Hey everyone,

I am planning first trip this year and at this point looking for some hotel advice. Travelling with a buddy for what will be about a 7 week trip starting in Manila. Plan to stay there for about a week and then over to a beach spot (Boracay, Palawan, or Puerto Galera) for a few days and probably over to Cebu for several days. From the Philippines we plan to go to Vietnam possibly Cambodia and last to Thailand for about 3-4 weeks. For hotels we are wanting something decent for the first few nights in Makati to settle in and get over the jetlag (coming from Canada) We have checked with several hotels about their guest policy and it seems the majority are replying that guests need to leave by 10 pm including City Grand which is at the top of our list. That one gets mentioned quite a bit on here, has this been the experience that guests have to leave by 10 pm?

But I do agree, if you are meeting girls and you are paying them for sex (or giving them gifts before you meet them which is kind of a payment), they have NO RIGHT to tell you what to do and who you meet next. That should be common sense!

Now I am married to a lovely Singaporean girl, 20 years my junior who works in top Tech company, not with me for money, treats me like a king and understands that I will always have the desire to fuck strange pussy. Its the first time I have a partner I can be 100% honest with and its awesome. No hiding or cheating. I make my side trips to Phils or Thailand etc every few months and its all cool. Of course I have no desire to have a relationship with any Filipina or Thai girl and I also have no qualms paying for sex to keep it uncomplicated. I've tried the dating scene and while its supremely easy to fuck for free, it always ends messy with me having to ghost them in the end. You don't pay for sex, you pay to avoid felling guilty later.

The City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati has no restrictions on time guests may stay. I promise. Have stayed there many many times and have had many many girls stay the night with no issues. Rest easy.

Not to be confused with the City Garden hotel, which sits diagonally across Makati Avenue. Most places in Makati, including condos, have gone back to the old system of your girl giving up her ID with the door guard and signing in for the evening, and getting the ID back when she leaves.

I am not aware of anyplace stopping guests or removing guests after 10 pm anymore. If CGG is emailing that policy is guests out by 10 pm, that might be official policy, but its probably not enforced.

From reading the forum it seems many have stayed there and it is the nicer of the 2. I'll go ahead with the bookings for a couple of nights to recover from the journey and settle in. If we run into any issues we'll try somewhere else. Hopefully I can make some contributions to the forum after the trip. Haven't done so in the past with the exception of PM's long ago but there is a first time for everything. I would say I have helped several people on the ground in different locations. My trips over about the past 15 years have included several trips to the DR, Cuba, Colombia, Tijuana, Panama. Etc.

This was the response from the City Garden Grand. Several others had similar responses.

Pre-covid in 2019, got someone from smooci (just google that out as well) just for like a few hours (overpaid slightly) and since I was pretty happy with her decided to hold onto her for the night. Just asked if she wanted to stay the night and she was fine. Zero negotiations whatsoever on money. When time came for her to leave next day AM -she herself floated the idea of just staying back for the day as well. Long story short, she stayed over for a few days with me, went wherever I went and all I did was feed her, buy her clothes and just treat her well. When it was time to leave Manila, I just told her to get something nice and gave her like 300 USD (think roughly 3 full days at this time). She was genuinely happy with the money as well. I have lost touch with her (before someone asks for her number) but I have repeated this same play even in DR and that has worked as well.

I live, as some will know, in Davao, and the city did an excellent job distributing the vaccines it had available and did so efficiently and at no cost. I've had four shots, all Pfizer, and all were given on time. As far as I can tell through a totally non-random, non-stratified sample, the vax rates in A / see appear reasonably high, at least for the first 2 doses and the same appears to be true in MetroManila. One of the problems restricting the further dispersement of vaccines isn't related to supply but to extremely fear, on the part of lesser-educated people in the population, of injections of any type despite an ardent government campaign to persuade people to get vaxxed.

Trevor's claim is not that the vaccines don't work. His claim is that the vaccines kill people. His previous reporting is that 1/3 of the vaccines are placebo, 1/3 make people sick, and 1/3 kill recipients. Trevor is that right?
