Somchai, where did you get that custom motorbike seat?
So agreed to meet Am - (snip) Well folks, the moral of the story is do not expect gratitude, which is all I expected out of the deal. Know the girl needed the money. Next time, donations will be funneled through the Red Cross.
Interesting to hear the end to this long story.
You did well to reconnect with Am as a quasi "friend", screw her a few times, and enjoy it all until early morning. In her mind, that was her gratitude. After all, you did meet her where she works and paid ladydrink prices.
Seeing that Am is still working in a bar, I'm not surprised that she wanted money from you regardless of your flood "donation." P4P women's minds don't work that way. A pile of baht has a very short psychological "half life" around these parts.
You could have played it cool, given her the LT money she asked for, and got a little more if you really wanted to (if you liked her). What's a few 1000 baht in the big scheme of things? For some guys, not much. Sounds like you did the right thing, though, as they have a way of always asking for more. And, then there's the "principle" involved. ;)
For most bargirls, no matter what they say, fucking most (if not all) foreigners is just a job. If you are a visiting "tourist" you're a customer, nothing more. Even local ex-pat, so called "boyfriends" are just customers (whether they know it, or not).
Over in Pattaya, practice Daddy 07's time honored policy of "screw 'em and send 'em on their way." Everybody stays happy that way!
And, definitely think about saying "no" to the next one that asks you for money for no services rendered. That way you will not be taking care of some slick Somchai's souped up Honda Sonic! :)
