Traffic
I will be staying for business at the Mulia Hotel from tomorrow. Read much good stuff about Alexis, Malioboro and Lokasari Plaza. Can anyone advice me how far these places are from Mulia Hotel by taxi in regular traffic?
Many Thanks!
All these places are in the north of the city, form where you are it would take an about an hour. non peak time is lunch time and half past 3pm. people goes down town at that time so traffic would be light going up north. But going back is a pain so go back late, or rent a car with a driver; much cheaper than a cab and you can take your time.

Greed at Unique Spa
Just got sent to Indonesia and I tend to hang out in the Tebet area...on Jalan Casablanca heading to Kuningan there is a street parallel to the entrance to gudang peluru called Jl. Assam baris. Went to Unique spa which would be on your almost immediate left and got a vitalizing massage...
Got a girl named Silvi. Petite beautiful small breasts nice round perky ass. Now a massage were all the attention is on my vital tool is a new thing for me just been here a (couple of weeks). Halfway through I get the special service misterrrr and I say yes I am definitely foreign so I assume prices were a bit high for me but you can get a tug job for 150 and a blow for around 300.
Went for the blow and ended up paying 400 with a tip more for attitude than for service and the girl's phone number in case a want a hotel visit. I know I could have gotten more in Block M but I was already here and horny.
The above post is from May, 2007 but the info is still relevant.
I went to Unique Spa yesterday. The receptionist said that 21 girls were on duty; I found that hard to believe as the place was obviously not that big (I think there are only three massage rooms here), so she handed me a photo album with photos of all 21.
A photo of the above-mentioned Silvi was the first photo in the album. I then noticed that the photos of at least three of the other girls in the album appeared to be photos of Silvi with a different name, clothes and hairstyles, so I suspect that there are less than 21 girls actually on duty. Interestingly the photos were real, normal photos, not the stylized fake-looking photos that one sees in many of the Jl. Hayam Wuruk brothels.
I picked out the photos of three girls and asked the receptionist who she would recommend and she said "Silvi" so I said ok. I chose a 1-hour "vitalizing" massage, house fee was 74,900 rupiah. Other options were also inexpensive, 90 minutes for just under 100,000 rupiah and 120 minutes for around 125,000 rupiah.
Off to the room, stripped down and then Silvi arrived. Szazel's description was correct, Silvi is your typical petite Javanese girl, age 22, maybe 41 kgs., slender waist, pretty face, straight black hair, looks like most of the girls selling DVDs at ITC-Kuningan's main floor. Silvi's breasts and ass appeared nice but she remained fully clothed throughout the session, and I wasn't given an opportunity to roam.
The massage was actually quite good, she knows how to do one properly. She spoke no English but was pleasant and friendly. I joked about wanting a "petik mangga" (dick massage) early on in the session, so she did a bit of that (although it wasn't that good and did not arouse me much). Note: the walls of the massage room do not extend all the way to the ceiling, there was only a curtain at the doorway (no solid door) and one could faintly hear conversations in the adjoining rooms.
Towards the end of the hour, she asked me to flip over, rubbed around my inner thighs, then pointed to my dick, made a HJ motion, then the universal hands-rubbing motion that signified a tip. I sat up and whispered in her ear "how about a blow job?" to which she shook her head "no," pointed to her throat and said in perfect English "sore throat." Interestingly, this was the only English she spoke the whole time.
Ok, so I said "how much for HJ?" and she replied "500,000 rupiah." I laughed, said "too high" and countered with 200,000 rupiah, which was high based on what Szazel had posted, but which I figured was a decent overall tip for a good massage plus HJ (since I'm sure that she did not receive any of the house fee).
Amazingly, she refused the 200,000 rupiah, saying she wanted 500,000. I repeated my offer of 200,000 and she refused again. At this point I had lost interest, so I got up and got dressed. She didn't say anything at first, then as I started to walk out of the massage room, she asked me why I was leaving and I pointed out that she had asked for 500,000 and had refused the 200,000 I had offered. Silvi replied "ok, 200,000 is fine" but since I was already fully dressed and had one leg out the door, I said too late, and left.
I will probably not return to Unique, there's really no point in coming here again. Unless one is in the immediate vicinity, it's a pain to get here. The prices and services are comparable with other rub and tug places that are in better (for me) locations. Heck, Jaspa Spa in Mal Ambasador, also a HJ only place, is much easier to get to than Unique, has a nicer interior, and features a sauna and jacuzzi as well as massage, and none of the 4 girls I've had sessions with at Jaspa have ever been as greedy as Silvi was.
Side comment: I've noticed that the women at many of the rub and tug places can get greedy at negotiation time, as opposed to brothels such as Kartika, Royal Mas, TC, etc. where the girl seems happy with a 50,000 - 100,000 rupiah tip on top of the house fee; strange that these girls think that a HJ deserves a bigger tip than FS. Not sure why, Bulai69 has also written about this in the past. Perhaps the rub and tug girls see fewer foreigners and thus less opportunities to make a big kill on the tip?

Eddie, you are correct, the Transjakarta bus can be very fast, I take the bus at least once every day, usually to go home, and prefer it to a taxi. Also, if I'm near Plaza Indonesia during the daytime and want to go to Kartika or Malioboro, the bus is the fastest way to get there. BTW I'm usually the only foreigner (and tallest person) on the bus.
The reason why I didn't discuss the bus in my reply to Robin69 (below) is that it may not be that convenient to him. Robin69 will stay at the Mulia Hotel, and it would take him at least 10 minutes or more to get to the nearest bus stop at Ratu Plaza. If Robin wants to go to the Alexis Hotel, then he'll have to take another taxi once the bus line ends in Kota; once you add up the times for the taxi-bus-taxi combo plus transfer time, it could take longer than just a straight taxi ride.
Also, the bus stops running at 10 p.m., so Robin would probably have to take a taxi (Blue Bird is best) at least one way to get home.
Eddie, you are 100 per cent correct that Jakarta needs a subway system badly now, and traffic is only going to get worse, not better, in the near future. A major apartment/office/shopping complex, Rasuna EpiCentrum, is opening off of Jalan Rasuna Said in late 2008, and two new complexes are now being built on Jalan Satrio, one on either side of Mal Ambasador. The rush-hour traffic is already bad at both of those locations today, I shudder to think how bad the traffic will be once all 3 places open. Hopefully I'll be gone by then.

Bahasa for Blowjob

MS, what's the Bahasa Indonesia term for a blow job? Would like to know for future reference. Thanks

Tanah Abang
Reading through some old reports, I saw someone talk about small brothels near Tanah Abang railway station. I went and had a look in mid-afternoon the other day. There were a few rundown small hotels along the road, but I felt a bit nervous about just walking into a hotel and asking if they have any cewek on hand. Probably shouldn't have worried, but still. There were a few pembantu type girls sitting around by the side of the street, but nothing tempting. Probably should have taken one just to talk and find out a bit more about the scene there. I speak okay Indo: you'd be a bit stuck without it, I reckon. In the end, I just went down to Berlian in Kota, an old favorite.
Anyone know any more? Exspat? It was your post I followed.

Many Thanks!
Hi mate,
Hope you found your way around. Alexis is a long way from the Mulia really. If you are fortunate enough to find a few mates, then it might be worthwhile getting a silver bird and make a night of it, like I did last time I was there.
I got to say altho Alexis / Malioboro was good, they were also fairly pricey. Especially if you went foreign at Alexis like the Vietnamese / Thai / Chinese girls. And sometimes if you struck up the chemistry, you may get away with a much cheaper and much better night with a pick up at CJs.
I found also places like MyPlace or Kartika reasonably close via silver bird, and didn't blow the wallet for some fun.
Let us know how you get on.

Nice to see that at least one person read my report :)
As you can see from the numerous replies already posted, there are several Bahasa Indonesian phrases to describe a blow job. I use "karaoke" or "makan burung" (literally: eat the bird) to describe it.
I've also noticed that even girls who speak no English at all but who work in the sex trade know the phrase "blow job" so you may not need to use any of the new vocabulary you've just learned! Or if worse comes to worse, just use your finger/hand to point to her mouth and then to your dick, that should get the message across.

Yeah, "blow-job" is perfectly good Indonesian these days. Sore-throat, hey? The other day, I had Poni at Berlian refuse on the grounds that she'd just eaten a plate of sate and had six beers, so it would make her throw up, and we wouldn't want that, would we? Shame, she's good fun, but I'm going to have to retire her on those grounds. If you like tall and skinny, try Wiwiek, although she's one of the most popular and has a bit of attitude as a result.

Blow job in Indonesian
Well i cant contribute as my knowledge of Bahasa is nil.. but i liked the translation of " eating the bird".
In China the phrase is da fei jie.. which translates as " shoot the plane..." they clearly think we got a missile launcher and Exocets inside us.. anyways its funny how different countries call the same simple timeless blow job.

Fast eddie 48
I have from time to time use the bus way, only in a tight jam, I will have the driver go first and pick me me up at the destination after my meenting.
On a side note, I am ordering a bus fully complete with a bed, rest room, and an office lounge plus a small counter top for drinks and snacks; so I would pick people for a meeting and drop them off when I reach my next meeting destination.

Jakarta on the Ritz
i'm planning on flying over to jakarta in the next few weeks to try out the new ritz at pacific plaza, a club level room on the weekend can be had for a song (vis-a-vis singapore's ritz). i've stayed at the 'other' ritz though its located far from any real hot spots.
anyone have reviews on rcpp? any hot hobby spots nearby? i may invite my favorite massage "therapist" up from bali as failsafe, but i'm sure the vets on this site will inform me that i'd just be wasting my money. having lived in bali for several years i've been to jakarta many times on biz will occassional side visits to block m so i have a feel for the place but its been awhile and i would appreciate any new/updated insights into j's scene.
cheers,
mackay
