The legacy of iconic Repubs
Hope you are doing well these days SubCmdr and have the hoes flowing in Thailand. I must speak my opinion here. I get what what your saying about Trump's policies not support minorities and and low income individuals.
What policies in particular are you angry about?
I work in inner city and I am thrilled he's cracking down on crime. OMG when you have to work there everyday, it takes a very real toll on you. I have been reading the left wing media saying he's targeting black communities by cracking down on crime, but I can tell you the city where I live- Philadelphia- really needs something done. I call them pyscho bums. The pyscho bum population is just out of control. I went to get pizza late at night right before I left for my travels and there was a 300 lb dude in his underwear sweating like a pig just chillin on the street talking to himself like it was nothing, no cops bothering him or anything LOL. Shit like that bothers me, BTW he was white, not that it matters. For context I saw many homeless in Rio sleeping on the street, but none of them were Pyscho Bums that made me feel like I needed to keep an eye out for them. My point is, this poilcy people are complaining about in my opinion is a very good thing for all people and needs to be done. Dangerous homeless or mentally ill people who pose a threat need to get the help they need and be taken off the street. Especially away from people just trying to live and work in the city. They shouldn't have to deal with that every day.
Ronald Reagans shameful legacy: Violence, the homeless, mental illness.
As president and governor of California, the GOP icon led the worst policies on mental illness in generations.
One month prior to the election, President Carter had signed the Mental Health Systems Act, which had proposed to continue the federal community mental health centers program, although with some additional state involvement. Consistent with the report of the Carter Commission, the act also included a provision for federal grants for projects for the prevention of mental illness and the promotion of positive mental health, an indication of how little learning had taken place among the Carter Commission members and professionals at NIMH. With President Reagan and the Republicans taking over, the Mental Health Systems Act was discarded before the ink had dried and the CMHC funds were simply block granted to the states. The CMHC program had not only died but been buried as well. An autopsy could have listed the cause of death as naivet complicated by grandiosity.
...........
California was the first state to witness not only an increase in homelessness associated with deinstitutionalization but also an increase in incarceration and episodes of violence. In 1972 Marc Abramson, another young psychiatrist working for San Mateo County, published a landmark paper entitled The Criminalization of Mentally Disordered Behavior. Abramson claimed that because the new LPS statute made it difficult to get patients admitted to a psychiatric hospital, police regard arrest and booking into jail as a more reliable way of securing involuntary detention of mentally disordered persons. Abramson quoted a California prison psychiatrist who claimed to be literally drowning in patients. . . . Many more men are being sent to prison who have serious mental problems. Abramsons paper was the first clear description of the increase of mentally ill persons in jails and prisons, an increase that would grow markedly in subsequent years.
..........
Of all the omens of deinstitutionalizations failure on exhibit in 1970s California, the most frightening were homicides and other episodes of violence committed by mentally ill individuals who were not being treated.
Ronald Reagan as governor and president was the iconic Repub template for all Repub policies and agendas that followed:
'Republicans are defunding the police: Fox News anchor stumps congressman.

Continuing with the iconic Repub and template, Donald Trump:
Trump decries crime rates, but his administration has slashed prevention efforts.
The Trump administration moved this week to take over policing in Washington, D.C., and yesterday deployed the National Guard in the city, claiming a spike in crime. The president has suggested similar action could be taken in other cities.
But the data doesn't back up many of his claims. Murder and violent crime dropped significantly across the U.S. last year, a trend that's continued so far in 2025.
And, as John Yang reports, the federal law enforcement crackdown comes even as the administration cuts funding for other kinds of crime prevention work.
Defund, deregulated, abandon, the Repub way.
Sorry, but we just can't afford to fund the police, get violent, mentally ill homeless people off the street AND give Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, et al and their space ship hobby companies desperately needed tax cuts too.
The GOP has its priorities.
The Deep State is in quintessential DEEP SHIT

And so it continues, infinity
But Mainstream Media keeps suggesting to their readers and viewers that Repubs are "pro Business" and "better at handling the economy than Democrats"! Lololol!
Add this to the higher Inflation Rate, higher average price of a gallon of regular gas, worst real jobs report, Trillions more already added to the deficit, etc, etc, etc since Trump began to blitheringly blather about, took office and enact his Trump Tariffs / Tax Increases on the American Working Men and Women and Consumers:

But they are sure working hard day and night to get us there!
Why are housing prices continuing to increase?
Higher housing prices means more tax revenue. Fucks new home buyers.
Higher housing prices are because of the gross inequality of wealth distribution in the Dis-United States of America leading to the Rich and Super Rich buying up the assets of the middle class and poor. Rich and Super Rich realize that money in and of itself has not real value. That is why they use it to buy real assets.

The Cmdr is not angry because The Cmdr can get pussy anytime he wants!
Hope you are doing well these days SubCmdr and have the hoes flowing in Thailand. I must speak my opinion here. What policies in particular are you angry about?
Appreciate the well wishes RamDavison84. Yes, I have more prostitutes available for hire here in Thailand than I have the time, ability or money to fuck. I have a pussy priority system. Because I've got a rotation of regulars and a waiting list of those trying to get into the rotation.
I must speak my opinion here. I get what what you're saying about Trump's policies not support minorities and and low income individuals. What policies in particular are you angry about?
I am not here to debate policy with anyone. I do not sit in any position that would allow me to create or implement policy. So, I just express my opinions on it.
I appreciate your opinions Let's get one thing straight. I am not angry. I am disappointed. But please do not think it started with our current POTUS. I put the Dis-United States of America in my rearview mirror over a decade ago. Why? I did not like the direction I saw the country going and so I voted with my feet. People don't understand the power of they have. The one vote you get every four years don't mean shit to me. The real power is in presence and your dollars. I control where I spend mine, except for the IRS ass rape of my hard earned income that occurs each year.
I admire that you continue to be a productive hard working member in the Dis-United States of America under difficult conditions. You deserve to be safe. I spend the majority of my adult life protecting my fellow citizens in a civilian capacity. I took an oath during that time to protect the Constitution of the United States of America from all enemies foreign and domestic. So I will not allow anyone to question my commitment to my country of origin. Please note I am not directing this at you. But at the two main MAGA posters who are complete hypocrites. Law enforcement is underfunded. Law enforcement is not representative to the communities where they enforce the law. Law enforcement for the most part is rarely held accountable. It is the POLICE verse them. What the police do not realize is that they are THEM.
Stay safe in dem crazy streets my brother!
MAGA Fact Checking, not exactly their strong suit...
I see a lot of revisionist history being tossed around by the usual suspects here lately:

The same orange potus who blew Putin many more times than that for invading Crimea:
37 times Trump was soft on Russia.
https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/17/politics/trump-soft-on-russia
Those are just some of the blowjobs Trump gave Putin with regards to the tough military aid and sanctions Obama imposed on Russia for invading Crimea. Check out that link for many more blowjobs Trump gave Putin on other issues.
Not only did Obama not "do nothing" in response to Russia invading Crimea, but the blowjobs Trump gave Putin FOR invading Crimea as well as for many other attacks on our and other democracies tells us everything we need to know for why Putin didn't have to bother shedding any Russian blood in order to get his Trump Puppet to serve up his Anti-American, Democracy-destroying agenda on a silver platter.
Talk about giving Putin "the opening and confidence to launch a 2nd campaign"! Except it wasn't a matter of "ineptitude" on Trump's part. It was clearly Trump's determination to fulfill that murderous dictator Putin's wishes due to them both sharing the same World view and ambitions.
Thanks for that great fact checking post on Crimea!
The amount of MAGA dis/misinformation claims that "Obama did nothing", is just jaw-dropping staggering, from the gullible suckers on the right.
It gets really old fast and I get really tried, of those MAGA cultists, who constantly love to "shot from the hip" and make loud mouth unsubstantiated MAGA "know nothing", "do nothing", "no nothing" claims.
Always posting their "loud-mouth" MAGA claims, with nothing and no evidence to backup said claims.
Once again, GOOD POST!
