there 6 months so is well trained and provides great service (unlike most of the teenage girls I’ve met recently).

- almost as good a choice is Cindy, 22 years old, has worked here two years, possibly the prettiest girl here, nice thin figure, provided the best service I’ve received here since Cynthia. Only flaw here is her extremely small set of tits, not a big deal, but it is noticeable during the body massage, the massage from her just isn’t the same as a massage from a girl with big tits. Note: Cindy is currently very popular, I’ve tried to have a repeat session with her, but every time I’ve been at Kartika recently, Cindy’s been busy upstairs with another customer.

- dropping down a bit is Ella, one of the tallest Indonesian girls I’ve met in Indonesia, pretty face, huge breasts, nice long legs, looks great in high heels and a short skirt. She’s 26 and has worked at Kartika at least 2 years, if not longer, gave good service. Problem here is that’s she’s one of those girls who looks better with her clothes on instead of off; her tits are huge but sag a lot, and there are lots of wrinkles and stretch marks on her stomach/abdomen from childbirth (she has a 12 year old child, yes, she had a child at age 14).

- also at a lower notch is Eka (Ika?), 22 years old, fairly cute, also has worked there for 2 years, decent tits, no children yet so no sag or wrinkles, but she is simply too fat for most mongers. I was with her as part of a 2-girl session and enjoyed the session, but I would definitely choose Irma or Cindy over her.

- only bad choice I've ever had at Kartika was in late January, with a barely-legal girl named Ina (I think that’s her name, not sure). Medium height, cute, overweight but very, very small breasts, had only been working there five days when I was with her. The mamasan pushed me to choose her, my mistake was having a one-girl session with her rather than having a 2-girl session with one of the more experienced regulars (who could have shown Ina what to do). Upstairs, the session was a disaster, she obviously had received little or no training (unusual for Kartika, usually the girls are well-trained here). She seemed totally disinterested in being with me, she did tell me that she had had only two customers, both Indonesians, that I was her first foreigner customer. After 10 minutes of the worst body wash ever, I gave up, got dressed and walked out, telling the mamasan downstairs how bad the session was. The mamasan apologized and said that I didn’t have to pay anything; she offered to choose a different girl, but I declined and left. Interestingly, when I went back a week later, I was told that Ina had “gone back to her kampung” - maybe they fired her?

In summary, Kartika remains IMHO a good place to visit for those mongers who want a body wash/massage and good full service; just stay away from any young girl who’s only been there a couple of weeks.

As Wismaasia has already pointed out, the Lokasari Plaza area on Jalan Mangga Besar that I posted about last week is due west of your hotel, no more than 10 minutes away. You are also 10 minutes away from Hotel Travel, which is on Jalan Mangga Besar VIII, a side road off of the main Jalan Mangga Besar.

Add another 5 minutes or less to continue on westwards to the intersection of Jalan Mangga Besar and Jalan Hayam Wuruk, where you'll find the infamous Stadium, Kartika, etc., with the Hotel Malioboro a few minutes further south.

You are also less than 10 minutes away from Atrium Mall (a straight shot south of the Sheraton Media), a great place for day-time mall hunting.

To the northeast (20 minutes by taxi) is the Kelapa Gading area, where you'll find Sumo Shiatsu, MTR2 and several other places.

To the northwest (less than 10 minutes by taxi) are the "PangJay" MPs off of Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta (Sari Ayu, MTR, Royal, Kristal, etc.), they are down two alleys to the right just after you pass under the railway overpass.

Continue another 5 minutes past the PangJay MPs and you'll reach the high-end Beverley Hills Spa and the low, low end Virgin Spa, both next to the old Jakarta City Hall and the Cafe Batavia (once rated by Newsweek as one of the best bars in the world). Another 5 to 10 minutes and you'll reach the high-end Alexis Hotel & Spa (one of Oyenk's favorite places).

Not counting the Kelapa Gading places and the Jl. Industri Raya places, there are at least 30 MPs within 10 to 15 minutes of your hotel in the areas described above. Oh, for Jl. Industri Raya, these places are relatively low-end (& cheaper); the best places seem to be #19, #39-40 and #47. Avoid #29, which appears to have many "lady boys" in the mix.

Unfortunately the well-known hotel night-club pick-up spots of BATS (Shangri-La Hotel), CJ's (Mulia Hotel) and 30 bar (Le Meridien Hotel) and the Blok M bars on Jalan Fatahillah are all to the south, around 30 minutes away in night-time, more during the day.

A note on distance and time: All of the times quoted earlier are for off-peak times, which would include mid-evening. If you've lived in Vietnam for 14 years, why no posts about the mongering scene there?

And you've only made two posts here, both asking the same question, but hey I'm in a good mood today, so here's your answer:

Inside the Mulia hotel is CJ's, one of the 3 main bar/night club pick-up spots for expats in Jakarta (along with BATS at the Shangri-La and Tiga Puluh at Le Meridien). You are also close to a club named the Red House and within 10-15 minutes from Blok M (no "c" in the word "blok").

Unfortunately you are quite far from the other places you've mentioned. Unless you are incredibly lucky with traffic, for non-peak hours, Malioboro would be at least 20-30 minutes away, Lokasari another 5 to 10 minutes farther, Alexis another 10 to 20 minutes farther.
